In this paper I shall discuss an impact parameter representation of the scattering of two spinless distinguishable particles. Cottingham and Peierls have proposed an impact parameter formalism,1 and Adachi and Kotani have tried to explore its mathematical aspects2 and the physical meanings3,4 of the coefficients (the impact parameter amplitude) of the impact parameter expansion of the scattering amplitude.‡
