Considerations for professionalism of nursing students in clinical practices 护理专业学生在临床实践中的专业性思考

This is a descriptive study that aims to determine the factors affecting the professional behaviour of nursing students in clinical applications. The survey was conducted between 20 September and 20 December 2017 with the participation of 274 students studying in the Nursing Department of Health Sciences Faculty of a University. The data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 18 questions and Nursing Students Professional Behaviours Scale (NSPBS). The mean age of the nursing students participated in the study was 20.67 ± 1.88 years and 81.8% of the students were female while 18.2% were male. Of them, 78.5% loved their profession, 60.9% chose their profession willingly, 67.5% did not want to change their profession and 9.5% of them were members of professional associations and followed professional publications. The mean score of NSPBS was determined to be 122 (29–135). Hence, the nursing students’ ability to perform professional behaviours was found to be high.Keywords: Nursing, student, professional behaviour.

Determination of reasons for organisational silence of executive nurses 主管护士组织沉默原因的确定

The research has been carried out as a descriptive way to find out to determine the factors that affect the silence of executive nurses. The research consists of a university hospital in Istanbul as 101 executive nurses employed. The relationship among the demographic features of the executive nurses, the questions as for speaking tendency and the factors that affect their silence have been tried to be identified. It has also been statistically analysed whether any relationship has existed among these. The findings of the research show that; 25.7% of the executive nurses don’t shared when they reached the important information about the work and that their silence for reasons of great priority was ‘managerial and organisational reasons’. The scores the nurses mentioned above got from the scales of the issue and they were reasons why they were silent were meaningful when the correlation tables studied.Keywords: Nursing, executive nursing, organisational silence, silence in executive nurses.

Cultural practices before and during pregnancy: example of Turkey 怀孕前和怀孕期间的文化习俗:土耳其的例子

Having children is a substantial part of cultural identity in our society. From past till now, various customs, traditions and beliefs have been applied, especially during pre-pregnancy and pregnancy period in Anatolia. Some of them are still in practice and effective. However, all these practices to have children are applied generally to women, and there are few practices applied on men regarding the elimination of infertility because women are regarded as responsible for not having children in Anatolia. In this compilation, the traditional beliefs and practices applied before and during pregnancy in Anatolia are explained. National and international articles on this subject are analysed by using keywords in Google academic database. As a result, it is found that some practices negatively affect both the mother’s and child’s health. So, awareness on this subject should be raised, unhealthy practices and beliefs should be discussed and changed, and beneficial ones should be supported.Keywords: Traditional practices, intercultural nursing, traditional beliefs, pregnancy, culture.

Happiness levels of the nurses working at a University Hospital 在大学医院工作的护士的幸福水平

This study was planned to determine the happiness level of nurses. The population of this descriptive study was done with 121 nurses who accepted to participate in the study out of 323 nurses who worked at a research and training hospital. The average happiness score of the nurses is 108.63 ± 19.48. However, the mean scores of happiness scale of nurses who had an average working time of 120–180 hours per month and who were satisfied with nursing and working in the institution were higher (p < 0.005) and these findings were statistically significant. In conclusion, nurses’ happiness level was found to be higher than the average level (moderate level). But, it was identified that nurses who did not exceed weekly working hours were happier and nursing not being satisfied with working in the institutional negatively affects the level of happiness.Keywords: Hospital, nurse, happiness.

The factors affecting the resilience levels of the nurses working in a public hospital 影响公立医院护士心理弹性水平的因素

This study was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the factors affecting the psychological endurance levels of the nurses. A questionnaire consisting of 21 questions and the Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA) were used for data collection in this study. It is a five-point Likert scale, consisting of 33 items. Percentage calculation, Kruskal–Wallis test and Mann–Whitney U test were used for the assessment of the data. The average score of the nurses in the RSA was determined to be 123.3 ± 21.3. A statistically significant relationship has been found between some of the sociodemographic characteristics of the nurses and their score in the RSA (p < 0.05). As per the results, it has been determined that the nurses who are married, have kids, have bachelor’s degree or higher, love their jobs, satisfied with the department they work at and chose their departments of their own volition, have high levels of resilience.Keywords: Endurance, nurse, resilience

The effect of emphatic tendency levels of nurses on their conflict resolution skills 护士强调倾向水平对其冲突解决能力的影响

The aim is to determine the effect of nurses’ emphatic tendency levels on their conflict resolution skills. The research was carried out with the participation of 228 nurses. The data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 25 questions, Emphatic Tendency Scale and Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory-II. Percentage calculation, one-way analysis of variance, Kruskal–Wallis test and Mann–Whitney U test are used for evaluating the data. A statistical relationship has been found between some of the sociodemographic and occupational characteristics of the nurses and their average score in quality of working life scale and Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory (p < 0.05). In this study, a positive, moderate relationship has been found between Emphatic Tendency Scale and Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory, dimension of Integration (p < 0.001). It is determined that Emphatic Tendency Scale score has a direct proportion to Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory-II, dimension of Integration.Keywords: Nurse, quality of working life, professional attitudes in nursing.

Tools for assessing parenting in the prenatal and postpartum period in Turkey 评估土耳其产前和产后育儿的工具

Scales describe the scientific quality and reliability of research. Some scales are used to evaluate the relation of parents with a newborn during pregnancy and the postpartum period. This study was carried out to examine the scales adapted to Turkish that assessed parenthood status during pregnancy or the postpartum period. This study is conducted between 20 March 2018 and 30 March 2018 through Turkey Measuring Tools Directory, YOK Thesis Search, and Google Scholar using keywords such as ‘being a parent’, ‘parenting pregnancy’ and so on. Maternal Attachment Inventory, Prenatal Attachment Inventory, Postnatal Paternal–Infant Attachment Questionnaire, Mother to Infant Bonding Scale, What Being the Parent of a New Baby is Like and so on were adapted to Turkish and it has been determined that the majority are valid and reliable. The scales evaluate, especially the new parent, love, stress, fear, feelings and behaviours.Keywords: Being a parent, prenatal period, postpartum period, parenting scale.
