General Adaptive Schemes for Resistance and Speed Estimation in Induction Motor Drives 感应电机驱动中电阻和速度估计的一般自适应方案

This paper presents two new adaptive estimation schemes in induction motor drives. The first adaptive scheme is to simultaneously estimate on-line stator and rotor resistance of induction motor with speed-sensor. The second adaptive scheme is to simultaneously estimate stator resistance and rotor speed in sensorless induction motor drives. These two methods are based on adaptive control theory of model reference adaptive system (MRAS) approach with Luenberger observer in a similar way. And the stabilities of the observers with both adaptive estimation schemes in vector control of induction motors are proved by the Lyapunov's theorem. Furthermore, the methods have been compared with the classical adaptive schemes based on the integration algorithms. And in fact, the proposed methods are generalization of the integration adaptive algorithms. Finally the feasibility of the schemes are verified by simulation

D-Q-0 Synchronous Frame Average Model for Three-Phase Arrays Of Single-Phase PFC Converter Loads 单相PFC变换器负载三相阵列的D-Q-0同步帧平均模型

The small-signal modeling of single-phase power factor correction (PFC) converters is limited by the fact that it must deal with time varying AC variables; thus becoming a hindrance for controls design and dynamic interaction analysis. This paper proposes a modeling approach for the analysis of multiple single-phase PFC converters, achieved by aggregating them into a single equivalent three-phase load. This equivalent model may then be readily converted into the d-q-0 synchronous frame where formerly time-varying state variables become DC quantities in steady state. From the resultant average model small-signal analysis may then be easily performed by either analytic or numerical methods. This paper presents the complete derivation of the proposed d-q-0 average model for multiple single-phase PFC converters, using time-domain simulations for verification, exploring as well its small-signal analysis capability by studying the converters input impedance on all three d-q-0 channels. From these results the excellent performance and great usefulness of the model is verified

Envelope Following Analysis of an Autonomous Power Electronic System 自主电力电子系统的包络跟踪分析

Envelope following (EF) method is an approximate transient simulation technique which considers switching dynamics. It skips analysis of several switching cycles and considers the cycles by using, for example, the backward Euler or the trapezoidal type algorithms. It is more accurate than the averaging method because it considers switching ripples and it is still efficient. However it has been proposed only for a non-autonomous system. This paper proposes a new extended envelope following method which can also analyze an autonomous system which is typical in the power electronics field. It is extended by introducing a switching condition concept to the original form and the EF and switching conditions are solved simultaneously. In the numerical process, a Jacobian matrix is evaluated where switch timing sensitivities are considered. A hysteresis controlled buck and a cuk converter examples are shown

We have investigated the voltage regulation and speed control of an induction machine with multiple stator windings using a digital signal processor (DSP). Multiple functionalities are integrated in one machine: mechanical drive, as well as electrical power generation and conversion. One stator is driven with a three-phase inverter while the voltages on the other stators are rectified to provide a DC output. By using zero sequence harmonics in wye-grounded windings, the control for DC output voltage regulation can be made orthogonal to that for speed. In this paper, we study some of the challenges and solutions to speed control in tandem with closed-loop voltage regulation in this type of machine

In this paper, we present a novel integrable 80 V silicon lateral trench power MOSFET together with its circuit simulation model. The lateral trench power MOSFET exhibits a low figure of merit (Ron times Qg) proving very attractive for high frequency switching applications. The lateral trench power MOSFET was initially simulated using the 2-D device simulator MEDICI, and an analytical model was developed and implemented in MAST HDL for use in circuit simulators such as SABER. Circuit simulations were performed using the model developed and high frequency switching performance of the proposed device is compared against a commercial device

Virtual Prototyping and Automatic Code Generation for DSP-based Digital Control of Power Electronics Equipment 基于dsp的电力电子设备数字控制的虚拟样机与自动代码生成

With the high level programming language introduced into DSP field, the design of digital controller for power electronics equipment is now becoming easier than ever. Nevertheless the process of coding is always error prone. We present here a new method to extend virtual best bed environment to DSP platform and allow a rapid migration of a new controller design to a DSP by providing an automatic code generation program for DSP platform. This method improves the real time performance of VTB and is finally validated on a boost converter using synergetic control law. Result of simulation on VTB environment and hardware validation are given

Self-Programmable PID Compensator for Digitally Controlled SMPS 数字控制SMPS自编程PID补偿器

This paper shows an auto-tuning system for digitally controlled switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) that automatically adjusts parameters of PID compensator based on pre-specified bandwidth requirements. The PID compensator parameters are determined from intentionally introduced limit cycle oscillations (LCOs) through two consecutive auto-tuning procedures. First, the placement of poles and zeros is defined from LCOs at the corner frequency of the power stage. Then, the gain of the PID compensator is found from the oscillations occurring at the desired crossover frequency of the system. The proposed auto-tuning procedure is verified through Matlab/Simulink simulations that show fast load transient response and short settling time

An Assessment of Coupled Inductor Modeling for a Multi-output Flyback Converter 多输出反激变换器耦合电感模型的评估

In this paper, simulation results for a five-winding coupled inductor in a multi-output flyback converter are compared with experimental results. The simulations were usually aborted due to numerical convergence problems. This has been overcome by rearranging the elements of the equivalent circuit of the coupled inductor so as to place every inductance in series with a resistance. Discrepancies between the simulation and experiment have been categorized as follows: (i) coupling factors significantly influence the shapes of the secondary current waveforms and steepness of the slope after a switch transition; (ii) the representations of winding and core losses affect only the losses and not the shapes of the waveforms; (iii) the magnetizing inductance determines whether the converter operates in the continuous or discontinuous current mode

A Reconfiguration Technique for Multilevel Inverters Incorporating Diagnostic System Based on Neural Network 基于神经网络诊断系统的多电平逆变器重构技术

A reconfiguration technique for multilevel inverters incorporating a diagnostic system based on neural network is proposed in this paper. It is difficult to diagnose a multilevel-inverter drive (MLID) system using a mathematical model because MLID systems consist of many switching devices and their system complexity has a nonlinear factor. Therefore, a neural network (NN) classification is applied to the fault diagnosis of a MLID system. Multilayer perceptron networks are used to identify the type and location of occurring faults. The principal component analysis (PCA) is utilized in the feature extraction process to reduce the NN input size. A lower dimensional input space will also usually reduce the time necessary to train a NN, and the reduced noise may improve the mapping performance. The output phase voltage of a MLID can be used to diagnose the faults and their locations. The reconfiguration technique is also proposed. The effects of using the proposed reconfiguration technique at high modulation index are addressed. The proposed system is validated with experimental results. The experimental results show that the proposed system performs satisfactorily to detect the fault type, fault location, and reconfiguration

Mathematical Model and Control Design for Sensorless Vector Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines 永磁同步电机无传感器矢量控制的数学模型与控制设计

This paper presents a mathematical model and control design for the sensorless vector control of permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM). A detailed motor drive including three-phase PWM voltage-source inverter and PMSM and control system models are presented, providing insight into the frequency response based design of all associated loops, namely back-EMF state observer, rotor speed and position estimator, d-q axes current regulator, and speed controller. The complete design procedure is provided, together with simulation and experimental results with a 3.5 kW PMSM drive, all of which verify the excellent results attained by the proposed model and control design methodology
