An Object Detection Method Using Invariant Feature Based on Local Hue Histogram in Divided Areas of an Object 基于局部色相直方图的目标分割区域不变性特征检测方法

In recent years, the decreasing birthrate and aging population are developing, and there is concern about the lack of labor power such as household chores and nursing care at home. Therefore, application of robot technology to the living field is expected. In the living field, Robots that support the lives of people are collectively referred to as life support robots. This robot is required to perform various tasks to support humans. Especially, the object detection task is important when people request the robot to transport and rearrange objects. However, when detecting an object from the camera mounted on the robot, detection becomes difficult because the detection environment is unspecified. Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) and Color Indexing are widely known as object detection methods using two-dimensional information. However, these methods do not have robustness against all environmental changes. In this research, we focus on the invariant feature of the hue histogram in divided areas of an object and propose a highly accurate object detection method.

DATA CENTER ARCHITECTURES: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES 数据中心架构:挑战与机遇

Recently, data centers became a main part in information and communication technology. Data centers are facing many challenges because of the rapid and continuous growth of applications’ size and complexity. In this paper, we present an overview of data center architectures challenges and their proposed solutions related to networking equipment, information technology equipment, power conservation equipment as well as cooling systems. We also mentioned how software defined network, a promising technology, can enhance the performance of data centers, and what challenges are faced while applying such technology to existing data centers.

MONITORING SYSTEM FOR RESIDENTIAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION 住宅能耗监测系统

The aim of the present paper is the management of the energy-consumption of a residential building, where the addressed case is to figure out the trends of reducing energy consumption through many aspects like intelligent decisions making which is mainly based on good informed management. A leaky bucket problem is an analogous case to the proposed vision of the energy consumption, where it is essential to know the whole image of the leaky bucket contains some leaking openings and their corresponding locations and sizes before starting to close the leaks. Consequently, it is a mandatory phase to learn the energy-consumption system of a building before implementing any decision to modify or to improve the energy system under consideration. Concisely, the main objective of the proposal is to process to control the operation the consumption of energy for a residential system by considering real-time basis. Therefore by providing an information about electricity based on real-time at different levels for the utilization and consumption is the main goal of such control. To have a visual and right image of energy consumption that is undergoes in a building, a monitoring operation can give an excellent feedback. A framework to control the energy consumption as well as the smart management is adopted to achieve this goal.

AUTONOMIC SERVICE MANAGEMENT IN MOBILE CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURES 移动云基础设施中的自主服务管理

With the introduction and advancement of mobile cloud computing, endless opportunities for the provision of mobile phone services have ensued. Mobile cloud computing technology has brought about a breakthrough in information management by enabling the use of central servers which act as hosts, to deliver the required services, providing flexibility and reliability to mobile users. Due to the dynamic nature of mobile devices, and various constraints such as limited bandwidth however, the use of a traditional central server for these devices continues to prove problematic, with a number of issues including congestion and server failure occurring time and time again, while the demand for mobile cloud services continue to rise. This research project seeks to address these problems by presenting an alternate approach for service management in mobile cloud infrastructures. This research presents a decentralised model that takes inspiration from the flocking behaviour of birds since birds are known to interact locally to produce a global behaviour without a central point of authority. Three variations of the proposed model were developed to support how mobile devices interact for service provision. As an exemplar case study, a simulation of mobile users participating in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics where multimedia contents are provided and consumed as services was performed. Additionally, experiments were conducted to evaluate the three variations of the models based on their performance on the set out aim. The results from the experiments indicate that the proposed mechanism was quite practicable since the mobile devices are able to select and provide services in a decentralised manner. The research has shown that mobile devices can be configured to provide their services in a decentralised manner while considering social issues.

SERVICE COMPOSITION MECHANISMS IN THE MULTI-CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS: A SURVEY 多云环境中的服务组合机制:调查

Cloud computing is a serious technological creation in the area of information systems development that supplies the benefits of self-service applications, source mixing, and wide network access. Nowadays, cloud computing to support fastness, easy combination, and low-cost of distributed applications in dissimilar environments have become increasingly famous. Therefore, service combination is a growing method that proliferates the number of applications of cloud computing by reusing attractive services. In this article, we survey the service composition mechanisms such as all clouds, base cloud, smart cloud, COM2 and clustering algorithms which have been used in the cloud environments. Service composition methods can be applied in two main environments: single and multicloud where due to the importance of multi-cloud environments (MCE), some existing and important methods are analyzed in the multi-cloud environment in this article. This paper also provides a discussion of existing methods in terms of running time and finding the optimal cloud composition. Obtained results showed the performance of each method in some terms.

Further Development of Boost Chopper for Power Conditioners - Pursuit of ideal PCS for photovoltaic power generations - 电力调压器升压斩波器的进一步发展-追求光伏发电的理想PCS -

Under an environment of praise for renewable energy, photovoltaic power generations (PVG) have been applied generally and spread broadly. Various power conditioning systems (PCS) used in those have been also studied by many researchers. In addition to usual utilization, such PVG is often considered for the time of disaster. Usually such PVG systems having limited power are almost installed in limited area such as on top of the roof of the building. Some medical institutions have fairly desire to install such PVG since they must avoid the medical service interruption. The generating power in such case is fairly limited, so the system construction should balance the reduced power. Thus, it is necessary to improve the construction toward simple one. In usual PCS, power is converted by two stages, that is boost converter and normal inverter. In first stage, the dc power is adjusted to appropriate voltage level. The conversion methods are considered in many strategies. In this paper, in order to pursue an ideal one, simple and concise power converter, especially novel boost chopper is proposed. Considering fair reduced power and narrow space of installation, the system constructions should be compact. The circuit that gratifies their operating characteristic is presented and analytically discussed about circuit construction as a novel boost converter. The circuit operation is confirmed by using the circuit software and a few experiments.

A CRITICAL-PATH AND TOP-LEVEL ATTRIBUTES BASED TASK SCHEDULING ALGORITHM FOR DAG (CPTL) 基于关键路径和顶层属性的dag (cptl)任务调度算法

Parallel computing is an important area of research. It is used from scientific to commercial applications. Task scheduling is one of the important research areas of parallel computing. The major objective of any task scheduling algorithm is to minimize the execution time i.e. to reduce the scheduling length. Here, an application program is represented by a directed acyclic graph (DAG). In this paper, we have proposed an efficient CPTL scheduling algorithm which is based on two well-known attributes: Critical Path (CP), and Top-level (T-level). This algorithm is calculated the difference between CP and t-level, which is called CPT attribute. This attribute used as a priority of the tasks, and allocated these tasks on multiprocessor system. The proposed algorithm outperforms over the existing heuristic algorithms such as HLEFT, MCP, ETF, and DLS. CPTL algorithm gives minimum scheduling length. The comparison has been done based on following metrics: scheduling length, speedup, efficiency, load balancing, and normalized scheduling length.

This algorithm is calculated the difference between CP and t-level, which is called CPT attribute. This attribute used as a priority of the tasks, and allocated these tasks on multiprocessor system. The proposed algorithm outperforms over the existing heuristic algorithms such as HLEFT, MCP, ETF, and DLS. CPTL algorithm gives minimum scheduling length. Circuit Analyses and Considerations on Advanced Inverters Constructed by Minimum Circuit Components - Pursuit for concise PCS of photovoltaicic power generations 采用最小电路元件构建先进逆变器的电路分析与思考——对光伏发电简洁PCS的追求

Photovoltaic power generations (PVG) have been used generally and applied widely. Various power conditioning systems-PCS used in PVG have been also working on by many researchers. In addition to usual utilization, such PVGs are often applied for the time of disaster. In such a way, the solar panels having limited power are almost installed in limited area such as on top of the roof of the building. Some medical institutions have fairly desire to keep such PVG since they must keep the lives of people. The generating power in such case is fair limited, so the system construction should balance the reduced power. In such reasons, it is important to construct toward simple one. In this paper, in order to give the reply, simple and concise PCS, especially novel inverter is considered. Considering fair reduced power and narrow space of installation, the system constructions should be much compact. The circuit strategy which gratifies their operating characteristic is presented and analytically discussed about circuit construction as advanced converter. The circuit operation is confirmed by using the circuit software constructed by PSpice.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT OF WIND/PV AND BATTERY HYBRID SYSTEM 风能/光伏和电池混合系统的能源管理

This paper deals with power control of a wind and solar hybrid generation system for interconnection operation with electric distribution system. Power control strategy is to extract the maximum energy available from varying condition of wind speed and solar irradiance while maintaining power quality at a satisfactory level. In order to capture the maximum power, variable speed control is employed for wind turbine and maximum power point tracking is applied for photovoltaic system. The grid interface inverter transfers the energy drawn from the wind turbine and PV array into the grid by keeping common dc voltage constant. To ensure safety these inverters automatically shut down in the event of : High/Low grid AC-voltage; High/Low grid frequency; Grid Failure; or Inverter malfunction. Modeling and simulation study on the entire control scheme is carried out using a power system transient analysis tool, Matlab Simulink. The simulation results show the control performance and dynamic behavior of the wind/PV system.
