SLA-BASED RESOURCE ALLOCATION WITHIN CLOUD NETWORKING ENVIRONMENT 云网络环境下基于sla的资源分配

Today, cloud networking which is the ability to connect users with their cloud services and to interconnect these services in an inter-cloud approach, is one of the recent research areas within the cloud computing research communities. The main drawback of cloud networking consists in the lack of Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee and management in conformance with a corresponding Service Level Agreement. In this paper, a framework is proposed for resource allocation according to an end-to-end service level agreement established between a Cloud Service User and several Cloud Service Providers within a cloud networking environment. The paper focuses on QoS parameters for NaaS and IaaS services. In addition, several algorithms are proposed for the best Cloud Service Providers selection to allocate VMs and network resources within a Broker and a Federation based inter-cloud scenarios. The objective is to minimize the total cost while satisfying NaaS and IaaS QoS constraints. Moreover, the proposed cloud networking architecture is used to provide videoconferencing and intensive computing applications with QoS guarantee. The corresponding scenarios are simulated using an extended CloudSim toolkit. The results reveal a high scalability and good performances where the Broker architecture is the most interesting while ensuring QoS requirements.

TESTING A REAL TIME MONITORING SYSTEM FOR PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORKS USING AN ARRAY OF FIBER BRAGG GRATINGS 测试一个使用光纤布拉格光栅阵列的无源光网络实时监控系统

In this paper, we propose and design a passive optical network using an array of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) for centralized monitoring of the branched optical networks. Further, we exploit the linear properties, namely, reflection and transmission spectra of FBGs for identifying the fiber fault. Besides, we also verify the quality of the downstream signals (1490 nm and 1550 nm) through the well-known eye-diagrams through the spectrum analyzer. We find that the quality of downstream signals remains same even in the presence of monitoring signal and the passive element FBG. Thus, these numerical results corroborate that the monitoring signal and passive element (FBG) do not affect the quality of the downstream signals. Thus, we envisage that the results presented in this paper would turn to be an asset in the area of passive optical network (PON).

As people age and engage with life, a lot of people drop the commitments in things which become as a routine that they go on with There are many patients forget to take their treatment on time, while some of them take the treatment but in irregular schedules, which reduces the effectiveness of the treatment. The method of reminding patients their schedules by the nurse for the elderly and sitter kids is not considered successful solution in some cases. Because it relies on another person, who may probably omits or forgets the exact time. With the proliferation of smartphones, it requires a technology solution to help patients in determining medication schedules properly and make them more controlling on taking their medication. This paper proposed an application running on the IPhone connecting with smart drawers through Arduino Board. The main purpose of this application is to organize and remind patients to take their medicines in an accurate time. Drawers can be opened and closed through the application.

Forecasting of Traffic Load for 3G Networks Using Conventional Technique 基于常规技术的3G网络流量负荷预测

The degrading performance of network coverage, resource allocation, and utilization is due to the rapidly increasing number of cellular subscribers, which is immensely difficult to predict the traffic load in Nigeria. The available developed algorithms and models did not well consider the behavior of the traffic load using the adopted input variables of this research. This paper arguably constructs an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as Conventional technique to forecast the instantaneous traffic load per cell or eNodeB of 3G networks in Kano Metropolis. Four Active 3G networks data was extracted and recorded with the aid of W995 TEMS Pocket Phone over thirty five cells. The forecasted models when tested apparently tracked the measured traffic load with RMSE of 0.148365%, 0.21878%, 0.3327% and 1.32220%, thus achieved MAPE of 0.00394%, 0.00696%, 0.00109% and 0.03978% for A, B, C and D networks respectively. These validated that the Conventional technique can be a valuable tool in forecasting traffic load in Nigeria and could also be adopted in forecasting of large-scale metropolis cellular networks.

TESTING AND DEBUGGING RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR FAULT DETECTION AND REMOVAL PROCESS 测试和调试用于故障检测和排除过程的资源分配

In software development life cycle (SDLC) testing is very important step. One of the key elements of software quality is testing. Fault detection and removal process is also very important when we are doing testing. In the last 30 years numerous software reliability growth models where developed for fault detection and correction process. Majority of models where developed under static condition. The main goal of this article is to examine the resource allocation plan for fault detection and correction process of the software to control the cost during testing and operational phase. For achieving this we developed a model for fault detection and correction process. For solving this model we use Pontryagain’s Maximum principle. For optimally resource allocation we use Differential Evolution (DE). Differential Evolution (DE) is an optimization algorithm. A numerical example is also explained for resource allocation for fault detection and removal process.

Mobile Robot Localization Based on Multi-Sensor Model for Assistance to Displacement of People with Reduce Mobility 基于多传感器模型的移动机器人定位帮助行动不便者

This paper deals multi-sensor data fusion problem for mobile robot localization. In this context, we have used data fusion sensors: encoders and ultrasonic sensor. To improve the robustness of localization and to reduce the estimation error we have proposed a Kalman Particle Kernel Filter (KPKF) approach, which is based on a hybrid Bayesian filter, combining both extended Kalman and particle filters. The KPKF filter using a Gaussian mixture in which each component has a small covariance matrix. The Kalman correction updates the weights in order to bring particles back into the most probable space area. This method can be applied for non-linear and multimodal environment and can improve localization performances and reduced estimation error. The proposed approach is implemented on a LIASD-Wheelchair experimental platform. Keywords—Localization; multi-sensor; data fusion; mobile robotics; Kalman filter; particle filter; smart wheelchair.

Higher educational institutions such as universities provide campus data and information to stakeholders such as students, faculty staff, administrators, media, and community members. They also analyze such data and information for decision making, planning and continuous improvement. They obtain necessary capabilities for collecting, providing and analyzing data and information by acquiring products and services from suppliers or by developing products and services by themselves. As in today’s social infrastructure, software plays an important role and software seems to keep growing in its scope, size and complexity in infrastructure of educational institutions. However, many organizations have not invested in the capabilities necessary to effectively manage life-cycle process for such software products and services. We argue that software engineering techniques, such as process improvement framework and software product line engineering are important in developing requirements and systems effective in continuous improvement. In this paper, we discuss a trial case to improve the energy management system in our campus, as an emerging area of institutional continuous improvement, by using software engineering techniques under the goal of increasing the awareness and involvement of members for smart energy management.

We argue that software engineering techniques, such as process improvement framework and software product line engineering are important in developing requirements and systems effective in continuous improvement. A New Approach for Solving Equations Systems Inspired from Brainstorming 由头脑风暴启发的求解方程组的新方法

This paper proposes a metaheuristic inspired from human brainstorming combined with concepts from graph theory for solving system of equations. The proposed method is able to find solutions of a given system of equations, even in cases where traditional methods fail. In the cases where no exact solution exists, an approximate solution is good and it can be obtained by the proposed method. Directions for future research are also provided.
本文提出了一种受人类头脑风暴启发并结合图论概念求解方程组的元启发式算法。提出的方法能够找到给定方程组的解,即使在传统方法失败的情况下。在不存在精确解的情况下,用所提出的方法可以得到一个近似解。展望了今后的研究方向。
