On-axis excitation of two-dimensional gap solitons and gap soliton trains 二维间隙孤子和间隙孤子列的轴向激励

We demonstrate two-dimensional gap solitons/soliton-trains by single-beam on-axis excitation in a self-defocusing ?backbone? photonic lattice. Interferograms and k-space spectra indicate staggered structure of the gap solitons arising from M-symmetry points of the first Bloch band.

The dipole mode in point defect photonic crystal shows the characteristics of nondegenerate by deforming lattice structure. Lasing action with single mode, y-mode, is obtained in the elongated point defect cavity in our experiment.

A triphoton EPR-GHZ state, entangled in energy and momentum, is generated by using a hexagonally poled photonic crystal. The measured third order correlation function G3 (t1, t2, t3) has clear shown the entangled nature of the three-photon system.

Scanning photocurrent measurements are demonstrated in individual carbon nanotube field effect transistors. Photocurrent images in conjunction with the electrical conductance measurement elucidate the properties of metal-CNT interfaces, especially the electron band alignment at the contact.

Observation of fast and slow light in a microsphere-optical fiber system 微球光纤系统中快慢光的观测

We observed both ?8ns negative and 21ns positive delays in the optical pulse propagation through a microsphere-fiber system on the under and over coupling conditions, respectively, which are explained by a directional coupling theory.

We report the first experimental demonstration of one-way Gaussian-modulated coherent state quantum key distribution system over kilometers of standard telecom fiber. Under realistic assumptions, the achievable secrete key rate is over 10kb/s.

Multi-photon absorption pumped ultraviolet ZnO nanolasers were demonstrated with femtosecond pulses at room temperature. Time resolved photoluminescence revealed that the exciton collision effect played an important role in the nonlinear lasing mechanisms.

We experimentally demonstrate a simple scheme for generating a four-photon cluster state. We show that the produced state has genuine four-qubit entanglement which is discriminated from a class including GHZ and W types of entanglement.
