Adaptive synchronization of fractional-order memristor-based Chua's system 基于分数阶记忆电阻器的蔡氏系统自适应同步

Adaptive synchronization of fractional-order memristor-based Chua's circuit is discussed in this paper. Two adaptive synchronization schemes are presented for the fractional-order memristor-based Chua's circuit based on the stability theory of fractional-order differential system, the drive–response concept and the adaptive control principle. Also the case of only one parameter known and the case of all the other parameters fully unknown are discussed. The results show that controller parameters can be adjusted to enhance the convergence rate of the error system. Finally, numerical simulations are drawn to demonstrate these results.

A real-time nonlinear decentralized control of multimachine power systems 多机电力系统的实时非线性分散控制

This paper proposes the application of a new nonlinear decentralized control to the multi-input multi-output model of multimachine power systems. The goal is to control the terminal voltage as well as the rotor angle to obtain high-performance transient stability and good post-fault voltage regulation. The proposed stabilizing feedback laws for the power system are shown to be globally asymptotically stable in the context of Lyapunov theory. The effectiveness of the proposed control action is demonstrated through some computer simulations on a two-area benchmark power system under a large sudden fault and a wide range of operating conditions. The results are compared with those of the traditional automatic voltage regulator (IEEE type I AVR) plus the power system stabilizer control structure and speed governor.

A novel approach in the finite-time controller design 有限时间控制器设计中的一种新方法

This paper deals with the finite-time stabilization of a class of nonlinear systems. Based on the backstepping technique, a new recursive procedure is proposed which entwines the choice of the Lyapunov function with the design of the feedback control laws. The main efficiency of the proposed technique is due to adding a dummy state variable to the state vector. The dynamic equation of this state variable has a special structure which makes the design procedure of the finite-time controller more feasible. The designed controller guarantees the stabilization of the closed-loop system in a finite time. Computer simulations reveal the efficiency of the proposed technique and also verify the theoretical results.

A model predictive control framework for centralised management of a supply chain dynamical system 供应链动态系统集中管理的模型预测控制框架

In this paper, a centralised model predictive control (MPC) strategy is applied to control inventories in a four-echelon supply chain. The single MPC controller used in this strategy optimises globally and finds an optimal ordering policy for each node. The controller relies on a linear discrete-time state-space model to predict system outputs and the prediction can be approached by either of the two multi-step predictors depending on the measurability of the controller states. The objective function has a quadratic form and thus the resulting optimisation problem can be solved via standard quadratic programming. Simulation results show that a centralised MPC strategy is preferred because it can track customer demand and, in the meantime, maintain a proper inventory position level with reduced bullwhip effect.

Stability analysis for a class of switched nonlinear time-delay systems 一类切换非线性时滞系统的稳定性分析

This paper investigates the stability analysis for a class of discrete-time switched nonlinear time-delay systems. These systems are modelled by a set of delay difference equations, which are represented in the state form. Then, another transformation is made towards an arrow form. Therefore, by applying the Kotelyanski conditions combined to the M−matrix properties, new delay-independent sufficient stability conditions under arbitrary switching which correspond to a Lyapunov function vector are established. The obtained results are explicit and easy to use. A numerical example is provided to show the effectiveness of the developed results.

A survey of event-based strategies on control and estimation 基于事件的控制与估计策略综述

The event-based strategies have recently received considerable research attention due primarily to their irreplaceable superiority in resource-constrained systems. Compared with the widely adopted time-driven schemes, such novel event-based schemes have advantages of improving the efficiency in resource utilization in many real applications. Event-based strategies represent an effective way of generating sporadic executions, where an execution is generated only when a specific event (e.g. a certain signal exceeds a prescribed threshold) arises. In this survey, we aim to summarize the results available in the literature on event-based strategies so as to promote the related research in this realm. The progress of the event-based design and analysis strategies is systematically reviewed in both control and estimation domains. Specifically, the event-based control strategies have been discussed for networked control systems, multi-agent systems and other systems, and the event-based estimation schemes have been highlighted according to the send-on-delta and send-on-area concepts. Some potential future research directions are finally pointed out for event-based strategies.

Numerical analysis and circuit realization of the modified LÜ chaotic system 改进LÜ混沌系统的数值分析与电路实现

A novel three-dimensional autonomous chaotic system from the LÜ chaotic system is given. By using the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, we provide an insight into the dynamic properties and characterizations of this system, such as Hopf bifurcation. In particular, we are interested in focusing on the dependence of varying parameters on chaos with the help of some chaos indicators including the fast Lyapunov indicator, small alignment indexes and Lyapunov exponent. It is shown that growing the parameter c leads to the extent of chaos. Finally, a chaotic electronic circuit is designed for the realization of the chaotic attractor with aim of Multisim software, and it gives almost the same rules of types of orbits as numerical ones by an alternating value of a circuital resistor.

Optimized robust cruise control system for an electric vehicle 优化的电动汽车鲁棒巡航控制系统

Besides environmental advantages and fuel efficiency, electric motors are a suitable choice for powertrain of vehicles due to appropriate similarity between their torque–speed characteristics and the required vehicle torque for longitudinal performance. An applicable robust control system for the cruise controller of a DC motor-driven electric vehicle is proposed. The robust controller is tuned using a numerical optimization design method to compensate the disturbances from the road grade and changes in the vehicle weight. In this study, the vehicle's powertrain model is developed and details of the controller design process are described. The robustness and performance of the designed controller is evaluated by performing computer simulations. The results demonstrate adequate robustness and disturbance rejection of the designed control system.

In this paper, we have considered a dynamical model of hand–foot–mouth disease (HFMD) with varying total population size, saturation incidence rate and discrete time delay to become infectious. It is assumed that there is a time lag (τ) to account for the fact that an individual infected with virus is not infectious until after some time after exposure. The probability that an individual remains in the latency period (exposed class) at least t time units before becoming infectious is given by a step function with value 1 for 0≤tτ. The probability that an individual in the latency period has survived is given by e−μ τ, where μ denotes the natural mortality rate in all epidemiological classes. It is reported that the first vaccine to protect children against enterovirus 71, or EV71 has been discovered [Zhu, F. C., Meng, F. Y., Li, J. X., Li, X. L., Mao, A. Y., Tao, H., …, Shen, X. L. Pulse vaccination is an effective and important strategy for the elimination of infectious diseases and so we have analyzed this model with pulse vaccination. We have defined two positive numbers R1 and R2. It is proved that there exists an infection-free periodic solution which is globally attractive if R1<1 and the disease is permanent if R2>1. The important mathematical findings for the dynamical behavior of the HFMD model are also numerically verified using MATLAB. Finally epidemiological implications of our analytical findings are addressed critically.

Nonsingular terminal sliding-mode control of a tractor–trailer system 牵引车-挂车系统的非奇异末端滑模控制

This is the first paper considering finite-time stabilization approach to design a control law for a tractor–trailer system. This robot is a nonholonomic system which cannot be stabilized with continuous control laws. The main contributions of this paper are, first, the transformation of the equations of the system to the bilinear chained form, which simplifies the design of finite-time stabilizing control laws, and then, designing a nonsingular finite-time controller based on the terminal sliding-mode technique. This technique needs some recursive sliding surfaces, which should be mathematically derived, for each application. Efficiency of the designed control law in finite-time stabilization of the tractor–trailer system is shown through computer simulations.
