Intelligent control of a DC motor using a self-constructing wavelet neural network 基于自构造小波神经网络的直流电机智能控制

This paper proposes an intelligent method to control the speed of a DC motor. This controller is a self-constructing wavelet neural network (SCWNN) in which the self-constructing and training algorithms are simultaneously performed. At first, there are no wavelets in the wavelet layer; they are automatically generated in the online control process. In order to increase the convergence speed of the proposed controller, adaptive learning rates (ALRs) updated at each sampling time are used. In the online control process, no identifier is used to approximate the dynamic of the controlled plant, because of the learning ability of the proposed controller. Several simulations are used to demonstrate the effectiveness and adaptiveness of SCWNN.

A fiber Bragg grating quasi-distributed sensing network with a wavelength-tunable chaotic fiber laser 波长可调混沌光纤激光器光纤布拉格光栅准分布式传感网络

We propose a novel quasi-distributed sensing system using a wavelength-tunable chaotic fiber laser as well as identical weak fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). FBG location is determined by measuring the time delay between the reference and the reflected chaotic light. The Bragg wavelength variety of a certain FBG, owing to the influence of external parameters, is scanned by a tunable chaotic fiber laser. The quasi-distributed sensing network is theoretically analyzed. Simulation results reveal hundreds of multiplexing capabilities and a spatial resolution of up to 1.3 cm.

Steady-state modeling and analysis of six-phase synchronous motor 六相同步电动机稳态建模与分析

Steady-state analysis is needed for a better understanding of the operational behavior of a six-phase synchronous motor. Therefore, this paper primarily addresses the steady-state analysis of an asymmetrical six-phase synchronous motor, including the development of a mathematical model employing Park's (dq0) transformation, valid for different terminal conditions. These conditions include the motor operation with input supply at both sets of the three-phase stator winding as well as at only one set of the three-phase stator winding (motor-generator mode). A unified and simplified mathematical treatment along with its experimental results is presented.

In this work, the fed-batch fermentation of glycerol by Klebsiella pneumoniae with pH logic control is discussed. We propose a hybrid system constrained optimal control problem with glycerol feeding instants as control variables to maximize the concentration of the objective product at the terminal time. Correspondingly, we explore an automatic control system to implement the optimal control strategy, in which the designs of control diagram, PLC control and supervisory computer control system are involved. This work achieves a goal of applying numerical optimal control analysis to the design of control system in glycerol fed-batch fermentation.

Chaotic analysis of the human brain cortical model and robust control of epileptic seizures using sliding mode control 人脑皮质模型的混沌分析及滑模控制对癫痫发作的鲁棒控制

In this paper, chaotic analysis of the human brain cortical model is presented. Based on these analysis, controlling of epileptic seizures, using a robust control method is considered. To this end we have utilized the mathematical model of cortical tissue activity. Chaotic behavior of this model is investigated through variations of pathological parameters. Utilization of two chaotic criteria known as entropy and largest Lyapunov exponents allowed us to monitor the chaotic behavior of the model during the reasearch. Moreover, both conniption and ending time of seizures are determined using chaotic analysis. The sliding mode method is used to design a robust controller with the purpose of controlling the seizures. The effectivness of the proposed method is shown via analysis and simulation results. Previous approches on controlling seazires did not considered robustness against the uncertainties. This problem is addressd here through designing a controller which is robust against system uncertainties. In addition to the guaranted finite time control of the seizures, consideration of the practical medical limitations for the control signal is another advantage of the proposed method.

Dynamics of a stage-structured system with harvesting and discrete time delays 具有收获和离散时滞的阶段结构系统动力学

A two-dimensional single-species stage-structured model is proposed and analyzed to study the effect of intraguild predation with harvesting of the adult species. Time lags in reproduction and maturation of the organism are introduced in the system and conditions for local asymptotic stability of steady states are derived. The length of the delay preserving the stability is also estimated. It is found that there are stability switches for time delays, and Hopf bifurcations when time delays cross through some critical values. The stability and direction of the Hopf bifurcations are determined by applying the normal form method and the center manifold theory. Computer simulations have been carried out to illustrate various analytical results.

Adaptive fuzzy terminal sliding-mode control of MEMS z-axis gyroscope with extended Kalman filter observer 扩展卡尔曼滤波观测器的MEMS z轴陀螺仪自适应模糊终端滑模控制

This paper presents a new terminal sliding-mode control (TSMC) for the micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) z-axis gyroscope. However, TSMC may chatter when uncertainty values are overestimated or may exhibit a steady-state error when uncertainty values are underestimated. In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy terminal sliding-mode controller is designed to retain the advantages of the terminal sliding-mode controller and to reduce the chattering occurred with the terminal sliding-mode controller. Stability analysis of the TSMC is presented in the presence of external disturbance and model uncertainties. Moreover, an extended Kalman filter (EKF) observer is designed to estimate the angular velocity and all of the gyroscope parameters and convergence analysis of the proposed EKF algorithm is presented. Numerical simulations using the nonlinear dynamic model of an MEMS z-axis gyroscope with uncertainties demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach in fast trajectory tracking problems and robustness in estimating the gyroscope parameters and also the angular velocity.

The analysis of the dynamic behavior of the electro-optical bistable systems 光电双稳系统的动态特性分析

In this paper, research on the dynamic behaviors of the electro-optical bistable system, especially for its chaotic dynamic behavior, was carried out. The dynamic equation is resolved by the method of the diagrammatized mode. The state of the electro-optical bistable system with changing system parameter is analyzed in detail, and the concrete positions of the bifurcation points are calculated. The system can generate tangent bifurcation and period double bifurcation as the systemic parameter changes, thus the system can generate chaos through period double bifurcation; on the other hand, the system can generate intermittent chaos.

Power transformers are critical equipment of the electric power transmission system, because they adjust the electric voltage to a suitable level on each stage of the power transmission from generation station to the end user. Reliability modeling of power transformers is very important for the electric grid design and risk assessment. In this paper, we propose a reliability model of power transformers with maintenance outage incorporated. The power transformer is divided into two groups of components described by different Markov state space models. Both types of state space models are combined to implement the whole power transformer modeling. Reliability indices such as probabilities of full, derated, and zero capacity as well as system unavailability are derived, and numerical evaluation of selected indices is presented with respect to different parameters. The developed models and analysis method are expected to serve as a useful component for the electric grid system design, assessment, and operation.

Movement control of a variable mass underwater vehicle based on multiple-modeling approach 基于多重建模方法的变质量水下航行器运动控制

This paper is one of the few studies dealing with modeling and control of a variable mass underwater vehicle with six degrees of freedom. Since, the mass of fuel changes during the operation, both mass and the center of mass of the vehicle change with time. Therefore, dynamic equations are written around the center of buoyancy and these equations are more complicated than the equations of the fixed mass underwater vehicles. Also, fin angles which are means of path-following (control inputs) do not directly appear in the dynamical equations which cause more complexity in the controller design. In this paper, the multiple-modeling approach is used in the controller design and the control signals are achieved by the weighed combination of multiple controllers. Simulation results reveal the effectiveness of the multiple controllers in set point tracking.
