Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) was identified in late 2019 and world health Organization (WHO) declared as a pandemic on March 11, 2019. World top researchers, physician and pharmacists are trying to find out remedy but it is still in research phase. COVID-19 spread through the air by coughing or sneezing also depends on environment. In this paper, our main goal is to COVID-19 threat analysis in South Asian people based on their habits, culture, consciousness etc. compare to Europe and North American culture. The research work is formulated in three steps. First, we formulate a dynamic infection transmission model by considering the fertility rate, mortality rate, transmission rate, and cure rate of the COVD-19 caused death rate as variables. Second, we define the variables of the model based on the census of south Asia. Finally, we analyze the threat that COVID-19 can cause to the population of crowded country likes Bangladesh, India etc. in south Asia.

Population of Bangladesh is 164 million, but there are 165 million mobile phone subscribers. Mobile phone usage is one of the fastest growing phenomena of the country. Globally, among many mobile based services, Mobile Financing is one of the most rapidly expanding sector. Bangladesh is yet to see a significant growth in this arena. There have been numerous studies conducted on the types of Mobile Financing Services (MFS) and their reach in Bangladesh. But not too many studies were conducted on the factors that influences users to adopt MFS and their behavioral intension. Moreover, the recent crisis of COVID-19 pandemic seemed to have an impact on the usage of MFS which is also another unexplored research domain. This study analyzes the factors influencing MFS users of Bangladesh and also explores the impact of COVID-19 on the user’s behavioral intension. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model in combination with Entrepreneurial Potential Model has been modified and adopted in this study. This study explores the correlation of Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Social Influence (SI), Facilitating Conditions (FC), Price Value (V) on Behavioral Intention (BI) on MFS users. It also studies the moderation effect of COVID-19 on the relationship between MFS users’ Behavioral Intension and Use Behavior. The correlating factors effect positively on the MFS users’ behavioral intention. But the COVID-19 impact was found ineffective in moderating their use behavior. The framework of this research is a novel one and can be adopted for similar studies.

This paper presents a survey into the currently thriving research on using machine learning for COVID-19 induced pneumonia detection through the use of radiographic scans, presents a brief review of the methodologies and assesses the classification results, and finally presents an alternative in the form of ultrawideband (UWB) imaging. Few works on UWB imaging is investigated and used as a source of inspiration for developing an UWB imaging system for detection of accumulation of fluid in lungs. The goal is to extract information about dielectric property variation from backscattered UWB signals to detect pneumonia caused by COVID-19. An edge fed Vivaldi antenna along with a multilayer planar model for lung is simulated in CST microwave studio and subjected to UWB excitation. The backscattered signals in the form of S-parameters are analyzed with various Delay-and-Sum (DAS) algorithms and images are constructed for lung tissues of different permittivity and conductivity, where higher values are supported to allude to the infected lungs.

Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD) is a multidisciplinary field of study that focuses on methodologies for extracting useful knowledge from data. During the latest Covid-19 pandemic, there was a significant uptick in online-based learning (e-learning) operations as every educational institution moved its operations to digital channels. To increase the quality of education in this new normal, it is necessary to determine the key factors in students’ performance. The main objective of this study is to exploit the regulating factors of education via digital platforms during the covid-19 pandemic by extracting knowledge and a set of rules by using the Decision Tree (j48) classifier. In this study, we developed a conceptual framework using four datasets, each with a different set of attributes and instances, collected from “X-University” and Microsoft teams. ‘Final term’ and ‘Mid-term’ examinations acted as the root node for all four datasets. The findings of this study would benefit higher education institutions by helping instructors and students to recognize the shortcomings and influences controlling students' performance in the online platforms during the covid-19 pandemic, as well as serve as an early warning framework for predicting students' deficiencies and low school performance.

Variable speed wind turbines are widely used wind energy conversion system (WECS). Among them doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) and permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) are mostly used. PMSG based wind turbines are getting more popular in recent times because of their several advantages over other types. Direct drive capability and low speed operation are some of it’s significant advantage over other type. This paper describes two rotor types of grid connected PMSG, non-salient pole or round pole rotor and salient pole rotor and shows a comparative study between them. The mathematical model was designed and simulated using Matlab/Simulink. Simulation results have been shown to analyze their performances.

Healthcare is one of the basic needs for human beings. Unfortunately, a densely populated country like Bangladesh has always struggled to provide adequate healthcare to all of its people, especially to the rural population. To handle with huge amount of data and coordination between the doctors and patients, electronic health record system (EHR) has become a necessity. During this Covid-19 pandemic, face to face consultation between frontline workers like doctors, and nurse and patients has become difficult. As a result, many patients are having difficulty in getting treatment from doctors. In Bangladesh’s perspective at this moment, a cost effective, energy efficient and portable device system is needed to build up a customized Electronic health record system. The proposed system can reduce medical errors about patient identification and treatment, increase effectiveness and timeliness of doctors and overall improve the health care of people of the rural area. Therefore, an easy to use, affordable, user-friendly E customized EHR system design is proposed in this paper by utilizing recent wireless communication techniques that will give the rural people better health service.

There is a strong etiological connection between human psychology with the surroundings. A pandemic can create a huge negative impact on humans. This impact can be both physical and mental. With the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic all the stimulus in life has been stopped. It left an adverse impact on the students, too. All kinds of educational institutions are closed, and classes are going online. This paper focuses on the psychological impact on the students as a result of being detached from campus oriented educational and other activities. A survey has been conducted on the students to find out their psychological impact during this situation where many students participated. It is revealed that prolonged isolation and segregation from normal campus activities has created mental trauma in the young minds of the students.

Covid-19 has furiously affected the world economy. Despite the world’s suffering, Bangladesh has shown a new model of surviving from devastating financial crisis. There are several factors, rarely observed during the pre-pandemic period, helped Bangladesh to stand up adopting the new normal. We have identified that the factors were not directly the results of Government policies, but the necessity people had to change to live the new normal. In this paper, several directions of financial activities and sectors have been explored with evidence and insights in the context of Bangladesh.

Severe Acute Respiratory Symptom Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was newly discovered as a beta coronavirus. The virus-induced unexplained etiological pneumonia and is referred to as the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). Though the disease has appeared in a new way, there is no medication for transited patients. So, for diagnosing the COVID-19 infected lungs from X-Ray images, an automated technique has been suggested in this manuscript. In this study, Convolutional neural network (CNN) and VGG19 were used and found accuracy scores of 97% and 67%, respectively. The comparative analysis shows that the proposed method performs better than the solution that exists. Eventually, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score have been extracted and interpreted the model's loss functions in the research. This research has carried out by focusing on essential aspects in terms of COVID-19. Therefore, for the diagnosis of coronavirus infection, the technique can be used effectively.

The examination is one of the essential parts of the student’s life. After learning from an institution, the students must attend and pass various types of examinations to get their certificates. In this process, sometimes students try to pass the examination by answering the leaked questions. From the beginning of making the question papers to delivering them to the students is now at stake in the existing question management system due to question leakage. So, the traditional way of managing the question papers needs to be changed so that it can stop the leakage of question papers. To secure the question papers and making a trustworthy, physical existence free, and affordable a system is proposed in this paper. To design this model, we have used the concept of Blockchain, Digital Signature, Randomization, OTAC.
