Identification of quadcopter hovering using experimental data 利用实验数据识别四轴飞行器悬停

Obtaining the plants' mathematical models using physical laws is essential in the development and design of suitable controllers. However, sometimes these models can be complex, inaccurate, or difficult to find. In such cases, mathematical models can be build using experimental data that approximate the real system's behavior. The quadcopter is one such example where the relationship between its inputs and outputs is nonlinear, complex, and dependent on several difficult-to-measure parameters. In this paper, a quadcopter is assembled, tested, and used in several flight experiments where the Input-Output (I/O) data is collected and used to develop accurate mathematical models of the quadcopter for hovering operation. Auto-Regressive with eXogenous (ARX) based models, for both Single-Input Single-Output (SISO) and Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO), are developed and analyzed. Results show that the developed models provide good accuracy when compared to the experimental measurements.

Carbon nanotube strain gauge design and calibration 碳纳米管应变计的设计与校准

The design and performance of a strain gauge sensor based on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) has been investigated. A finite element model of the sensor was developed using COMSOL multiphysics. The results were compared to a common metal thin film and silicon strain gauges. The obtained stress response of the CNT based sensor was found to be about 3.6 times higher than that of the standard metal thin film strain gauge sensor.

A proposed dynamic technique for detecting learning style using literature based approach 提出了一种基于文献的动态学习风格检测技术

This paper describes a dynamic technique for identifying learners learning styles based on their behavior in the learning environment influenced by literature approach. The technique was suggested based on VAK Learning Styles model and the behavioral patterns. First we defined the learning material features (contents, case studies, examples, exercises and assessments) and the behavioral patterns (staying time, visits, and answers); then we connected these features and patterns with the VAK learning styles determining the effect of each learning style on each pattern. Then, we applied some general rules and algorithms to estimate the learning style. We prepared a pilot e-learning environment to test and validate the proposed technique, the estimated learning styles from the detection module in the learning environment were compared to the results of a VAK questionnaire; which learners answered before entering the learning environment, the behavior patterns of eighteen participants in the pilot environment were monitored in order to estimate the learning style, eight were detected correctly, four balanced and seven in-correctly, the accuracy of the system was measured to about 52.78 %.

Particles' re-entrainment in electrostatic precipitators 静电除尘器中粒子的再夹带

This paper is aimed at investigating the re-entrainment phenomena of particles in wire-duct electrostatic precipitators. This calls for assessment of the forces acting on a particle positioned in the precipitator nearby the collecting plate. These include Van Der Waals, Johnsen Rahbek and repulsion forces. Re-entrainment takes place when the repulsion force exceeds the resultant of both the Van Der Waal and Johnsen Rahbek forces. To estimate the repulsion force, the electric field acting on the particle is required as calculated by using the charge simulation method. Conducting and dielectric particles are investigated. Re-entrainment takes place for dielectric particles at particle radius greater than 1 μm in agreement with previous findings. The particle radius values at re-entrainment are smaller than those for metal ones.

GitBull: Source code hosting web application GitBull:托管web应用程序的源代码

This paper presents GitBull tool as a source code hosting Web application tailored for the university ecosystem. GitBull introduces the ideology of open source software development. The main aim of GitBull is to fill the gap between how students work on software development projects in university and how software is being developed in the work environment. GitBull helps students use source code versioning and collaboration tools, and reduce their learning curve when they enter the work environment. Students using GitBull and learning the Git source code versioning tool should be more prepared for the professional work environment. The application complements the Git source code versioning tool, by adding a visual user interface to some aspects while introducing some collaboration enhancement tools like the Issue Tracker and the Pull Request feature.

A Network and Power Aware framework for data centers using virtual machines re-allocation 使用虚拟机重新分配的数据中心网络和电源感知框架

Many recent studies have proposed energy efficient approaches that use various techniques such as Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVFS), CPU idling, and server consolidation in data centers. Also, many networking problems could be introduced by server consolidation techniques. In this research, we introduce an enhanced technique called Network and Power Aware (NPA) server consolidation that will dynamically reallocate VMs between hosts in a manner that reduces the power consumption, conserves bandwidth, mitigates the traffic congestion at the uplinks of the switches and routers, and even enhances the overall network performance of cloud data centers. We used Cloudsim as a simulator in our evaluation. We compared our proposed algorithm with DVFS and Static Threshold VM reallocation with Random selection (ThrRs) techniques based on SLA violations due to network performance, the total throughput of the data center, total number of migrations and the total power consumed. The results confirm that our proposed approach conserves power, resolves networking problems and enhances the overall network performance.

Reduction of electrical tree propagation in composite insulation using double barriering technique 利用双阻挡技术减少复合绝缘中电树的繁殖

In this paper, the impact of barriers on reducing tree growth was experimentally studied. An advanced optical system was employed to monitor and record the tree development in three types of samples: pure polyester resin, composite with one barrier and composite with two barriers of glass fiber. The tree growth was regularly measured and the images were digitally stored. The tree images were analyzed for different growth rates and time delays at the barriers. The tree characteristics were specified in each stage of growth from inception phase to the final breakdown. The relationship between the delay in tree growth and the number of barriers was determined for all samples. The tree growth in pure polyester resin samples was used as a reference for comparison purposes. Finally, the impact of barriers on shaping electrical trees was also discussed.

This paper presents an integrated bandgap reference circuit which is addressing low current consumption and a wide supply voltage range, using a current mode structure. Embedded in a sophisticated Power Management Unit (PMU) for a GNSS receiver, this bandgap reference has an output of 0.60 V and it can reach a temperature coefficient of 33 ppm/°C in the range from -40 °C to 125 °C. With a 1.4 V supply voltage, the power is only 3.5 μW and the PSRR is 57 dB at DC frequency. Occupying 0.125 mm2 chip area, this bandgap reference has been implemented in the CMOS 28 nm technology from Globalfoundries and successfully validated in the lab.
