This research aims to know the effectiveness of making summaries in student achievement in writing and to find out if making a summary is able to improve student performance in writing in the grade ten students private high school Melati Binjai 2017/ 2018. In this study, apply the creation summary as an independent variable (X) and student learning achievement in writing as a dependent variable (Y), with hypotheses: there is a significant influence of the implementation of making summaries on achievements Students in writing in grade ten students from 2017/2018 grade ten from private SMA Melati Binjai. The population of this research is the XI-grade private high school student Melati Binjai in 2017/1988 consisting of 30 students. Samples taken using all sampling, the total sample is 30 students. Authors use tests as data collection instruments. Data is analyzed by using the test-t formula. Based on data analysis, it was found that the value T-observed (to) higher than the T-table value, (tobserved = 23.2 > Ttable = 2.04). Therefore, hypotheses submitted by the author are accepted. In other words, there is a significant influence of the implementation of making summaries on student achievement in writing.

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena kontekstual code switching yang terjadi didalam proses seminar proposal Program Studi Bahasa Inggris Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Budidaya Binjai. Adapun ruang lingkupnya adalah; (1) jenis kontekstual code switching yang digunakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa bahasa Inggris (2) faktor penentu kontekstual code switching yang dilakukan dosen dan mahasiswa didalam proses seminar proposal Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris STKIP Budidaya Binjai. Penelitian ini mengambil data dari tuturan dosen dan mahasiswa selama proses seminar proposal Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, rekaman dan catatan lapangan. Dari hasil temuan dapat disimpulkan bahwa code switching terjadi dalam tuturan selama proses seminar proposal Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris STKIP Budidaya Binjai. The objective of this research was to get empirical evidence about the effect of word chain game on Student’s Vocabulary Mastery and to identify the students’ achievement in learning vocabulary through word chain game. This research used quantitative method. The sample of this research was the first grade of SMK Swasta Abdi Negara Binjai at academic year 2018/2019. With the total number 25 students from each class. The research conducted experiment in two different classes with word chain game was employed in an experimental class and other technique was employed in a controlled class. The data were collected through the achievement of pre-test and post-test from two classes. The result showed that teaching vocabularies by using word chain game was more effective than using conventional method. word chain game has served a positive influence. So, it can be concluded that word chain game has positive effect to the first grade students of SMK Swasta Abdi Negara Binjai in teaching vocabulary.
本研究的目的是获得单词链游戏对学生词汇掌握的影响的实证证据，并确定学生通过单词链游戏学习词汇的成就。本研究采用定量方法。本研究的样本是SMK Swasta Abdi Negara Binjai 2018/2019学年的一年级学生。每班共25名学生。本研究在两个不同的班级进行实验，在实验班采用单词链游戏，在对照班采用其他技术。数据是通过两个班级的前测和后测来收集的。结果表明，运用单词链游戏进行词汇教学比传统的教学方法更有效。文字连锁游戏起到了积极的作用。因此，可以得出结论，单词链游戏对SMK Swasta Abdi Negara Binjai一年级学生的词汇教学有积极的影响。

The study is concerning with experimental study which discussed the effect of de Bono model students writing descriptive text. It took place at SMA yayasan pendidikan harapan bangsa kuala kabupaten langkat. The subjects were the eleventh year students with the population of 72 students. 72 students were chosen as the sample and group into experimental and control group. Each group consisted of 36 students. The experimental group was taught with de bono model while the control one was taught without De bono model. A writing test was used to collect the data on the students’ writing achievement. The data collected were analyzed by using t-test. The result of the data analysis showed that the t-observed was 7,24. It was higher that the value of t-table (tt) is 1,66 for 5% and 2,38 for 1%. This meant that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It can be concluded that there is effect of De Bono model on students writing descriptive text of 2018/2019 eleventh year students of SMA yayasan pendidikan harapan bangsa kuala kabupaten langkat.Keyword: Writing, Descriptive text, De Bono model, Six thinking hats
本研究为实验研究，探讨德博诺模范学生写作描述性文本的效果。它是在马来西亚国会大厦举行的。研究对象为11年级学生，共72名学生。选取72名学生作为样本，分为实验组和对照组。每组由36名学生组成。实验组采用de bono模型教学，对照组不采用de bono模型教学。写作测试是用来收集学生的写作成绩的数据。收集的数据采用t检验进行分析。数据分析结果显示，观察到的t = 7,24。t-table (tt)的值为1.66(5%)和2.38(1%)。这意味着可选假设(Ha)被接受。可以得出结论，在SMA yayasan pendidikan harapan bangsa kuala kabupaten langkat的2018/2019年11年级学生中，De Bono模型对学生写描述性文本有影响。关键词:写作，描述性文本，德博诺模式，六顶思考帽
