Taking into account the strong intra-node Coulomb interaction (10 eV), the energy spectrum of endohedral metallofullerene Sm@C80 is calculated. Based on the theoretical energy spectrum, the optical absorption spectrum of this compound is obtained. Comparison of the theoretical curves of the optical absorption spectrum obtained at different values of charge transfer from the embedded Sm atom with the experimental one with the corresponding experimental curve did not allow to establish the value of charge transfer. But despite this, the qualitative coincidence of the experimental curve with the theoretical ones indicates the adequacy of our model proposed for studying the electronic structure of endohedral fullerenes

Анизотропия и медленная релаксация аномального эффекта Холла в синтетических ферримагнетиках GdFeCo/Ir/GdFeCo GdFeCo/Ir/GdFeCo合成铁磁中的异常霍尔效应的各向异性和缓慢放松

In synthetic ferrimagnets with perpendicular anisotropy GdFeCo/Ir/GdFeCo, the dependence of the hysteresis loops of the anomalous Hall resistance and the characteristics of the loops on the angle between the magnetic field and the plane of the sample are analyzed. The part of the anomalous Hall resistance corresponding to the spin-orbit torque has been identified. The field dependences of the resistance are sensitive to switching between the magnetic states of the two-layer ferrimagnet and they reproduce the shapes of the magnetization hysteresis loops, calculated with the interlayer exchange interaction, crystal anisotropy, and Zeeman energies at different angles between the field and sample. A slow (~30 min) magnetic relaxation of resistivity hysteresis after reorientation of the sample in magnetic field was found. Specific domain dynamics inherent in two-layer samples was revealed by Kerr microscopy. It was found that slow restoration of the resistivity hysteresis loop is due to domain propagation.

An effect of activation with nanosized particles Fe3O4 on structural and magnetic properties of zinc-tellurite glasses 20·ZnO−(80−x)·TeO2−x·Fe3O4 (x = 0, 1, 3, 7), prepared with melt-quenching method, have been investigated. Some functional properties of the glasses were experimentally investigated with X-Ray diffraction, Energy dispersive and Raman spectroscopies, and SQUID magnetometry. The values of the average crystallite sizes calculated with Scherer and Williamson–Hall methods were comparable with the sizes of magnetically active clusters reconstructed from the results of processing of the magnetic field dependences of the values of specific magnetizations, indicating their effect on the change in the magnetic properties of activated glasses. A partial phase transformation of ferrimagnetic magnetite Fe3O4 into paramagnetic maghemite γ-Fe2O3, caused by the oxidation of Fe2+ cations into Fe3+, has been revealed.

Optically active silicon vacancy defects (VSi) with an electron spin S = 3/2 in a 6H-SiC/15R-SiC silicon carbide heterostructure grown by high-temperature sublimation technique have been studied. By means of low-temperature micro-photoluminescence (µ-PL) and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) techniques, we demonstrate the potential to generate five disparate types of VSi centers with distinct spectral properties in the aforementioned heterostructure using proton irradiation with E = 15 MeV. Wherein each type of VSi center is defined by its zero-phonon line (ZPL) and a distinct value of spin sublevel splitting in a zero magnetic field. As a result, we have demonstrated the scalability of the number of optically active spin centers that can be enclosed within a single crystalline matrix.

Построение 2D-картин рентгеновской дифракции от модельных кристаллов-вискеров арсенида галлия 阿森尼德·高卢模型晶体的2D x射线衍射画

A set of GaAs whisker crystallites in the shape of hexagonal prism with the axis along the [111] direction have been modeled as well as constructions consisting of such prisms. For these model samples XRD patterns have been calculated. Basing on the calculated XRD pattern analysis, a fitting configuration of prismatic fragments has been built for an atomic array obtained with the help of applying molecular dynamics techniques to the initial model prismatic GaAs crystallite.

In W/Gd/W/MgO heterostructures, the dependence of mechanical stresses in the Gd film on the crystallographic orientation of the MgO substrate was revealed. Variations in the interplanar spacings in MgO in different orientations create tensile elastic stresses up to 0.22 GPa in the Gd film, which are transferred through the damping layer W. It is found that these stresses affect the isothermal magnetization curves, the corresponding change in the magnetic part of the entropy at the Curie point Tc = 293 K, and the relative cooling capacity (RCP). This allows us to consider mechanical stresses as a factor in controlling the magnetocaloric cycle, which increases the efficiency of the refrigeration machine, when mechanical loading is synchronized with the heating-cooling cycles of the ferromagnet.

The current-voltage characteristic and voltage spectrum of a Josephson junction under the action of current pulses are studied within the framework of a resistive shunt model. The possibility of using Josephson junctions made of high-temperature superconductors to create a quantum synthesizer of alternating voltage has been studied.

In a single crystal of lutetium aluminum garnet (Lu3Al5O12, LuAG) in the frequency range of 37–210 GHz, at a temperature of 4.2 K, the EPR spectra of non-Kramers Tb3+ impurity ions were recorded. The measurement results indicate that Tb3+ ions replace Y3+ ions in the dodecahedral position with local D2 symmetry. The value of the g factor, the hyperfine structure constant, and the energy interval between the ground and the first excited nondegenerate sublevels of the ground multiplet are determined. Weak satellite signals were also registered, the origin of which is associated with the formation of antisite defects in the environment of paramagnetic Tb3+ centers.

The measurement results indicate that Tb3+ ions replace Y3+ ions in the dodecahedral position with local D2 symmetry. The value of the g factor, the hyperfine structure constant, and the energy interval between the ground and the first excited nondegenerate sublevels of the ground multiplet are determined. The electroluminescent properties of narrow-gap type II InAs/InSb/InAs heterostructures containing a single layer of InSb quantum dots placed at the interface of the p-n junction in InAs were studied. The features of the electroluminescence spectra depending on the surface density of nanoobjects at a broken-gap type II heterointerface were investigated both at forward and reverse bias. When applying a reverse bias to the heterostructures under study, the suppression of negative interband luminescence and the dominance of interface recombination transitions at the InSb/InAs type II heterojunction were observed at room temperature. The radiation, which corresponded to recombination transitions involving localized states of InSb quantum dots, was recorded at low temperature.

Magnetic and structural properties iron oxide micro- and nanoparticles and composites based on epoxy resin at different mass concentrations of particles are investigated (0, 5, 10, 30%). Commercial Alfa Aesar microparticles and nanoparticles obtained by electric explosion of wire with different dispersion parameters were compared. Magnetoimpedance detection of stray magnetic fields of the obtained composites in the form of cylinders using a strip multilayer film element [FeNi/Cu]5/Cu/[FeNi/Cu]5 was carried out. It is shown that it is possible to determine the position of filled magnetic composites at different mass concentrations of magnetic micro- or nanoparticles with different parameters of dispersion of the ensemble using magnetoimpedance detection.
