Auspicious culture refers to the collection of cultural representations related to auspicious concepts and auspicious consciousness. There are similar cultural concepts in the auspicious culture of ancient Tibetan cultural system and the ancient Greek cultural system, such as auspicious objects, languages, behaviors, and numbers. This can be seen in the "King Gesar" and "Homer's Epic". Due to factors such as thinking mode, personality and national psychology, the auspicious culture presents different cultural representations in the two cultural systems.

Cultural capital is rooted in the social structure and institutional legal environment. Language, as one of the important carriers of culture, plays an important role in the acquisition of cultural capital. Language rights have the function of constructing a system and legal guarantee for the realization of cultural capital. This research is based on relevant Chinese laws and is combined with specific interviews and research to observe the protection of language rights in practice and analyze its impact on the realization of cultural capital. China has corresponding legal protection for language rights at the institutional level, which has promoted the realization of the cultural capital of language minorities to a certain extent, but there is still room for improvement.

In the 1930s, films became a tool for left-wing film critics to compete for the discourse power of films. This competition was not only directly reflected in the criticism of the film content, but also in the views of the audience. By specifying what viewing qualities the audience should have, left-wing film critics intervened in the construction of the film audience group image. Through the stipulations of ideal audience groups, the territory of left-wing films was delimited. At that time, some film review articles believed that the audience was ignorant and good films were needed to inspire people's wisdom, and some believed that the audience was sober-minded and the film shouldn't abandon the audience. This article attempts to start with articles involving the audience in the supplement "Daily Film" of "Morning Paper" and analyzes that behind this seemingly contradictory attitude, how film critics compete for the discourse power of films through the construction of the ideal audience group image and then get involved in the competition for the political discourse power.

BBC Chinese theme documentaries view China from the other's perspective and introduce China to the world. Since the target audiences are from different cultural backgrounds, documentary producers need to employ certain strategies to overcome linguistic, cultural and cognitive obstacles, thus ensuring the global reception of documentaries. This paper, based on the BBC documentary Du Fu, China's Greatest Poet, focuses on strategies adopted for cross-cultural narration. This documentary considers about the integration of Chinese cultural information and the international interpretation, balancing between the local and the global. It is found that the successful cross-cultural reception can be attributed to strategies such as clarifying the poet's identities in narrative, the well-arranged narrative structure, the use of cross-cultural analogy and adopting different narrative perspectives. The present study can be useful for the conveying of cultural information through documentaries and the enhancement of cross-cultural communication.

David Herbert Lawrence is an important British novelist in the twentieth century and is regard as a man of genius. His greatness lies not only in his exploration in the bisexual relationship, but more in his depiction of women images concerning their nature and future. His attitude towards women is always the focus of argument. Some regard him as a male chauvinist while some regard him as a feminist colleague. This paper is to analyze Lawrence's attitude towards women in a developmental angle. Lawrence's exploration in women's nature and future can be divided into three stages. The characterization of women images in each stage is closely related to Lawrence's attitude toward women. The process that Lawrence creates his women images is also the process that he explores their aspiration and pursuit, and the process that Lawrence changes his attitude towards women.

The masterpiece of Sinclair Lewis Babbitt was the first novel in America that won the Nobel Prize. Although there are already a large amount of studies on the novel, most of them focused on the commercial culture it reflects. From the perspectives of archetype theory and initiation story, this paper makes its concentration on the protagonist Babbitt, analyzing the five stages of the initiation progress of Babbitt from ignorance to maturity. In doing so, this paper attempts to resolve the controversial problem aroused by the characterization of Babbitt.

In the new media environment, the media's communication subject, communication channels, and communication methods have all changed. In the process of building and disseminating the image of the city, Xi’an should change the previous top-down propaganda concept, make full use of the advantages of new media, enrich the communication subject, give play to the interactive features of new media, and realize cross-media communication strategy under the guidance of the overall communication concept. These can make the image of Xi'an, a historic city and "capital of hard technology", be known and recognized by the visitors, so as to better enhance the city's outward orientation and reputation.
