With the development of globalization, it promotes the development of cross-border e-commerce. In the exchange and development of international business, the translation of cross-border e-commerce English plays an irreplaceable role and becomes an important means of international business communication. This paper takes the functional equivalence theory to analyze the characteristics and strategies of cross-border e-commerce English translation and puts forward to the corresponding translation strategies, and further demonstrates that Nida's "equivalence" should not be mechanically applied, but should achieve the most natural equivalence.

Poverty is a common topic facing mankind. Targeted poverty alleviation with language is an important part of poverty alleviation, and language can play a bigger role in the targeted poverty alleviation strategy. In China, promotion of Putonghua is conducive to poverty reduction and poverty alleviation because of the relationship between language and education. This paper reviews the main course of the cause of language poverty alleviation in the People's Republic of China, explains the main path of language poverty alleviation through cases, analyzes the role of language in poverty alleviation, and explains the effect evaluation of language poverty alleviation.

Traditional news reports use text more as the only transmission carrier, and use images (图像) less as a means of visual creation and information transmission. With the advent of the era of picture-reading, images as a communication medium that directly appeals to human visual perception have further triggered human visual instincts. The dissemination function of image symbols has once again attracted attention. The involvement of images in news reports breaks the regulations brought about by the limitation and exhaustion of words, and makes news expressed in single text have the openness and radioactivity of information. Based on the essence of image symbols and based on visual anthropology and communication theory, this paper analyzes the cross-lingual, interactive and reproducible functions of images in news reports, so as to start discussion on the influence of image language on news dissemination. Images are not only sensory symbols, but also recognition symbols and aesthetic symbols for human beings to obtain information.

Linguistic landscape is a linguistic symbol for disseminating information in public spaces and an important aspect of language services. This article mainly discusses the discourse communication characteristics and functions of the urban language landscape from the three dimensions of its practical value, visual effects and symbol communication characteristics. The discourse dissemination of language landscape is a multi-party interactive discourse dissemination process, which has information function, symbol function, economic function, cultural function and beautification function. At the same time, various functions cooperate with each other to jointly construct the meaning of the fortified discourse, and each code has different functions highlighted by the difference in pragmatic value.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) carries the experience and theoretical knowledge of Chinese people in fighting against diseases. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, TCM has been widely used in China and some other countries for epidemic prevention and control. Against the current international background, the introduction of TCM to the outside world is in urgent need. Thus, the translation of TCM is of great significance. However, due to its professionality and cultural differences, there are some difficulties in the process of translation. Translators not only need to accurately convey information in original text, but also need to overcome cultural barriers and make translation smoother and easier to be understood by target readers. In order to seek effective translation strategies and improve the quality of TCM translation, this thesis analyzes the bilingual version of Instruction for LIAN HUA QING WEN Capsule issued by China-Philippines TCM Center and the Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for COVID-19 (Trial Version 7) translated by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, with a view to improving the quality of TCM translation and promoting the international exchange of TCM.

"Khun Chang Khun Paen" is a treasure of Thai classical literature. It is known as the "Best of Flat Rhythm Glenn Poetry" in Thailand. It is a true portrayal of Thai society from the middle of the Ayutthaya Dynasty to the early Bangkok Dynasty. It is also the "encyclopedia" of society at that time. The love and hate of the characters and the comments on the events basically reflect the morality and values of the masses from the middle period of Ayutthaya Dynasty to the early period of Bangkok Dynasty. There are as many as 14 descriptions of dreams in "Khun Chang Khun Paen". The protagonists in the story dream of different types of dreams at different times and in different scenes, and these dreams finally come true in reality. Although these dreams are the predictions of reality by the characters in the novel, they are actually the products of Thais' long-term influence by religious thoughts. The religious belief concept presented in the dreams of "Khun Chang Khun Paen" shows the religious consciousness and ideology of Thais from multiple angles and levels.

Cross-cultural awareness is one of the key competencies of a student as it forms the foundation for interethnic communication. An effective tool for developing this competence in students is the introduction of the interactive workshop technology in class. The article presents a lesson of Russian as a foreign language designed with the application of the creative workshop technology. While completing a series of creative tasks, students expand their vocabulary on the topic of Art and Theatre, and learn about the objects of the socio-cultural environment of Russia and Italy.

Aleksandar Petrov, Serbian-Russian poet, novelist scholar and university professor, is a cosmopolitan rooted in two cultural traditions (Serbian and Russian). The conceptual sphere of HOMELAND assumes a special position in his poetry. The aim of this paper is to analyse the conceptual sphere of RED SQUARE, the heart of Moscow, in the poetic cycle bearing the same name, which was the first cycle Petrov wrote in Russian (1972) and in his poem "Poetry in an Empty Dress" (1973) written in Serbian. While the conceptual sphere of RUSSIA is positive, involving emotions and nostalgia, the conceptual sphere of the RED SQUARE is negative i.e. associated with the criticism of Soviet Communist rule. The Red Square refers to the specific, Soviet aspect of Russia rather than to the Russia reaching beyond transitory political ideologies.
