In this paper authors describe the nature of electromagnetic field (EMF) in surrounding of a base stations (BS) - working in GSM900/GSM1800 and UMTS systems. Multi-frequency fields, pulse field and EMF variability in time are the main difficulties, which are emphasized in this study. Additionally, long term monitoring measurement from different locations in Wroclaw (Poland) are presented. Measurement has been carried out using EMF selective and broadband meters in urbanized area. EMF changeability trends were determined in measured period for GSM900/1800 and UMTS bands and two different locations for both, LOS and NLOS cases.

This paper presents the design of a metamaterial in planar form by focusing on the phase properties of its basic elements. These elements must transmit a wave with phase advancement to get a metamaterial showing a negative refractive index. This is obtained by delaying the phase within the basic element by almost -2π, which from outside the element looks like an advancing phase. Simulations demonstrate the behavior of one element, a 1D structure and a 2D structure. The propagating backward wave is traced on terminals of particular elements.

In this paper, we develop a general system of coupled Time Domain Electric Field Integral Equations (TD-EFIE) to predict the transient responses of wire antennas enclosed in a rectangular cavity. Moreover, the coupling between wires is analyzed based on this system. The cavity and the wires are excited by transient electromagnetic wave through a slot mounted in the cavity wall. We apply the Galerkin's method to solve the obtained system in space and time domains. In order to get stable and accurate solutions, the temporal basis functions derived from Laguerre polynomials is used to approximate the temporal part of the unknown coefficients: electric currents at the surfaces of the wires and magnetic current at the slot. Simulation results which prove the efficacy of our developed formulation are presented.

The Time of Arrival (TDOA) based Passive Electronic Support Measure Tracker (PET) radar is worldwide known product of the Pardubice electronic industry. The passive radar antennas have to cover wide frequency band and wide angle in azimuth with sufficient gain. The all polarization detection and all polarization status evaluation are desirable.
