Multi-Mode Self-Driving EV Control for Industrial Sites and Logistic Stores 工业现场和物流仓库的多模式自动驾驶电动汽车控制

The paper presents an experimental prototype of multi-mode autonomous self-driving electric vehicle controlled by Raspberry PI card based on Python language. The developed system provides several self-operating modes of operation using different types of sensors (ultrasound distance sensors and infrared sensors). According to multiple experimental testing, the developed system operates successfully under different modes of operation achieving satisfactory response and good tracking accuracy. The developed modes would be employed in industrial sites and logistic stores as autonomous shuttle service.

Two-DoF Controller Design for a six-DoF Flapping Wing Micro Aerial Vehicle 六自由度扑翼微型飞行器的二自由度控制器设计

In the current work, a six degrees-of-freedom (DoF) time-invariant flapping wing micro aerial vehicle (FWMAV) model is adopted. The averaged model is linearized using the Jacobian technique for controller design purposes. To yield good trajectory tracking response, a state feedback controller (SF) is used for the sake of system stabilization. To consider the effect of the reference input without steady-state error, a two-DoF controller (2DoF) is designed. However, the system is not robust to any external disturbances. An integral two-DoF controller (2DoF_I) is proposed to accomplish robust performance against external disturbances. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller in attaining robust trajectory tracking.

Robust Target Detection in Optical Scene Based on Multiple Reference Images 基于多参考图像的光学场景鲁棒目标检测

Target detection has a wide spectrum of promising applications in image processing. Several image matching techniques using features descriptors and detectors that can be used for target detection were introduced in the literature. These techniques achieve the detection task accurately in case of capturing the reference and scene images from the same sensor. On the other hand, the performance of these matching techniques is degraded if the scene and reference images were captured from different sensors because of different image transformations and deformations problems that occur.This paper introduces a robust technique that enhances the performance of the target detection. We argue that, the proposed technique differs significantly from many recent target detection techniques, as it is based mainly on a voting process that select the best matches between the reference images and the scene image. The proposed technique emphasizes the features of objects in multiple reference images with different perspective angles for enhancing the matching task. Experimental results with real images are used to illustrate the efficiency of this approach. The accuracy percentage for the proposed technique is 48.4615 %. The performance of the proposed technique outperforms the recent techniques and increases the resilience of the image matching task against different image transformations and deformations problems. Finally, the performance analysis is accomplished using three metrics: number of matches, execution time, and accuracy.

Floating-Point Double-Humped Chaotic Image Encryption on FPGA 基于FPGA的浮点双驼峰混沌图像加密

Chaos-based image encryption systems have drawn the attention of researchers in the data security field tremendously over the past few years. In this paper, an image encryption system based on generalized Double-Humped logistic map is designed and implemented on Virtex-5 FPGA platform. Due to the high sensitivity of chaotic functions, floating-point data representation is adopted to achieve high precision and accuracy of results compared to system simulations. The proposed hard-ware design of the encryption system fits the simulation results exactly, and validated with practical implementation, achieving clock frequency of 350 MHz.

Microfactory strategic decision making using simulation 微工厂战略决策模拟

This paper aims to study how the agility concept is successfully applied in manufacturing facilities. The study is involved in selecting the industry and the machines for the novel Microfactory established at Nile Preneurs, Nile University, with focus on the sheet metal workshop located in the Microfactory. The recommendations of this work include the most suitable layout, scheduling technique according to the manufacturing lead time, utilization, work in process, tool change over and distance travelled by operators. Flexsim simulation software is used to determine the optimum combination of layout along with the most efficient scheduling technique.

Centralized Multi-agent Mobile Robots SLAM and Navigation for COVID-19 Field Hospitals 针对COVID-19野战医院的集中式多智能体移动机器人SLAM和导航

In this paper we focus on the proof of concept prototype of fully autonomous centralized Multi-Robot System (MRS) consisting of a Hexapod walking robot and a six wheeled mobile robot. Recently, there has been an increasing demand for such systems as they can be involved in several tasks such as collaborative search and rescue, surveillance, monitoring, and disinfecting Field hospitals. To name a few, COVID-19 pandemic showed the weak points in the medical sector around the world, including those in the most advanced nations that had to go through hard decisions due to the lack of medical supplies and personal protective equipment. The developed system was rapidly adjusted due to COVID-19 pandemic to perform additional tasks like disinfection and remote body temperature detection. The developed system abide by ISO 13482 safety requirements for personal care robots, meaning it will be used and deployed in Field hospitals. We implemented the proposed approach in a game setting of a field hospital where the Hexapod is used to scan and draw a map of the Field hospital environment and to draw a path then the six wheeled mobile robot acts as a medical cargo delivery that enters based on the predefined map and path.

Generalized Adaptive Differential Evolution algorithm for Solving CEC 2020 Benchmark Problems 求解CEC 2020基准问题的广义自适应差分进化算法

The effort devoted in introducing new numerical optimization benchmarks has attracted the attention to develop new optimization algorithms to solve them. Very recently, a new suite on bound constrained optimization problems is proposed as a new addition to CEC benchmark series. Differential Evolution (DE) is a simple Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) which shows superior performance to solve many CEC benchmark during the past years. This paper presents a new extension to DE algorithm through extending the line of research for AGDE algorithm. The new algorithm, which we name GADE, enhanced the DE algorithm by introducing a generalized adaptive framework for enhancing the performance of DE. Numerical experiments on a set of 10 test problems from the CEC2020 benchmarks for 5, 10, 15 and 20 dimensions, including a comparison with state-of-the-art algorithm are executed. Comparative analysis indicates that GADE is superior to other state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of stability, robustness, and quality of solution.

Design of a Schlieren System for Visualization of Heat and Mass Transfer 用于传热传质可视化的纹影系统设计

In this contribution, a simple yet effective design for Schlieren photography system is described and implemented. The proposed system is used in the visualization of both heat and mass transfer phenomena. Refractive index gradient is created by a lighter to study mass transfer, then the lighter is ignited to create temperature gradient. Results show the ability of the proposed system in capturing the gradients in both mass and temperature gradients.

The proposed system is used in the visualization of both heat and mass transfer phenomena. Refractive index gradient is created by a lighter to study mass transfer, then the lighter is ignited to create temperature gradient. Cell Outage Detection and Degradation Classification Based on Alarms and KPI’s Correlation 基于告警和KPI相关性的电池停机检测与退化分类

In this paper, we present cell outage detection and cell degradation classification algorithms for Self-Organizing Networks (SONs). The cell outage detection algorithm uses both the cell’s reported alarms and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to determine whether or not the cell is experience outage. For those cells that are not in outage, the cell degradation classification algorithm identifies the level of performance as either critical degradation, medium degradation or normal cell operation. The key idea of the proposed classification approach is to use the least number of KPIs by studying the correlation between the different KPIs. We consider three different machine learning algorithms for classification. Our results show that the Random Forest approach results in the highest accuracy of 99% with a runtime reduced by 29% due to the reduction in the number of used KPIs.

Comparative Study of Nusselt Number Correlations for Hitec Molten Salt 海泰熔盐Nusselt数相关性的比较研究

Molten salt has been realized as a potential candidate as a clean non-pollutant heat transfer fluid for concentrated solar power plants because of its high heat capacity and broad ranges of operational temperatures. In this study, the Nusselt number of the commercially known Hitec molten salt is numerically assessed, using k-ε model turbulence model with non-equilibrium wall functions, for the ranges of 104-105 Reynolds number and 104-105 W/m2 uniform surface heat flux. Moreover, the present work is compared against previously published work with success. The proposed numerical model provides valuable guidelines for the development of heat exchanging systems.
