A Compact Waveguide Resonator and its Application in a Quarter Wave Coupled Filter with Improved Stop-Band Response 紧凑波导谐振器及其在改进阻带响应的四分之一波耦合滤波器中的应用

Concept, model, design and measurement results for a new compact waveguide resonator are presented. Using the resonator's capability in synthesizing finite transmission zeros, stopband attenuation can be increased dramatically. Measurement result for an X-band filter of this type of resonator is presented which closely matches the design data.

A 11~20GHz Switched Filter Bank for Software Defined Radio System 软件无线电系统中11~20GHz切换滤波器组

This paper presents the development of a low cost switched filter bank module for a wideband software defined radio system. The four-channel switched filter bank module operating in the frequency range of 11~20 GHz has been developed using six single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switching networks, and four fixed five-pole edge-coupled bandpass filters, which is modified from the typical edge-coupled microstrip bandpass filter in the input and output (I/O) feeders to achieve the better stopband performance. The filters and switched filter bank are introduced theoretically and experimentally.

A New Broadband Miniature RF Power Splitter 一种新型宽带微型射频功率分配器

This paper concerns the design and testing result of a 3 dB power splitter. In this work, a transformer-type Wilkinson power splitter was developed for a RF power distribution network, which is based on lumped parameters components. The testing results displayed that the power splitter showed highly RF characteristics including the insert loss is less than 1.3 dB, the amplitude and phase imbalance between the two output ports is less than plusmn0.13 dB and 5deg, and the isolation between the two output ports is less than -15 dB. And the dimension splitter is only 8 mm times 6 mm, this power splitter has a simple design method, low cost and small size.

Compact UWB Bandpass Filter with a Notched Band 带陷波带的紧凑型UWB带通滤波器

A compact wideband bandpass filter with a notched band is proposed, designed and implemented for ultra-wideband (UWB) system application on the basis of a modified stepped impedance resonator and asymmetrical interdigital feed-lines structures. The modified stepped impedance resonator can not only generate multiple-resonant peaks within the UWB passband but also easily realize a tight coupling with the feed-lines to realize a wide passband. The asymmetrical interdigital feed-lines can generate a notched band at 5.98 GHz with no significant influence on the passband performances. Both simulated and measured results are presented and they are in good agreement.

An Efficient Technique for Analysis of Frequency Selective Surface in Spectral Domain with RWG Basis Functions 基于RWG基函数的谱域频率选择曲面分析方法

In this paper, spectral domain method of moment (MoM) is utilized to analyze frequency selective surface (FSS). The RWG basis functions are used to model the FSS geometry. The Fourier transform of the basis function can be expressed in a new analytical form, and the fast convergence characteristic can reduce the computation time of impedance matrix. Numerical results are given to demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed method.

A 1 times 8 monopulse microstrip patch antenna array in Ka-band has been proposed. The radiating element is a modified circular patch antenna, designed for getting circular polarization. The feed network is composed of six Wilkinson power dividers, a 3 dB hybrid, and a microstrip to waveguide transition. Both the array and the feed network are placed on the same layer.

Tunable Substrate-Integrated Waveguide (SIW) Dual-Mode Square Cavity Filter with Metal Cylinders 金属圆柱体可调谐基板集成波导(SIW)双模方腔滤波器

One narrow-band substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) dual-mode square cavity bandpass filter is proposed. Two inductive perturbation metal cylinders are introduced into the cavity to tune the resonant frequencies, bandwidth and out-of-band rejection. One prototype was fabricated and measured, good agreement between the measured and simulated results are observed. The derivation of the resonant frequency is only 0.3%, the bandwidth is about 3.5% at -15 dB return loss.

Collinearly Fed Dual-Mode Stepped-Impedance Resonator Bandpass Filters 共线性馈电双模阶跃阻抗谐振器带通滤波器

Collinearly fed dual-mode stepped-impedance resonator bandpass filters are proposed in this paper. By properly selecting the structural parameters, the first odd- and even-modes of a stepped-impedance resonator can be utilized to construct a dual-mode filter. A coupling and routing scheme is presented to model its operation. Four-pole filter of this type is also demonstrated. Measured results validate the analysis and theoretical prediction with good agreement.

A Novel Miniature Transmit Reject Filter for Ku-Band VSAT Transceivers 一种用于ku波段VSAT收发器的新型微型发射抑制滤波器

In this paper, a novel miniature waveguide low-pass transmit reject filter (TRF) with a sharp cutoff frequency response is proposed for Ku-band VSAT (very small aperture terminal) transceiver. By introducing parallel resonators in a rectangular waveguide using short-circuited stubs, a compact low-pass filter with a very sharp out-of-band rejection is realized. An eleven-element Ku-band low-pass filter is designed and fabricated using a WR-75 waveguide. The measurement results show it has a low insertion loss of less than 0.3 dB at the pass band and a high attenuation slope of 70 dB/GHz. Moreover, the miniature size of the filter is only 38 mm times 38 mm times 42 mm (WR-75 flange size is 38 mm times 38 mm).

A Miniaturized P-Band Coupler with Multi-Layer Dielectric and High Performance 一种具有多层介质和高性能的小型化p波段耦合器

This paper presents a new compact 90deg hybrid coupler using multi-layer technology. In order to reduce an intrinsic circuit area of the hybrid coupler, a compact meandered line configuration and a new multi-layer structure design have been adopted. The configuration and structural dimensions of the multi-layer structure were designed and investigated through detailed 3-D electro-magnetic simulations. The measured insertion loss is less than 0.4 dB, and the phase imbalance is less than 3 degree with the frequency range from 380 MHz to 520 MHz. The overall dimension is as small as 16.5 mm times 12.2 mm times 1.66 mm.

In order to reduce an intrinsic circuit area of the hybrid coupler, a compact meandered line configuration and a new multi-layer structure design have been adopted. The configuration and structural dimensions of the multi-layer structure were designed and investigated through detailed 3-D electro-magnetic simulations. The measured insertion loss is less than 0.4 dB, and the phase imbalance is less than 3 degree with the frequency range from 380 MHz to 520 MHz.
