Low power non-recursive comb-based structure with improved magnitude response 低功耗非递归梳结构,提高幅度响应

This paper presents a low power comb-based nonrecursive structure with improved alias rejections and a decreased passband droop. The passband is improved by introducing a simple compensation filter at low rate. The cascaded cosine filters are used to improve the alias rejections in the folding bands. We consider the case in which the decimation factor is a power of two. The comparisons with some non-recursive structures are also provided.

Signal analysis in linear time-varying systems 线性时变系统的信号分析

Signal analysis and system synthesis are essential tasks in linear time-varying (LTV) systems electrical and control engineers are called upon to perform. This paper emphasizes the analysis of LTV systems in the frequency domain by the aid of the two-dimensional Laplace transform (2DLT)techniques. Specifically, the bifrequency-domain models of basic LTV network elements are determined. Applications of the bifrequency characterization of LTV systems are illustrated in detail to demonstrate the merit of the proposed convenient 2DLT approach.

Mesh deformation with hard constraints 具有硬约束的网格变形

In this paper we tackle the issue of 3D mesh deformation when hard constraints of warping are imposed by user or application. First, we propose a review of the most salient methods existent in the technical literature. Then we retain for a more detailed analysis only some variants of Laplacian coordinates and Radial Basis Functions techniques that allow fine local movements of vertices and respect a set of constraints. We evaluate the selected techniques in terms of quality deformation, computational efficiency and displacement accuracy. The best results are obtained for the CTPS C2a continuous radial basis function closely followed by CP C2 function.

Dynamic time warping (DTW) is a popular automatic speech recognition (ASR) method based on template matching[1], [2]. DTW algorithm compares the parameters of an unknown word with the parameters of one reference template. But the recognition rate is limited. To increase the number of reference templates for the same word will improve the recognition rate, but it will lead to spend a lot of computing time and memory resource. In this paper we proposed a method to reduce the number of reference templates, thus reduces the computing time and memory resource and also keep the high recognition rate.

A new on-chip Ca5Nb2TiO12 dielectric resonator antenna for 60 GHz radio wireless systems was designed. The proposed rectangular integrated dielectric resonator antenna on conductive silicon (resistivity = 10Ω-cm) 3.2 dB simulated gain with 54% simulated radiation efficiency. With this antennae configuration it was shown that very little Si space was lost. Two amplifiers were beneath the ground plane of the antenna which had little effect on the measured performance of the antenna.

A new speech coding algorithm using zero cross and phoneme based SYMPES 基于零交叉和音素的SYMPES语音编码新算法

In this work, a new low bit rate hybrid speech coding approach which combines the benefits of the SYMPES (Systematic Procedure for Predefined Envelope and Signature Sequences) and zero cross and phoneme based segmentation is proposed. In the new approach, the SYMPES structure is developed in the phoneme based fashion. In order to achieve lower bit rates, some drawbacks such as computational complexity, relatively high encoding times etc. of the SYMPES are also eliminated in the new version. Experimental results show that in almost same bit rates very promising speech quality is obtained compared to the other conventional methods such as CELP (Code Excited Linear Predictive) coding algorithm.

Perceptual audio watermarking driven by human auditory system 人类听觉系统驱动的感知音频水印

The aim of this work is the design of a novel audio watermarking technique based on the Linear Predictive Coding approach and on the psychoacoustic model defined in the MPEG-I standard. The embedding imperceptibility is achieved by exploiting the frequency masking effect. The evaluation of the perceived audio quality is performed by means of the standardized ITU-R BS.1387 quality assessment method. The effectiveness of the proposed method is tested in presence of attacks.

Array processing for passive localization of a source in the near field 近场源被动定位的阵列处理

This publication presents a coherent processing method for RF (radio frequency) source localization in a plane by employing a passive sensor array, widely distributed over a given area. The context of the localization technique discussed involves placement of the source in the near field of the sensor array and unknown character of the source in the sense that the transmitted signal, its power spectral density, and its timing are unknown to the sensors. However, the sensors have ideal mutual time and phase synchronization, highly precise knowledge of their own location, and ideal communication link to a fusion center. The source location is centrally estimated by coherently processing the received signals. For this, an estimator is derived exploiting the source location information in the phase difference of the received signals at pairs of sensors. An analytical expression is developed for the Cramer Rao lower bound (CRLB) relating the mean square error (MSE) of the location estimates to the source signal parameters and sensors layout. Numerical examples and Monte Carlo analysis validate the close form expression developed and show the high accuracy capabilities of the source localization via the presented coherent processing method.

Automatic detection of gaze direction for NLP applications NLP应用中注视方向的自动检测

This paper proposes a solution for detecting the Eye Accessing Cue (EAC) model used in Neuro-Linguistic Programming based on the position of the eye center inside the bounding box of the eye. The eye points are determined using an iris center detection method based on the curvature of the isophote and a facial points detection method based on graph models. The distribution of luminance is analyzed inside the bounding box and added as an extra feature to increase the detection rate. This paper also introduces a new database with manual markings used for testing the EAC detection as generated by various classifiers.

In this paper a design method of the optimum quadrature mirror filters (QMF), by using symmetric B-spline functions, is presented. It was shown that linear phase FIR filters cannot exactly satisfy the condition that the squared amplitude frequency responses are mirror images of each other about the line ω= π /2 which has led to the name quadrature mirror flters. It is important to have a flat frequency response for the filters. The solution is to approximate the response of each frequency band by using B-spline functions, that insures continuous superior order derivatives. In the proposed method, the prototype filter is optimized with the novelty of using spline functions in the transition band.
本文提出了一种利用对称b样条函数设计最优正交反射滤波器的方法。结果表明,线性相位FIR滤波器不能完全满足幅值频率响应的平方在ω= π /2线附近互为镜像的条件,因此称为正交镜像滤波器。滤波器的平坦频率响应是很重要的。解决方法是利用b样条函数近似每个频带的响应,以保证连续的高阶导数。在该方法中,利用在过渡带中使用样条函数的新颖性对原型滤波器进行了优化。
