Dynamic time warping for speech recognition with training part to reduce the computation 带训练部分的语音识别动态时间规整,以减少计算量

Dynamic time warping (DTW) is a popular automatic speech recognition (ASR) method based on template matching[1] [2]. DTW algorithm compares the parameters of an unknown word with the parameters of one reference template. But the recognition rate is limited. To increase the number of reference templates for the same word will improve the recognition rate, but it will lead to spend a lot of computing time and memory resource. In this paper we proposed a method to reduce the number of reference templates, thus reduces the computing time and memory resource and also keep the high recognition rate.

A face recognition system based on a Kinect sensor and Windows Azure cloud technology 基于Kinect传感器和Windows Azure云技术的人脸识别系统

The aim of this paper is to build a system for human detection based on facial recognition. The state-of-the-art face recognition algorithms obtain high recognition rates base on demanding costs - computational, energy and memory. The use of these classical algorithms on an embedded system cannot achieve such performances due to the existing constrains: computational power and memory. Our objective is to develop a cheap, real time embedded system able to recognize faces without any compromise on system's accuracy. The system is designed for automotive industry, smart house application and security systems. To achieve superior performance (higher recognition rates) in real time, an optimum combination of new technologies was used for detection and classification of faces. The face detection system uses skeletal-tracking feature of Microsoft Kinect sensor. The face recognition, more precisely - the training of neural network, the most computing-intensive part of the software, is achieved based on the Windows Azures cloud technology.

This paper presents an efficient time-domain Generalized Sidelobe Canceller (GSC) with low signal distortion capabilities using the variable step size affine projection algorithm (VSS-APA) and a log-energy based voice activity detector (VAD). The performance of the proposed VSS-APA based GSC method with integrated log-energy VAD, is illustrated in the context of speech reinforcement application using different signals with low signal-to-noise ratio and different types of noise.

A unified VLSI algorithm for a high performance systolic array implementation of type IV DCT/DST 一种用于实现IV型DCT/DST的高性能收缩阵列的统一VLSI算法

An efficient design approach to derive a unified high performance systolic array architecture for prime length type IV DCT and DST is proposed. This approach is based on a unified VLSI algorithm that uses a parallel restructuring of type IV DCT and DST. It uses parallel pseudo-circular correlation structures as basic computational forms. Most of the unified algorithm can be implemented on the same hardware structure leading to a VLSI chip with a very high percentage of the chip area being used by both the transforms. The unified algorithm can be mapped onto a linear systolic array that have a small number of I/O channels and low I/O bandwidth, which can be efficiently implemented into a VLSI chip.

Calibration and correction methods for analog-to-digital converters: State of the art 模数转换器的校准和校正方法:最新进展

In this paper several calibration and correction methods for major class of analog-to-digital converters (ADC) are described, such as parallel (flash) ADCs, pipeline ADCs, successive approximation ADCs, delta-sigma ADCs. Various types of the methods have been developed, which have markedly improved the figure of merits by alleviating margins for device variations. The above methods not only overcome a circuit's weak points but also give the directions to develop new circuit and system topologies.

The spatio-temporal dynamics of a class of Cellular Neural Networks (CNN's) built with nonideal OTA's is analyzed. The analysis takes into consideration the frequency response of the transadmitances used to implement the interconnection template. Simulation results at system and transistor level are presented.

Automatic colon polyp detection in endoscopic capsule images 内镜胶囊图像中结肠息肉的自动检测

This paper presents a method of automatic detection of colon polyps in endoscopic capsule images. This approach uses color and geometrical analysis of the images and uses histogram of gradients features and multilayer perceptron neural networks for performing the detection at multiple scales. The detection performance is tested using a database of 30540 images, 540 of them containing at least one polyp.

Increasing the lifetime of a wireless sensor network through data aggregation techniques 通过数据聚合技术增加无线传感器网络的寿命

In a wireless sensor network (WSN) the basic component is representedby the node. It is the one that offers the network the “intelligent” character, because it has the capability to collect, process and transmit data to the base station. Because the majority of applications imply the necessity of using a battery as power source, the energy consumption is a priority for prolonging the lifetime of the nodes. This paper proposes and evaluates a new combination of data aggregation techniques. Experimental data were taken after simulating transmission on a software platform, but also from physical wireless sensor nodes. The results have shown that implementing the proposed solution leads to a considerable reduction of the consumed energy.

The performances of a modified binary exponential backoff algorithm intended for use in IEEE 802.11e wireless local area networks (WLANs) accommodating a great number of users and different types of traffic are investigated. After the successful finalization of a transmission this algorithm operates a decrease of the current contention window size of the involved backoff entity by multiplying it with a subunitary scalar. OPNET Modeler network simulator is used to generate the results.
