Empirical Analysis on Stability of Real Effective Exchange Rate Based on PPP Theory 基于购买力平价理论的实际有效汇率稳定性实证分析

Purchasing power parity (PPP) has been one of the most enduring concepts in the global economy. However, its validity has been questioned around for a long time. In this study, annual data on real effective exchange rates for 64 countries or regions from 1994−2022 are used to conduct a unit root test without structural breaks, followed by the same test containing one or two structural breaks. The result shows that a unit root test with structural break leads to an increase in the number of countries with a steady state of the exchange rate, as this method reflects the effect of irresistible factors on smoothness. In general, 43 countries or regions have a steady series of the real effective exchange rate, which means that 67.19% of them follow mean reversion, confirming the validity of the PPP theory. Developed countries (regions) and emerging countries (regions) are steady overall, and the opposite is true for frontier countries (regions).

Research on Measurement of Intra-industry Trade Level and Influencing Factors between China and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Member Countries 中国与区域全面经济伙伴关系成员国产业内贸易水平测度及影响因素研究

With the effective implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) on January 1, 2022, the world’s largest free trade area was officially launched. Based on the data from 2001 to 2021, a panel regression analysis was conducted using the intra-industry trade G-L measurement method based on indicators such as per capita income level, factor endowment difference, economic development level, foreign direct investment, geographical location, and cultural difference. With the result, the intra-industry trade level and influencing factors between China and RCEP member countries were studied to provide a reference for the development of intra-industry trade between China and RCEP. The results show that the level of economic development and foreign direct investment has a positive impact on intra-industry trade between China and RCEP members, and the level of demand similarity and the geographical and cultural differences have the opposite impact. It is suggested in this study that China needs to actively promote the implementation of RCEP-related policies, continuously reduce tariffs and trade barriers between member countries to achieve trade liberalization, and encourage new countries to join RCEP to promote global integration.

Responding to Customer’s Decision-making Intention in Pandemic Scenario: Indicators for Choosing the Right Marketing Automation Platform 大流行情境下客户决策意向的响应:选择正确营销自动化平台的指标

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the marketing activities of companies in various industries and has had a dramatic impact on the global economy. Digital technologies played a vital role during the lockdown as they facilitated communication between organizations and customers. Channels for reaching customers and marketing communications are changing rapidly. Traditional buy-sell relationships between customers and companies are becoming more complex and must be understood in a more differentiated way. Supporting marketing activities by exploring digital technologies, this study is conducted to (1) provide insights into current marketing automation and customer decision-making intentions implemented by companies, and (2) identify the motivations, benefits, and challenges driving the adoption of digital marketing automation. A holistic MA model for choosing a MA solution complements the basic information and shows the selection procedure and the most important selection and evaluation indicators.

Research on Effects of Herd Behavior and Customer Commitment on Customer Behavioral Intention and Post-purchase Disorder: A Case Study of Multilevel Marketing 从众行为和顾客承诺对顾客行为意向和购后障碍的影响研究——以多层次营销为例

In daily life, many decisions are influenced by the opinions of others. This behavior is mainly due to the norms under social pressure, fearing that there would be bad consequences if we do not abide by them. In previous studies, herd behavior driven by peer groups has been discussed in terms of consumer behavior, but few scholars have considered that consumers’ purchase behavior that is driven by “unfamiliar groups” research object. Thus, focusing on consumers’ purchase decisions which are influenced by unfamiliar groups in social gatherings, the relationship between herd behavior and customer commitment was explored with the factors and effects of post-purchase disorders. A questionnaire survey was carried out with 199 valid returns. The research results showed that herd behavior positively affected customer commitment and customer behavior intention in participating in multi-level marketing activities, and customer commitment also positively affected customer behavior intention. However, customer behavior intention showed no correlation with cognitive dissonance. From the perspective of customers, it is necessary to avoid participating in gatherings similar to multi-level marketing which damages customers’ rights and interests.

Analysis of Language Characteristics of Financial News from People’s Daily 《人民日报》财经新闻的语言特征分析

As the main means of transmitting financial information, financial news has been delivered to people daily with different carriers such as financial news websites, financial pages of major newspapers, and so on. Language is an important tool for newspapers to spread the news effectively. The use of language and its characters in newspapers of the party plays an exemplary and guiding role for the reader. For the deficiency that most studies focus on English financial reports, this study is carried out to investigate the characteristics of its language use in People’s Daily. The reasons for choosing topics, the current research status of economic news, and the language characteristics of economic news of People’s Daily are investigated by using the method of text analysis and the combination of description and interpretation. The characteristics of words, sentence patterns, and rhetorical devices are also explored.

Impact of Real Effective Exchange Rate of RMB on China’s Value Adding in Global Value Chains 人民币实际有效汇率对中国全球价值链增加值的影响

The global value chain is a production and supply network that crosses national borders and connects businesses, institutions, and individuals from different countries to create value and produce goods and services. China is an important part of the global value chain, and its position in it has gradually improved. There is a close relationship between the global value chain and currency exchange rates. Studying the impact of RMB exchange rate fluctuations on China’s added value of global value chains is of great significance for a deeper understanding of China’s internationalization process and competitiveness in the global value chain. Based on the global value chain in trade, a regression analysis is conducted on the added value of China in the global value chain. The real effective exchange rate of RMB is used as the interpretation variable, and foreign direct investment, gross domestic product, and consumer price index are included as the control variables in the analysis. The results show that the rise of China’s real effective exchange rate significantly influences the added value in the global value chain even in the global financial crisis of 2008 and the appreciation of the exchange rate improves the production efficiency of China’s processing and manufacturing export companies.

On Translation of English and Chinese Game Names: A Socio-semiotic Perspective 从社会符号学角度看英汉游戏名的翻译

Video game, as an emerging media, has developed by leaps and bounds in recent years. As one of the most popular forms of leisure and entertainment today, it is referred to as the “ninth art”. Its commercial and cultural values have influenced people in a new generation. The translation of names in video games (simplified as ‘game’ hereinafter) has become an important topic for many people nowadays. In current game development, most of the games are packaged with the names of source languages, which makes foreign players choose games with deviations. Thus, it is a drawback for overseas promotion of games in the source language and the introduction of foreign games into a country. Therefore, it is required to explain the translation of game names from the perspective of socio-semiotics and summarize the characteristics and translation strategies of the translation of texts based on the analysis of successful game name translations. Thus, this study is conducted to provide a reference for the translation of game names.

Research on Mechanism of Work Interruption on Knowledge-sharing Behavior Based on Conservation of Resources Theory 基于资源守恒理论的知识共享行为的工作中断机制研究

Knowledge-sharing behavior has always been the focus of knowledge management. With the development of technology and the promotion of open offices, work interruption has gradually become the norm at work, and its impact on knowledge-sharing behavior is worth paying attention to. Based on the theory of resource conservation, situational experiments (study 1 and study 2) and a questionnaire survey (study 3) were conducted to explore the impact of work interruption on individual knowledge-sharing behavior. The results show that the work interruption damages the individual's psychological benefits, thus hindering the knowledge-sharing behavior, and the individual's agreeableness moderates this process. Combining work interruption and knowledge-sharing behavior, a new perspective for the study of knowledge-sharing behavior is provided to remind enterprises to pay attention to common work interruptions in practice.

Evolving Music Industry in China 中国音乐产业的发展

With the introduction of ITunes by Apple in 2003, the music industry has brought the service provider major changes. With the development of the mobile Internet and the arrival of the streaming media era, the vertical integration of the record industry chain, which has the largest share among the three sub-chains of the music industry, has disintegrated. The offline sales channels that used CD as the medium gradually declined, while the online channels that used iTunes and streaming media as the medium gradually became the mainstream. Traditional offline music distribution channels have been subverted, and IT companies and Internet companies represented by Apple, Spotify, and Pandora are emerging as service provider upstarts. Similar to the global music industry ecology, China's music industry is divided into three sub-industrial chains in the service provider link. The first sub-chain, the record music chain, suffers from piracy problems. The second sub-chain, the music copyright chain, once unsustainable due to weak genuine protection, has improved with the strengthening of domestic copyright protection. The third sub-chain, the music performance chain, is currently the most popular chain, and is also the main source of profit supporting the entire Chinese music industry.

Factors Affecting Digital Government Adoption: Empirical Study of Trust and Social Influences on Extended TAM 影响数字政府采用的因素:信任与社会对扩展TAM影响的实证研究

This research is conducted to propose a conceptual model for the adoption of digital government services based on an extended technology acceptance model. Through a survey of 359 users of digital government services, how to operationalize and test emerging variables is investigated to understand citizens' acceptance intentions. The results indicate that perceived social influence and trust are key factors in the acceptance of online government services and intention for adoption. Familiarity and ubiquitous connection have a substantial impact on social influence. Therefore, valuable insight into factors that practitioners prioritize when adjusting their approaches for better results is required. Thus, the adoption of digital government services needs to be related to the level of trust and social influence.
