Impact of Selective Channels on Post-OFDM Waveforms for 5G Machine Type Communications 5G机型通信中选择信道对后ofdm波形的影响

This paper proposes a thorough comparison of post-OFDM waveforms with both time and frequency selective channels. The waveforms which are considered are CP-OFDM, f-OFDM, WOLA, WOLA-COQAM, FBMC-OQAM, UF-OFDM, Wavelet-OFDM, FFT-FBMC and BF-OFDM. All these waveforms are potential candidates to support critical machine type communications (C-MTC) typically between devices. Based on real propagation channels, it first appears that UF -OFDM is more sensitive to delay spread compared to the others waveforms which have all similar performance. For large velocities, WOLA-COQAM, FFT-FBMC and BF-OFDM experience error floors much larger than the other waveforms.

Kalman Tracking of GEO Satellite Signal for Opportunistic Rain Rate Estimation 基于卡尔曼跟踪的地球同步轨道卫星信号机会雨率估计

Ahstract- In the NEFOCAST project we aim at estimating rainfall by the opportunistic use of the signal attenuation due to the propagation channel in satellite communications. The estimation is performed by reverse engineering the effects of the various propagation phenomena on the satellite signal. However, the accuracy of the estimation is affected by several factors: in first place the rapid fluctuations in signal amplitude caused by small-scale irregularities in the tropospheric refractive index; secondly, the perturbations of the orbit of GEO satellites, such as the gravitational effects of the moon and the sun, which, even if periodically counteracted by correction maneuvers, nevertheless cause residual orbit inclinations. The problem with all these factors is that they can cause large deviations in the clear-sky measurements that can be misinterpreted as rain events. In this paper we address these problems by employing two Kalman filters designed to track slow and fast changes of the received signal energy, so that the rain events can be reliably estimated.

Low-Complexity Nonlinearity Post Compensator for Shared Band Transmission in Satellite Communication 卫星通信中共享频段传输的低复杂度非线性后补偿器

In this paper, we propose a low-complexity nonlinearity post compensation technique for shared band transmission in the satellite communication system. To reduce the computational overhead of the Volterra equalizer with an adaptive algorithm, we employ the structure of the nonlinearity post compensator using a look-up table (LUT) with the error detector. The error detector computes the amplitude and angle errors between the reference signal and the received signal to estimate the characteristics of a travelling wave tube amplifier (TWTA). By accumulating the computed errors iteratively, the LUT can estimate the compensation values. Finally, we can compensate the nonlinearity of the TWTA by reading these compensation values from the LUT. The effectiveness of the proposed low-complexity technique is verified by simulation results.

On Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Optimization for Coded APSK 编码APSK的峰均功率比优化研究

The symmetric information rate is used to define the relationship between the APSK constellation parameters, the code rate, and the average and peak Eb/N0. Minimizing the average Eb/N0 reproduces the DVB-S2 constellation parameters for 16- and 32-APSK. Minimizing the peak Eb/N0produces DVB-S2 constellation parameters for 16- and 32-APSK that minimize the peak-to-average power ratio. The peak-to-average power ratio gains are less than 1 dB, but when used on coded systems with very steep decoded bit error probability vs. Eb/N0 curves, the gains can be significant.

Machine Learning for Channel Estimation from Compressed Measurements 基于压缩测量的信道估计机器学习

It has recently been proposed to employ convolutional neural networks for estimating structured channels, e.g., channels where the received power is concentrated around the centers of a small number of propagation paths. In simulations, the approach shows good performance also for systems with a high number of antennas, but it does not consider that such systems might have less receiver chains than receive antennas. In this case, an analog mixing network would connect the antennas to the receiver chains, which results in low-dimensional observations. In this paper, we study how the machine learning approach can be used to estimate the channel from such compressed measurements.

Joint Power and Channel Allocation for Relay-Assisted Device- to- Device Communications 中继辅助设备对设备通信的联合功率和信道分配

Relay-assisted D2D (Device-to-Device) communication was proposed as a supplement to direct D2D communications for enhancing traffic offloading capacity in Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) systems. In this paper, we formulate the joint power and channel allocation relay-assisted D2D communications problem aiming at maximizing the system sum rate of all cellular and D2D links while guaranteeing the minimum required SINR (Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) of both links. As it is a MINLP (Mixed Integer Non-linear Programming), which can not be solved in polynomial time, we propose two heuristic algorithm (named Proposed HA1 and Proposed HA2) with different complexity levels to solve our design problems. Monte-Carlo simulation results show that the performances of our proposed algorithms with acceptable complexity have a good performance comparing with the optimal performance.

Statistical Analysis of Downlink Transmissions for Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications 超可靠低延迟通信下行传输的统计分析

The fifth generation (5G) of wireless systems aims at providing connectivity for a large number of applications by introducing new services. Ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) is one of the considered services that envisions mission-critical applications, such as industrial Internet, remote surgery, and intelligent vehicular systems. The 5G new radio (NR) might employ different transmission schemes to meet the stringent URLLC requirements in terms of availability, reliability, and latency. This paper presents downlink transmission schemes that can be utilized to support URLLC. In addition, the statistical reliability analysis is provided. A proper transmission scheme can be selected according to the communication requirements and reliabilities of data and control channels.

Combined K-Means and Amplitude Clustering of Impulse Response for 60 GHz Vehicular Channels 60 GHz车载信道脉冲响应的联合k均值和幅度聚类

Saleh- Valenzuela based clustered propagation concept is widely adopted for modelling UWB channels operating in the 3–11 GHz band. In this paper, we examine whether 60 GHz mmWave channels can be modelled along the same line. First, an automatic clustering algorithm is developed for the purpose which groups multipath components according to their time delays and amplitudes. Next, the algorithm is used to analyze measured impulse responses for 60 GHz channels inside a car. It was found that 60 GHz in-vehicle propagation can be characterized quite satisfactorily with IEEE 802.15.3a CM1. The out-of-car channel behaviour, however, is significantly distinct.

In this paper, we examine whether 60 GHz mmWave channels can be modelled along the same line. First, an automatic clustering algorithm is developed for the purpose which groups multipath components according to their time delays and amplitudes. Next, the algorithm is used to analyze measured impulse responses for 60 GHz channels inside a car. It was found that 60 GHz in-vehicle propagation can be characterized quite satisfactorily with IEEE 802.15.3a CM1. Polarization-based Cross-tier Interference Alignment in Cognitive Heterogeneous Cellular Network 认知异构蜂窝网络中基于极化的跨层干扰对齐

To eliminate the cross-tier interference and optimize the bit-error-rate performance of small cell for downlink underlay cognitive heterogeneous cellular network, a novel polarization-based cross-tier interference alignment scheme is proposed in this paper by exploiting the polarization resource of two-tier network. The transmitting and receiving polarization states of small cell are designed by interference alignment-like behaviors of the minimum total mean squared error optimization model under interference power constraint. An analytical and noncooperative closed form solution is provided for the model. Simulation results show the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes in bit-error-rate performance of small cell while keeping the maximum sum rate of overall system. And the tradeoff between bit-error-rate performances of macro cell and small cell is also evaluated.
为了消除下行底层认知异构蜂窝网络的跨层干扰,优化小蜂窝的误码率性能,利用两层网络的极化资源,提出了一种基于极化的跨层干扰对齐方案。利用干扰功率约束下最小总均方误差优化模型的类干涉准直特性,设计了小蜂窝的发射和接收极化状态。给出了该模型的解析非合作封闭解。仿真结果表明,该方案在保持整个系统最大和速率的前提下,在小小区的误码率性能上优于现有方案。并对宏小区和小小区的误码率性能进行了权衡。

Global Power Amplifier Efficiency Evaluation with PAPR Reduction Method for Post-OFDM Waveforms 后ofdm波形的全局功率放大器效率评估与PAPR降低方法

This paper provides simulation results to establish a realistic power budget of a transmitter by taking into account different post-OFDM waveforms along with a non linear high power amplifier (HPA). The waveforms used are the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), the weighted overlap and add OFDM (WOLA-OFDM) and Block-Filtered OFDM (BF-OFDM) coupled with a Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) method (SeLected Mapping) so as to increase the HPA efficiency. Simulation results show that there is a clear optimum point between the PAPR reduction gain and the overall power budget of the transmitter.
本文给出了考虑不同后ofdm波形和非线性高功率放大器(HPA)的发射机实际功率预算的仿真结果。所采用的波形是正交频分复用(OFDM)、加权重叠加OFDM (WOLA-OFDM)和块滤波OFDM (BF-OFDM),再加上峰值与平均功率比(PAPR)方法(SeLected Mapping)来提高HPA效率。仿真结果表明,在PAPR减小增益与发射机总功率预算之间存在一个明显的最优点。
