Semantic annotation of e-Learning resources is very important for successful finding or recommendation of the most suitable ones for specific learning goals or learners. Significant research has done recently on usage of ontologies to improve learning, but most of developed ontologies are the only English language labelled and describe learning only from a specific point of view. Usage of bilingual and multilingual ontologies for resource annotation could make interlingual content delivery and reuse in e-learning more effective. It also can make learning content adaptable for a much wider audience. In this paper, we present an approach for the annotation of e-Learning resources, based on a mapped system of bilingual ontologies. We propose a knowledge-based flexible and easily extensible knowledge model and discuss how knowledge-based system, implemented this model can be used for comparison of resources, using ontology mapping. As e-Learning is complex domain that mixes pedagogy, psychology, scientific and presentation subdomains, modelling this domain is very difficult tack. We believe that relatively independent modelling of all the subdomains and specifying relations between them is the most promising approach. Our ontological model aims to ensure strict separation of different type knowledge, used in the learning process (pedagogical from domain-specific, general from domain-specific, linguistic from semantically–rich). This can simplify the ontology building process, ontology reuse, ontology evaluation, and also comparison of e-Learning systems, annotated by ontologies, following this

Younger generation nowadays have been too much exposed and being hooked to digital games such as Slither.io, Clash Royale, Dota 2, Battleplans and 1010 which have made the top five in the list of the most popular and addictive digital games. These digital contemporary games focus on entertainment, fun and excitement. The development of digital traditional games, however, focuses more on preserving culture through a platform suitable to the millennials or the so-called “net generation”. Little do they know about traditional games such as congkak, gasing or dam haji which are the symbols for cultural characteristics of their community. A traditional game such as the snake and ladder were also used as a teaching tool for teaching counting. Despite being in digital form since the past few years, these games only met with minimum success when measured in terms of the download rate which is far below the rate of digital contemporary games. In light of this, two prototypes of traditional game have been developed in which the emphasis is given on incorporating rewards to make the games more attractive to the millennials. Data on user perception was gathered through a survey in which seventy respondents tested the prototypes and answered the questionnaire. The result shows that the majority of the respondents agree rewards are important at every level of the games to motivate and engage the players, as well as to help them survive. The result also reveals the positive influence of digital traditional game on learning.

Cryptocurrency is attracting the attention of academic and non- academic researchers as an alternative architecture of currency. Because of the growing of cryptocurrency research, it is essential to value the existing research of cryptocurrency and identify potential future research areas. This paper provides an up to date review of Information system (IS) research on cryptocurrency adoption. In this paper, we conduct a systematic literature review to gather the previous research related to cryptocurrency adoption. The goal of this research is to identify the current research stage and open challenges for future studies in cryptocurrency adoption. Moreover, the paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) of 25 research articles published on the adoption of cryptocurrency from 2014 to 2017. The results demonstrate that cryptocurrency adoption research has grown significantly throughout this period, and remains a fertile area for academic research. The results show that the cryptocurrency adoption literature can be classified according to three main classifications: qualitative research, quantitative research and others. The results of the SLR reveal that there is a lack of study focusing on the factors that are significantly influenced on the acceptance of cryptocurrency. Furthermore, there is also a lack of technology acceptance models used in addressing the issues. Research gap found is presented and discussed.

Fire precaution action is required in most of the buildings and any of the institution for the prevention of fire disaster. This research discusses on detection of fire hazards using sensors as the parameter that indicates for fire. The fire hazard detection system is an intelligent sensor assembled with the Arduino Microcontroller to detect flame, smoke, and gas. Most alarm system that is being used nowadays has high sensitivity to the surroundings which tends to give a false alarm. This research describes a prototype alarm system that will activate the alarm accurately based on the fuzzy logic approach that has been implemented in the system. The system uses fuzzy logic to connect with Arduino and implemented with 125 rules of fuzzy logic with three levels of output namely dangerous, potentially dangerous and not dangerous. As a result, the output of the system shows 88% accuracy.

Digital educational comic allows learners’ knowledge and ideas on various subjects to be synthesized in a form of digital comic. Digital educational comic not only contains informative and emotive elements, but also engages the learners emotionally. In order to know the digital educational comic is valuable to leaners, it is needed to be evaluated properly. In specific, it should be measured based on what level it is able to educate and entertain the leaners. However, to date the standard evaluation of digital educational comic is scarce. Therefore, this paper aims to present the design, development, and validation of an instrument for evaluating digital educational comic. The instrument focuses on evaluating two main aspects of the digital educational comic: learning (12 items) and entertainment (8 items) which were based on the literature of comic core elements. Content validity, face validity, and reliability tests were carried out and the instrument shows satisfactory properties and could be useful in the educational environment and research. The use of the instrument may contribute to a deeper understanding of digital educational comic properties, valuable for comic development and improvements of quality in comic educational content.

Time series forecasting is a method of predicting the future based on previous observations. It depends on the values of the same variable, but at different time periods. To date, various models have been used in stock market time series forecasting, in particular using deep learning models. However, existing implementations of the models did not determine the suitable number of previous observations, that is the window length. Hence, this study investigates the impact of window length of long short-term memory model in forecasting stock market price. The forecasting is performed on S&P500 daily closing price data set. A different window length of 25-day, 50-day, and 100-day were tested on the same model and data set. The result of the experiment shows that different window length produced different forecasting accuracy. In the employed dataset, it is best to utilize 100 as the window length in forecasting the stock market price. Such a finding indicates the importance of determining the suitable window length for the problem in-hand as there is no One-Size-Fits-All model in time series forecasting.

There is a continued interest in understanding people’s interest through the contents they share online. However, the data generated is massive, characterized by textual jargons and tokens that contain no sentiment or opinion value. One way of reducing the data dimension and pruning of irrelevant features is feature selection. However, the existing approaches of feature selection are still inefficient. Two prominent feature selection methods in sentiment analysis are information gain and ontology-based methods. Information gain has the disadvantage of not considering redundancy between features while ontology-based approach requires a lot of human intervention. The aim of this paper is to review these two methods. The review of these two methods shows that using the two methods in a two-step approach can overcome their limitations and provide an optimal feature set for sentiment analysis.

Cryptocurrency platform continues to attract public attention in recent times as an alternative payment platform. The platform forms a new ecosystem of different entities such as users, cryptocurrency exchange, wallet providers, miners and platform developers that are interacting together in a value. Information systems (IS) and other related fields’ scholars continue to explore the evolution of these emerging disruptive financial innovations. However, there is a lack of systematic overview that focus on the cryptocurrency platform ecosystem layer. Thus, the objectives of this work are: (1) to identify the number of published IS and other related fields researches that contributed to the ecosystem layer; (2) to determine the research methods and theories used in these published works; and (3) to suggest potential research opportunities in cryptocurrency. A systematic review following [1] and [2] guidelines was conducted to address these objectives. The review analyzes the existing literature published between the years of 2012 to 2017. This period was chosen because cryptocurrency phenomenon is a new field. The results of the review show that there is an inadequate utilization of IS theories and methods in reporting the previous findings. This paper presents and compares the contributions of IS and other IS related fields, scholars regarding the cryptocurrency ecosystem evolution. Finally, the paper concludes by discussing the implications for researchers and practitioners and outlining the potential open research opportunities.

A fire alarm system has numerous devices that work together to detect and give warning to the people through visual and audio appliances when there are smoke, fire and gas. The system is very sensitive to the fire, smoke and gas; hence the system sensitivity must be advanced enough so that it does not trigger any false alarm. The aim of this study is to reduce false alarm within the fire alarm system that diverts emergency responders away from legitimate emergencies that could result in loss of life and properties. The method used to conduct the research is a fuzzy logic approach (FLA). The method is tested using MATLAB and it has 125 rules since it has three variables which are fire, smoke and gas with five linguistic variables. The number of false alarms can be reduced if the fuzzy logic approach is put into practice in the alarm system since the probability of occurrence shows only 3% of error which is considered to be small. From these findings, we found that the number of false alarms can be minimized to the minimal by implementing fuzzy rules into the
