Computational Ghost Imaging with the Human Brain 计算鬼影成像与人脑

We report on a ghost imaging, non-line-of-sight imaging technique that uses the human visual system for detection and joint processing with a neurofeedback loop. A pattern carving method is introduced to significantly reduce observation/acquisition times.

Efficient Lidar in Foggy Environment 雾环境下的高效激光雷达

A novel method mitigating the Lidar performance in fog is presented. It employs a median filter to extract the laser pulses buried in the backscattering returns. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the presented method.

We overview the performance comparison of spatio-temporal continuous gesture recognition under degraded environments using 3D Integral imaging (InIm) and RGB-D sensors. The overviewed 3D Integral imaging-based approach exhibits substantial improvements over conventional 2D imaging and RGB-D sensors under degradations such as partial occlusion.

We propose to design an optical preconditioner using an End-to-End approach to improve the linear response of the pyramid wavefront sensor. Simulation results show a notorious improvement at different turbulence profiles.

A UV-IBBCEAS spectrometer to measure the BTEX compounds in the ambient air was developed and characterized. The instrument achieved a detection limit of <5 ppb for a measurement time of 60s. This spectrometer was used to study the emissions from an urban environment, where an elevated level of BTEX was observed near to a gas station.
