Wavelength Multicasting of DPSK signals using Dual-Pump FWM in a Bismuth-Oxide Highly-Nonlinear Fiber 双泵浦FWM在铋-氧化物高非线性光纤中复用DPSK信号的波长

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a compact all-optical DPSK wavelength multicasting scheme using dual-pump FWM in a Bi-HNLF with only 2-m long. Less than 0.6-dB power penalty is obtained for the converted signals.

The ultimate potential of state-of-the-art highly nonlinear optical fiber technologies is reviewed from a perspective of practical implementation of all-optical nonlinear signal processing devices. This review is focused on bismuth oxide-based ultra-high nonlinear optical fiber. The definition issue of figure-of-merit for fiber nonlinearity efficiency comparison is also discussed.

The generation of multiple four-wave mixing products in ultra-flattened dispersion photonic crystal fibers is presented. We obtained more than 200 products spanning over 170 nm by launching 3 lasers at ITU-T grid specification.

Automated Performance Equalization in WDM Networks with inline Optical Add Drop Multiplexers 联机光加丢复用器在WDM网络中的自动性能均衡

We propose and demonstrate a novel pre-emphasis technique that, knowing pre-FEC BER values, automatically optimizes the performance margins of WDM channels in a line with OADM's. We successfully tested it using commercial equipment.
