Cost Minimization Planning for Passive Optical Networks 无源光网络的成本最小化规划

We plan PON network deployment to minimize its total cost. An efficient heuristic is proposed, which can reduce 50%~70% PON network deployment costs compared to a benchmark sectoring approach.

Waveform Distortion Monitor for 160 Gbit/s Signal by Prescaled-clock Measurement using EA Modulator 用EA调制器对160gbit /s信号进行预刻度时钟测量的波形畸变监测

Novel waveform monitoring technique for 160 Gbit/s OTDM signal using an asynchronous EAM prescaler is proposed. This waveform monitor can detect waveform distortion caused by residual dispersion, PMD and OSNR degradation separately. And the feasibility of the monitor was examined by experiments and numerical estimations.

Simultaneous Monitoring Technique for OSNR and PMD Based on Four-Wave Mixing in SOA SOA中基于四波混频的OSNR和PMD同步监测技术

Compact All-Fiber Interrogation Unit for FBG sensors 紧凑型全光纤讯问单元,用于光纤光栅传感器

A two-mode photonic crystal fiber interferometer (PCF) is proposed as a low-cost interrogation unit for FBG-based sensors. The interferometer consists of a piece of index-guiding PCF fusion spliced between two standard single-mode fibers. At the splices the voids of the PCF are sealed allowing the excitation of only two modes. The interferometer exhibits ripples from 800 to 1600 nm with high fringe contrast and behaves as a variable filter in that range. The Bragg wavelength shift is converted into intensity changes which can be measured accurately and in realtime. Detection of wavelength shifts of 2 pm is feasible with the proposed unit which is comparable to state-of-the-art FBG interrofgators.
