Radio over fiber systems: towards low-cost multi-standard and high data rate wireless applications 光纤无线电系统:迈向低成本、多标准和高数据速率的无线应用

We will review in this paper several topologies of radio over fiber systems targeting low cost applications. These applications aim to extend the coverage of, or to distribute, wireless communications signals using fiber based network architectures. They are devoted to be deployed as home or office networks and will focus on affordable demonstrations.

A compact T-shaped antenna for dual-band WLAN communications 用于双频WLAN通信的紧凑型t形天线

In this paper, a new design of a compact T shaped microstrip antenna for multioperating bands of wireless communication systems is presented. The proposed antenna has the multiband measured performances covering 2.4 GHz band WLAN (2.4–2.484GHz), and the 5-GHz band WLAN (5.15–5.35/5.725–5.825 GHz). Several properties of the proposed compact antenna for multiband operation such as impedance bandwidth, radiation pattern, and measured gain have been numerically and experimentally investigated.

Extraordinary Transmission surfaces as superstrate 超常传输表面为上覆层

In this work we explore in the microwave regime the modification of the radiation pattern of a commercial horn antenna when 1 and 4 stacked subwavelength hole arrays are placed as a superstrate. We report a clear enhancement of the E-plane while the H-plane remains almost unaltered when either 1 or 4 layers are inserted. We link the results with the current density excited in the output face of the perforated structure along with the backward propagation supported by the extraordinary transmission metamaterial.

Diplexer design for switched frequency diversity applications in wireless communications systems 无线通信系统中开关频率分集应用的双工器设计

This article concentrates on frequency diversity techniques, considering transmit diversity schemes where there is a single transmitter antenna and a single receiver antenna. Two different carriers are generated by the transmitter and modulated by the same data signal, then the two modulated carriers are transmitted at the same time. At the receiver, the two modulated carriers are also received at the same time. Then, a diplexer is needed to separate these two carriers. In this paper, the diplexer is designed and implemented in X-band frequency. The two branches of the diplexer are designed using a waveguide Y junction to equally split the received signal. Each branch consists of a cylindrical cavity filter for each carrier. The simulation of the diplexer is done using CST software. Simulation results are presented. After that, the implementation has been realized in waveguide technology. Then measurement results are presented, and compared to simulation results. Finally specifications for switched frequency diversity applications in wireless communications systems are verified.

A novel model for complex permittivity of glass for propagation modeling in millimeter-wave band 玻璃复介电常数在毫米波波段的传播模型

In radio channels modelings, the phases and amplitudes of the rays undergo some modifications when they are reflected from or transmitted through a particular material. These reflection and transmission coefficients make use of the electrical properties of the materials, thus, it is essential to know the values of the relative dielectric constant and of the conductivity or the loss tangent of the materials that appear in the propagation environments. In this paper, a theoretical model based on the inter-molecule interactions, has been developed and used to estimate the dielectric parameters of glass.

Design and performance analysis of OCDMA systems using different filters 采用不同滤波器的OCDMA系统设计与性能分析

OCDMA combines the large bandwidth of the fiber medium with the flexibility of the CDMA technique to achieve high speed connectivity. This paper presents the simulation module for OCDMA transmission and reception and demonstrates key function of simulation environment through representing schemes for various systems parameters. The proposed network permits high no of users to communicate with high data rate then the conventional OCDMA system. Analysis and Simulation confirm that the system constructed via this method is of minimum distortion and BER and will outclass the conventional OCDMA system.

A machine learning algorithm for GPR sub-surface prospection 探地雷达地下勘探的机器学习算法

The paper presents a novel approach for the (semi-) automatic extraction of sub-surface layers' properties from GPR data. The methodology solves the inverse scattering problem by means of artificial neural networks which are able to map proper features derived from the electromagnetic signal onto the dielectric permittivity and thickness of the layer which has backscattered the radiation. The whole procedure is first described and then tested over a set of simulated scenarios and their corresponding GPR traces, showing high reconstruction accuracies and denoting the opportunity of a wide range of applicability.

Analysis and synthesis of a K-band microstrip patch antenna array 一种k波段微带贴片天线阵列的分析与合成

This paper describes the synthesis of a microstrip linear antenna array operating at 24 GHz frequency. A linear array with 5 elements, called the 1×5 array, has been considered and Dolph-Chebyshev method has been used for synthesizing. It has investigated how the performance properties of a linear array are affected by varying some parameters such as N-element, inter-element spacing (d) on radiation pattern. It has been observed that the simulated results of an array factor compare positively with the different types of design used in the state of the art results.

High frequency Characterization of multilayered anisotropic planar circuits with several metallized interfaces 具有多个金属化界面的多层各向异性平面电路的高频特性

an efficient computation technique is developed for analysis anisotropic multilayered microwave circuits constituted of several conducting strips/slots which are located on several interfaces of dielectric layers. Used technique is based on extension of spectral domain approach. The numerical solutions obtained by this technique are discussed and compared with the published data. The technique is believed useful in the determination of dispersion characteristics of those circuits such as effective dielectric constant, phase velocity and normalized wavelength.

Detection and dissipation of road traffic congestion using vehicular communication 基于车辆通信的道路交通拥堵检测与消散

Thanks to the advances in wireless technologies, mobile vehicular networks are likely to become the most relevant form of mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). Vehicular communication which facilitates the exchange of information between vehicles is the prerequisite not only for extending the access to Internet while on the road, but also to cater for special applications such as of road traffic and travel management. However despite the increasing studies on vehicular routing protocols, the support to applications other than the access the internet remains limited. In this paper we propose a novel vehicular communication system for road congestion detection and dissipation by disseminating and exploiting road information. The system is an integrated solution for sharing congestion information using a simple geocast protocol and a Dynamic Dijkstra algorithm for planning and computing least congested travel itineraries. In this paper, through simulation results, we show that the proposed solution not only allows vehicles to detect road congestion ahead of time, but also contributes to reducing it by allowing vehicles to avoid congestion points.

However despite the increasing studies on vehicular routing protocols, the support to applications other than the access the internet remains limited. In this paper we propose a novel vehicular communication system for road congestion detection and dissipation by disseminating and exploiting road information. The system is an integrated solution for sharing congestion information using a simple geocast protocol and a Dynamic Dijkstra algorithm for planning and computing least congested travel itineraries.
