This paper introduces a new system of liquid level measurement for standard metal tanks. In this system, the adoption of improved Sobel operator in its edge detecting algorithm and sub-pixel polynomial interpolation algorithm in its edge positioning has guaranteed high accuracy, robustness, invariance, and realized real-time on-line measurement.

Although the EPC method can properly control single parameter's changes during the manufacturing process to meet quality requirements, however, in project practice, it has been proved that a single control parameter can not guarantee the best manufacturing quality. The manufacturing quality is also closely related with the distribution of the values of parameters. Therefore, using the SPC and EPC integrated control technology can better ensure the quality of the products. This paper outlines the features of the SPC and EPC method during the manufacturing quality control, putting forward a process control system which integrates the EPC and SPC method and studies the informational interface technique, the intelligent integration technique and the harmonious control technique for the two method, and then analyzes the integrated technique and the quality guaranteed technique for the two method through a specific manufacturing process example. The application of this technique not only guarantees the needs of the individual parameter, but also the distribution regulation of the group of a same parameter, so it may markedly improve the quality of the manufacturing process. Therefore, overall product quality is improved.

There has been a constant barrage of worms over the Internet during the recent past. To develop appropriate tools for thwarting quick spread of worms, researchers are trying to understand the behavior of the worm propagation with the aid of epidemiological models. In this study, we apply a modification of SIR model to study worm propagation. Whereas in the SIR model once a node is cured after infection it becomes permanently immune, we assume this immunity to be temporary, since the cured nodes may again become infected, maybe with a different strain of the same worm. So we obtain a differential system with time-delay. Global stability of equilibriums of the model is studied in this paper.

An iterative learning control scheme for robot planar motion visual servo with an arbitrarily mounted camera is presented in the paper. In our previous work, it has been proved that, when the image plane and the motion plane are parallel with a constant but unknown image Jacobian matrix, an iterative learning control law with a Nussbaum learning gain can be applied to visual servoing for trajectory tracking without camera calibration. How to design a visual servoing controller for an arbitrarily mounted camera, in which the image Jacobian matrix is shown to be time varying, remains to be an open problem. By utilizing the features of planar homography, the time-varying image Jacobian can be factorized as a constant transformation matrix and a time varying depth. As the time varying depth is bounded, an iterative learning control with a Nussbaum gain is proved to be convergent for planar trajectory tracking under control of an arbitrarily mounted camera.

We all know that it is very difficult to create accurate model for UAV navigation system because that this system is nonlinear system, at the same time, the environment information provided by information sources of multi-sensor in UAV is uncertain. Correspondingly, neural network can provide precise navigation information for UAV by fusing multi-source information that is uncertain, incomplete and mutually exclusive, accordingly to ensure navigation precise. This paper put forwards an information fusion method for UAV integrated navigation system based on RBF neural network. The simulation results show that this method can provide satisfactory navigation information.

A query-based local inverse modeling approach is proposed to compensate nonlinear power amplifiers (PAs) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. The PA is represented by the three-box model with a Wiener-Hammerstein structure. The inverse model of the PA is constructed based on the local modeling techniques, which can work as a predistorter (compensator) of nonlinear PA. Furthermore, a new look-up table (LUT) for constructing a predistorter of PA is also given to simplify the query-based nonlinearity compensation scheme (predistortion scheme). The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is validated by numerical simulation for a 64-ary quadrature amplitude modulation OFDM (64QAM-OFDM) transmission systems.

Flux vector estimation accuracy is affected by the rotor parameters in rotor flux-oriented control. The algorithm has the disadvantage of sensitivity to rotor parameters. Aimed at these problems, a control strategy of induction motors with stator flux orientation is presented. According to the dynamic model of induction motors, stator flux and rotor speed are controlled respectively. The main improvement is that stator flux and rotor speed are decoupled dynamically. Additional, a new integration is proposed in this paper. A modified integrator using the proposed algorithm is developed to solve the problems associated with pure integrator. Finally, the performance of the control scheme is verified on the dSPACE platform. According to the result of the experiment, decoupling control of the scheme is achieved. The dynamic and static results are satisfactory.

A microchannel physical model is developed to study the flow distribution among microchannels, and the flow rate in each microchannel is worked out by a numerical analysis method. A specific case is illustrated to study the influence of asymmetrical manifolds on the flow distribution among microchannels, and the results are compared with the microchannels with symmetrical manifolds. Results indicate that the flow distributions among microchannels with symmetrical manifolds are much more uniform than that with asymmetrical ones. The rake angles have a considerable effect on the flow distribution among microchannels with asymmetrical manifolds and the short vertical sides show a slight influence.

The theoretical study due to the giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect of Co-rich amorphous wire sensor is presented. As a practical device, this sensor may be used to sense the Earth's magnetic field and to provide a measure of the attitude of a moving vehicle. It is proposed a multivibrator bridge should be adopted as the structure module. The measuring principle of the sensor is stressed, which is accomplished by means of establishing corresponding mathematic model. In sequence, with a numerical simulation being carried out, a good linear characteristic between voltage and measured field in the range of plusmn3Oe is achieved, which demonstrates this sensor is a linear one, and it is capable of measuring weak signal of magnetic field. In addition, the application of this sensor for the attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) with the micro inertial measurement units (MIMUs) is studied, providing an effective method for low cost solid-state AHRS with high accuracy theoretically.
