Portfolio investment based on probabilistic multi-objective optimization and uniform design for experiments with mixtures 基于概率多目标优化和混合实验均匀设计的组合投资

Introduction/purpose: In this paper, a new approach to solving the portfolio investment problem is formulated to handle simultaneous optimization of both maximizing the rate of return and minimizing the variance of the rate of return. Probability - based multi - objective optimization is combined with uniform design for experiments with mixtures to conduct processing. Methods: Preliminarily, probability - based multi - objective optimization is employed to synthesize the bi-objective problem of simultaneous optimization of both maximizing the rate of return and minimizing the variance of the rate of return into a single objective one of the total preferable probability of each alternative scenario. The total preferable probability is the product of all partial preferable probabilities of each performance utility; subsequently, the method of uniform design for experiments with mixtures is used to create a set of effective sampling points for the portfolio investment problem to provide discretization in data processing and simplifying treatment, of which the proportion xi follows the constraint condition of xl + x2 + x3...+ xs = 1 with the total number of variables s for xi. Results: The new approach is used to deal with the portfolio Investment problem that is, in essence, simultaneous optimization of both maximizing the rate of return and minimizing the variance of the rate of return, which leads to reasonable consequences. The results are with the quality of rationality from the respect of the probability theory for simultaneous optimization of multiple objectives. Conclusion: This method naturally reflects the essence of the portfolio investment problem and opens a new way of solving the relevant problem.

Classification methods for handwritten digit recognition: A survey 手写体数字识别的分类方法综述

Introduction/purpose: This paper provides a survey of handwritten digit recognition methods tested on the MNIST dataset. Methods: The paper analyzes, synthesizes and compares the development of different classifiers applied to the handwritten digit recognition problem, from linear classifiers to convolutional neural networks. Results: Handwritten digit recognition classification accuracy tested on the MNIST dataset while using training and testing sets is now higher than 99.5% and the most successful method is a convolutional neural network. Conclusions: Handwritten digit recognition is a problem with numerous real-life applications. Accurate recognition of various handwriting styles, specifically digits is a task studied for decades and this paper summarizes the achieved results. The best results have been achieved with convolutional neural networks while the worst methods are linear classifiers. The convolutional neural networks give better results if the dataset is expended with data augmentation.

A new solution for solving a multi-objective integer programming problem with probabilistic multi-objective optimization 基于概率多目标优化的多目标整数规划问题的一种新解

Introduction/purpose: In this paper, a new solution for solving a multiobjective integer programming problem with probabilistic multi - objective optimization is formulated. Furthermore, discretization by means of the good lattice point and sequential optimization are employed for a successive simplifying treatment and deep optimization. Methods: In probabilistic multi - objective optimization, a new concept of preferable probability has been introduced to describe the preference degree of each performance utility of a candidate; each performance utility of a candidate contributes a partial preferable probability and the product of all partial preferable probabilities deduces the total preferable probability of a candidate; the total preferable probability thus transfers a multi-objective problem into a single-objective one. Discretization by means of the good lattice point is employed to conduct discrete sampling for a continuous objective function and sequential optimization is used to perform deep optimization. At first, the requirements of integers in the treatment could be given up so as to simply conduct above procedures. Finally, the optimal solutions of the input variables must be rounded to the nearest integers. Results: This new scheme is used to deal with two production problems, i.e., maximizing profit while minimizing pollution and determining a purchasing plan for spending as little money as possible while getting as large amount of raw materials as possible. Promising results are obtained for the above two problems from the viewpoint of the probability theory for simultaneous optimization of multiple objectives. Conclusion: This method properly considers simultaneous optimization of multiple objectives in multi-objective integer programming, which naturally reflects the essence of multi-objective programming, and opens a new way of solving multi-objective problems.

Introduction/purpose: Motor vehicles are complex dynamic systems due to spatial displacements, changes in the characteristics of components during their lifetime, a large number of influences and disturbances, the appearance of backlash, friction, hysteresis, etc. The aforementioned dynamic phenomena, especially vibrations, cause driver and passenger fatigue, reduce the lifetime of the vehicle and its systems, etc. Methods: In general, the movement of vehicles is carried out on uneven roads and curvilinear paths in the road. Not only do oscillatory movements cause material fatigue of vehicle parts, but they also have a negative effect on people's health. That is why special attention must be paid to the coordination of the mutual movement of the subsystems, and in particular, the vehicle suspension system, even at the stage of the motor vehicle design. For these purposes, theoretical, experimental or combined methods can be used. Therefore, it is very useful to have the experimental results of the oscillations of the vehicle subsystem in operating conditions, so the aim of this work was to use the movement of the 4x4 drive FAP 1118 vehicle in operating conditions (due to higher speeds - in road conditions) to define the conditions for testing oscillatory loads in laboratory conditions. Results: This is made possible by registering and identifying statistical parameters of registered quantities. Conclusion: Based on the measured data, the research can be programmed on shakers in laboratory conditions, and, at the same time, the size to be reproduced can be chosen as well.

Application of Cube IQ software and multicriteria optimization models for the selection of vehicles for the transport of goods in the Serbian Armed Forces 应用Cube IQ软件和多标准优化模型选择塞尔维亚武装部队运输货物的车辆

Introduction/purpose: An adequate selection of vehicles used for the transport of goods is a very important factor that affects the economical and rational use of vehicle fleets, as well as the quality and efficiency of carrying out transport activities in the Serbian Armed Forces. The goal of this work is to design a model that should be of help to the traffic service authorities to select the vehicle that is best for the performance of the assigned transport task based on the defined criteria. Methods: This paper therefore proposes a model for the selection of vehicles for the transport of goods using a fuzzy logic system, as a type of artificial intelligence system. In order to solve the problem of choosing a vehicle for the transport of goods, five criteria are defined in the work based on a survey of the commanders of the transport lines, which represent the input values in the fuzzy logic system.The vehicle is selected based on five criteria. The input variables are represented by three membership functions, while the output variable is defined by five membership functions. All the rules in the fuzzy logic system are determined using the rule premise weight aggregation method (ATPP), which enables the formation of a rule base based on experience. By applying this method and based on the number of input variables and the number of their membership functions, a base of 243 rules was defined. The values of the weighting coefficients of the membership functions were determined using the LMAW method. A user "interface" program was created for the developed fuzzy logic system, which enables the practical application of this model. Results: The model was tested on the example of choosing the optimal vehicle for goods transported to the IVP "Pasuljanske livade" in 2020. The selection of the optimal means of transport was made among the transport motor vehicles that are most used in the Serbian Army, namely: TAM 150 T11, FAP 2026 and FAP 1118. After packing all three vehicles with these goods in Cube IQ and after performing calculation and evaluation of individual vehicles in the user "interface" program, the values of the output variable for each vehicle were obtained. The obtained values for each vehicle were ranked and the optimal vehicle for the transport of defined goods was shown to be the FAP 1118. Conclusion: The significance of this study is that it is among the first ones to demonstrate the application of a model based on artificial intelligence that solves the problem of vehicle selection for the transportation of movable assets. The study provides considerable opportunity for further research.

Macroeconomic aspects of comprehensive costs of assets as a prerequisite for equipping the defense system with weapons and military equipment 宏观经济方面的综合资产成本是为国防系统装备武器和军事装备的先决条件

Introduction/purpose: The activity of managing the budget funds of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces (MoD and AF) does not accept even minimal mistakes in the procurement of weapons and military equipment (WME). Equipping the Serbian Armed Forces with weapons and military equipment must be economically justified because a large part of the budget is allocated for that purpose. The goal of the research is to look at the economic aspect of treating costs as a prerequisite for the process of equipping the defense system with weapons and military equipment. Methods: For the purposes of the research, we used analytical and descriptive methods in order to see the comprehensive costs of assets that precede the effective equipping of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces with WME. The research included the analysis of 18 review and research papers, which we analyzed in accordance with the Rulebook on equipping the Serbian Armed Forces with weapons and military equipment. Results: The results of the research indicate that economic justification is expressed implicitly by the ratio of intangible benefits and achieved goals to the invested funds. The most common reason why economic justification is not expressed explicitly by the difference between the initial investment and the final asset quantity is the existence of a number of circumstances for making wrong investment decisions. Also, if the costs are not considered in detail during the entire life cycle of the investment, it can be assumed that the planned target result is not certain. Conclusion: The research indicates that not considering costs during the entire life cycle of the investment is the main reason for unplanned investments in the later stages and the emergence of numerous problems in the functioning of the defense system.

Introduction/purpose: The aim of this paper is to analyse the numerical methods for solving differential equations of dynamic equilibrium in technical problems. Methods: The paper gives an overview of the following numerical methods: the method of central difference, the method of linear acceleration, the Newmark method, and the Wilson th method. Results: Various problems in applying numerical methods in dynamics of structures have been solved. Conclusion: It has been shown that the application of numerical methods has a fundamental importance in dynamics of structures.

Design of a cosine pulse transceiver operating in the discrete-time domain 离散时域余弦脉冲收发器的设计

Introduction/purpose: The paper presents the theory and the design issues of a transceiver for a discrete-time cosine pulse transmission. The operation of the transceiver and all signals are analyzed in both time and frequency domains. Methods: The detailed theoretical models of the transmitter and the receiver are presented based on their block schematics expressed in terms of mathematical operators. The transceiver blocks are simulated and the results of their simulation are presented and compared with the theoretical results. Results: Discrete-time signals at the input and the output of each transceiver block are derived in the mathematical form and presented in the time and frequency domain. A transceiver simulator is developed in Matlab. The simulation results confirmed the theoretical findings. Conclusion: The results of this work contribute to the theoretical modeling and design of modern transceivers that can be used for discrete-time cosine pulse transmission.

Introduction/purpose: The quantization of the electromagnetic field gives rise to quantum fluctuations which in turn produce a force on macroscopic boundaries. This phenomenon is called the Casimir effect. Method: The second quantization of the electromagnetic field is employed. The Zeta function regularization technique has been applied. Results: Because of the electromagnetic field quantization, a force on macroscopic boundaries is observed. Conclusions: Vacuum fluctuations due to quantum effects give macroscopic results.

Modeling and simulation of hydraulic buffering valve for power-shift transmission 动力换挡变速器液压缓冲阀的建模与仿真

Introduction/purpose: The hydraulic buffering valve has the greatest influence on the dynamic characteristics of power-shift transmission. The hydraulic buffering valve is a transmission element that controls increase in pressure in friction assemblies during the gear shifting process. By choosing the optimal control of pressure increase during shifting, reduction of dynamic loads in gear transmissions and thermal loads in friction assemblies is achieved. Methods: The paper analyzes the principle of one of hydraulic buffering valve solutions as well as the influence of certain parameters on the control of pressure increase. After the analysis of the working principle of the hydraulic buffering valve, a simulation model was developed in the MATLAB/Simulink software package. Results: The results obtained using the simulation model were compared with the experimental results of the selected pressure modulator solution. The selected hydraulic buffering valve was developed as part of the development of a device for power-shift transmission. The simulation results showed a satisfactory match with the experimental results. Conclusion: The developed simulation model enables a relatively easy and quick change of the parameters of the hydraulic buffering valve as well as a possibility of a faster and better understanding of the influence of individual parameters on pressure increase during the gear shifting process.
