Lagu Dolanan dalam Permainan Tradisional sebagai Strategi Inovasi Pendidikan Sendratasik

Dolanan songs in traditional games as an innovation strategy for the art education of drama, dance, and music. This research focuses on constructing alternative learning in an innovation strategy of art education of drama, dance, and music through dolanan songs in traditional children's games. Alternative strategies are needed in providing diversification of learning because the problem that occurs in the art education of drama, dance, and music is the existence of cultural conflicts that impact the stagnation of the learning model. The choice of the dolanan song is due to its meaning and philosophy, which have aesthetic value in aspects of motion, drama, and music with the ability to adapt to the dynamics of science and technology. A library method is an approach used to construct an innovation strategy from the meaning contained in the text of children's traditional game songs. They implicitly have imaginative factors, particular messages, and aesthetic elements. Therefore, they can be relevant to the social conditions of society in the new cultural order. Based on the elaboration done in the study, three strategies are found which can answer the research problems, and are used in developing the art education of drama, dance, and music. They are as follows: firstly, the strategy of revitalizing the dolanan song in traditional children's games; secondly, the art education of drama, dance, and music is an appreciation education about aesthetic meaning; and thirdly, the formal transmission strategy of traditional transmission children's games through schools.

Penciptaan Konserto Etude Tangganada Pentatonik untuk Pembelajaran Violin dan Orkestra

The Creation of Pentatonic Scale Etude Concerto for Violin and Orchestral Learning. This research aims to explain creating a musical work in the form of a violin etude in the form of a concerto. The concerto is arranged in a free pentatonic scale from traditional Javanese idioms: the lancaran and gangsaran rhythm. The concerto consists of one movement that contains etude material, namely learning the technique of playing the violin in a beautiful and exciting melody. The problem highlighted is students' difficulty learning etude for the violin, which is often considered complicated. In the learning process, students tend to be oriented towards violin music such as concertos, sonatas, or musical pieces (short works) compared to etude works. Therefore, it is important for creating the concerto etude to bridge the students' violin learning process, both for educative and performative dimensions. Creating the etude concerto in this traditional idiom is expected to foster student interest in learning to practice etude. The research was organized in several stages: document collection, observation, artistic, trial, and dissemination. The research/design method was taken from Reginald Smith Brindle (1986), i.e., Musical Composition and King Palmer Teach Yourself to Composed Music (1952). The method is as follows: listening to different music that is close to the research topic to find ideas, using the violin and piano to make melodic pieces, including double, triple, four-stop techniques, connecting, combining, developing synchronized melody pieces, rhythmic variations, rhythms, articulation variations, syncopations, rhythm figures, melodic decorations, harmonies, dynamic variations, and so on. The conclusion of the research on creating a concerto with one movement is more freedom to express ideas. The use of lancaran and gangsaran rhythms in a pentatonic scale to give the nuances of the Central Java region, turns out to be more nuanced with a Mandarin concerto. After being implemented, it turns out that this concerto is still quite difficult for learning violin 3.

The Use of Health-Themed Vocabulary in Creating Children's Song Lyrics. Children's songs can convey the songwriter's messages and describe the children's lives and the environment through their perspective in the lyrics. In this context, the song is the unity of the melody and lyrics. In addition, songs can also function as a means of exploration, information, expression, and entertainment. This research was conducted to determine the description of health-themed vocabulary uses in children's song lyrics. How health vocabulary, especially in children's song lyrics, is used by children's songwriters. The study sample was a set of songs from a collection of the best children's songs, Dendang Kencana. The research used a descriptive-analytical method, which was preceded by a literature study followed by determining the lyrics of the health-themed song lyrics created by the songwriters of Dendang Kencana song album. Data collection was carried out by using the ten-song lyrics with scores. Those songs were the best songs chosen from the Dendang Kencana album. The two songs were the best-selected songs in the Dendang Kencana Children's Songwriting Competition in 2017. The lyrics were observed and recorded, and analyzed to determine the vocabulary used within the children's song lyrics. The vocabulary was then grouped and interpreted according to the purpose of this study. The results show that in children's songs, the vocabulary of the health-themed is often used by the songwriters to emphasize the importance of being healthy and healthy since childhood. The vocabulary is related to children's daily activities, such as bathing, washing hands, washing hair, maintaining a healthy body, exercising, eating nutritiously, and other movement activities.

Stimulasi Ekspresi Melalui Teknik Reinterpretasi dalam Pertunjukan Musik Seni 通过艺术音乐表演的解释性技巧来激发表达

The purpose of this study is to proved that musik reinterpretation is the most important aspect for both musikians and audiences in enjoying art musik. This is because in recent years there has been a declined in album sales and the number of audience for performing arts musik. So that the efforts of musikians to reinterpret various art musik repertoires by presenting new perspectives and impressions which in turn are expected to increased interest in art musik. The concept of emotion from Mehrabian-Russell in Bakker (1977) is used to understand the mechanism of emotional responses experienced by the audience after being treated by the modification of musikal reinterpretation. Then measurements were designed based on Westbrook & Reilly's theory of consumer satisfaction in Atila and Fisun Yüksel (2008) to identify the emotional responses which is the main factor in audiences satisfaction after listening to the repertoire being played. Mixed methods were used through a case study approach and a one-group experimental design with post-treatment measurements (One-group posttest-only design). Musikians recorded Allemande from Suite No. 6 for Johann Sebastian Bach's cello through the first video in the original style and in the second video, interpreting it in a romantic sense. Some of the musikal elements manipulated were tempo, dynamics, timbre and musikians' gestures. After the audience watched the two videos, they filled out a questionnaire to find out the emotional responses such as 'happy', 'joyful', 'sad', and 'bored'. The results showed that 56.4% did not experience pleasure and excitement when watching the first video. Then 73.8% of viewers experienced the emotions of 'fun' and 'joy' when watching the second video. The conclusion shows that reinterpretation of a repertoire is important because it can bring new perspectives and impressions to attract attention and give satisfaction to the audience.

Tembang Anak Jawa Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Membaca di TK Pertiwi III Sinduadi Mlati Sleman di Masa Pandemi. Alasan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membaca anak Indonesia di tingkat dunia rendah. Hal ini mengindikasikan cita-cita mewujudkan generasi bangsa yang dapat bersaing secara global masih jauh dari kenyataan. Penulis ingin membantu memecahkan permasalahan tersebut dengan mengoptimalkan pembelajaran membaca di jenjang pendidikan Taman Kanak-kanak dengan alasan masa tersebut adalah masa usia emas mengoptimalkan kemampuan manusia, termasuk di dalamnya kemampuan membaca. Peneliti akan membuat model pembelajaran membaca anak usia dini berbasis kearifan lokal Jawa, menggunakan tembang dolanan anak.Metode penelitian pengembangan (merancang model, menguji, dan melaporkan hasilnya) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Rancangan model pembelajaran menggunakan tembang cara menghafal huruf, cara mengingat bentuk huruf, cara membaca huruf hidup, cara belajar mengeja dan pengayaan direkam dalam bentuk video dikirimkan ke orang tua siswa untuk dipelajari kemudian diajarkan kepada anaknya. Selain itu orang tua diminta menjawab kuesioner tentang pelaksanaan pembelajaran tersebut dan video juga diungggah dalam kanal youtube untuk mendapatkan tanggapan masyarakat. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mendapatkan tanggapan orang tua siswa sedangkan tanggapan masyarakat disampaikan melalui fasilitas yang disediakan youtube..Hasilnya model pembelajaran membaca berbasis tembang anak untuk anak usia dini di masa pandemi mempunyai kekuatan dan kelemahan. Kekuatannya model dapat mendorong belajar membaca, suasana belajar menyenangkan; sedangkan kekurangannya pembelajaran belum optimal karena orang tua bekerja dan tidak semua dari mereka menguasai tembang anak serta bahasa pengantar model menggunakan bahasa campuran. Kelemahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pembelajaran tatap muka dan mengganti bahasa pengantarnya bahasa Jawa semuanya.

Kuesioner digunakan untuk mendapatkan tanggapan orang tua siswa sedangkan tanggapan masyarakat disampaikan melalui fasilitas yang disediakan youtube..Hasilnya model pembelajaran membaca berbasis tembang anak untuk anak usia dini di masa pandemi mempunyai kekuatan dan kelemahan. Kekuatannya model dapat mendorong belajar membaca, suasana belajar menyenangkan; sedangkan kekurangannya pembelajaran belum optimal karena orang tua bekerja dan tidak semua dari mereka menguasai tembang anak serta bahasa pengantar model menggunakan bahasa campuran. Modes in Modality concept is a musical thinking that was used before 1600s. After 1600s (Baroque Era), the concept of modes changed into a contrast concept called Tonality (major-minor) and still exist today, in our era. Musical knowledge will evolve along with technological advances, but in fact there are so many composers today using the concept of modes to give another nuance and interpretation in their musical works. As academic musicians, surely the students of Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta got the concept of modes in several subject such as music theory, music structure and style, music analysis, and etc. However, the tonality concept that always used by common academic musicians today makes the concept of Modality become so hard to identify if they are heard a musical work that contains modes. This research will show us how many students of Music Department of ISI Yogyakarta who can’t identify a musical work that contains modes.

Inovasi dan Pembauran Genre dalam Pertunjukan Keroncong Wayang Gendut

This paper aims to discuss the forms of design and genre-mixing carried out by the Keroncong Wayang Gendut -Congwayndut-group in Surakarta, which tries to offer a state of wayang performance with a more interactive packaging. The universal evolution approach uses the analytical tool in this paper to examine the new elements offered by Congwayndut as a form of innovation in the puppet show. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive model. The conceptual approach and research methods found that the creation and genre-mixing carried out by Congwayndut were implemented in music, stories, and performance forms. The use of keroncong's music with combos and contemporary bands is the main illustration in the show. They are still based on  Ramayana and Mahabharata's epics but actualized in current phenomena in society. Congwayndut's innovative form of performance is packaged in interactive language and builds closeness to the audience. It intended so that the messages and values to be conveyed will be readily accepted and understood by the audience, whose segmentation is the younger generation.

Utilizing Youtube as a Learning Media for Pop-Jazz Vocal Course at Music Education Study Program of Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. The research aims to reveal the learning process of the Pop-Jazz vocal course and the utilization of youtube as an accompaniment in learning the Pop- Jazz vocal course. This research is expected to provide solutions for students who face problems in the learning process of the Pop-Jazz vocal course during the covid-19 pandemic. It is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation during the learning process. Furthermore, interviews with teachers and vocal students of Pop-Jazz were conducted to obtain the data. It was a case study of vocal students of Pop-Jazz Intermediate 1 at the Music Education Study Program. The literature studies were carried out to support the data and references. This study shows that the interest in vocal learning of Pop-Jazz at the Music Education Study Program by utilizing youtube as an accompaniment at the pop-jazz vocal course can be increased.

Teknik Permainan Beatbox Flute Dalam Box Karya Christopher Kuhns

The composition of solo flute created by Christopher Kuhns entitled ‘BOX’ is interesting because it uses beatbox tecnique in playing the flute. beatbox technique in flute is not a new technique for flute, Greg Pattillo is one of the flutist has introduced this technique in 2009. This research aims to describe the beatbox flute technique used in Box coposition and how to produce beatbox technique through articulation and tonguing in flute. The method used by researcher is a qualitative descriptive research methode with a analysis approach. The data obtained though literature studies, music score of Box, collecting audio-visual documentation in the form of performing Box composition through the internet and interview with Christopher Kuhns, Greg Pattillo, and Willem Carolus Cristopherson Tamnge. The result of this research show that the flute not only can produce melodic sounds, but also can produce percussive sounds with many sound colors. Beatbox technique was imitating percussion sound such as; bass drum, hi-hat, and snare. In Box Composition, there are seven beatbox articulation techniques, such as classic kick, closed k hi-hat, closed t hi-hat, meshed snare, open t hi-hat, shaker, and classic inward snare. The flute articulation techniques are accent, legato, staccato, and slur, also tonguing techniques used in Box composition are single tonguing and double tonguing. The application of articulation and tonguing influence each other in beatbox flute palying to produce clear melody and rhythm.

DESTINASI: Kolaborasi Kreatif Musik Digital, Puisi dan Tari 目的地:数字音乐、诗歌和舞蹈的创造性合作

This research discusses the implementation of a music score into a collaboration of digital music, dance and poetry. The integration of the three arts is done by symbolizing human life from birth to adulthood. The researcher, as the creator of this Destination composition, intends to add to his repertoire by combining three different arts, namely, digital music, dance and poetry. This compositional work was created using qualitative, practice-based, practice-led and ethnographic methods. The process of making this work is by analyzing music score data taken from the results of field exploration and in combination with poetry and dance script data and then processed into the laboratory desk. The result is the creation of collaborative digital music, dance and poetry, based on the culture of human life and the author's background and life experiences. The work reflects the symbols of human life which are revealed in the poem entitled Directions of Life. Initially, Destination's composition work was a composite work created using cross-cultural (combination) elements of Western music, and Malay music (gendang Malay). Furthermore, the work is processed into a collaboration that is carried out with a combination of motion, emotion, voice intonation and digital music. The result of the collaboration of Destination's compositions is to produce a performance that combines three different arts where music is the main focus in bringing out ideas and concepts of body movement and voice intonation from dancers and poetry readers. The ability to relate ideas or ideas to a musical concept, producing a new work with the collaboration of three different arts which can be used by musicians, practitioners, and educators in Indonesia. Penelitian ini mendiskusikan implementasi  sebuah skor musik menjadi kolaborasi musik digital,seni tari dan puisi. Penggabungan ketiga seni tersebut dilakukan dengan cara symbol kehidupan manusia dari mulai lahir hingga dewasa. Peneliti sebagai pencipta karya komposisi destinatioan ini bermaksud untuk menambah repertoar dengan menggunakan penggabungan tiga seni yang berbeda yaitu, musik digital, tari dan puisi. Karya komposisi ini diciptakan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, practice-based, practice-led dan ethnographic. Proses pembuatan karya tersebut dengan melakukan analisa data skor musik yang diambil dari hasil eksplorasi lapangan dan kombinasi dengan data script puisi dan tari kemudian diolah ke dalam desk laboratory. Hasilnya adalah terciptanya kolaborasi karya seni musik digital, tari dan puisi, berdasarkan budaya kehidupan manusia dan latar belakang penulis dan pengalaman kehidupan penulis. The integration of the three arts is done by symbolizing human life from birth to adulthood. The researcher, as the creator of this Destination composition, intends to add to his repertoire by combining three different arts, namely, digital music, dance and poetry. This compositional work was created using qualitative, practice-based, practice-led and ethnographic methods. The process of making this work is by analyzing music score data taken from the results of field exploration and in combination with poetry and dance script data and then processed into the laboratory desk. The result is the creation of collaborative digital music, dance and poetry, based on the culture of human life and the author's background and life experiences. The work reflects the symbols of human life which are revealed in the poem entitled Directions of Life. Initially, Destination's composition work was a composite work created using cross-cultural (combination) elements of Western music, and Malay music (gendang Malay). Furthermore, the work is processed into a collaboration that is carried out with a combination of motion, emotion, voice intonation and digital music. The result of the collaboration of Destination's compositions is to produce a performance that combines three different arts where music is the main focus in bringing out ideas and concepts of body movement and voice intonation from dancers and poetry readers. The ability to relate ideas or ideas to a musical concept, producing a new work with the collaboration of three different arts which can be used by musicians, practitioners, and educators in Indonesia. Penelitian ini mendiskusikan implementasi  sebuah skor musik menjadi kolaborasi musik digital,seni tari dan puisi. Penggabungan ketiga seni tersebut dilakukan dengan cara symbol kehidupan manusia dari mulai lahir hingga dewasa. Peneliti sebagai pencipta karya komposisi destinatioan ini bermaksud untuk menambah repertoar dengan menggunakan penggabungan tiga seni yang berbeda yaitu, musik digital, tari dan puisi. Karya komposisi ini diciptakan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, practice-based, practice-led dan ethnographic. Proses pembuatan karya tersebut dengan melakukan analisa data skor musik yang diambil dari hasil eksplorasi lapangan dan kombinasi dengan data script puisi dan tari kemudian diolah ke dalam desk laboratory. Hasilnya adalah terciptanya kolaborasi karya seni musik digital, tari dan puisi, berdasarkan budaya kehidupan manusia dan latar belakang penulis dan pengalaman kehidupan penulis.
