Time Series, Collaboration and Large Data Sets Enhancements of SPLAT-VO spat - vo的时间序列、协作和大数据集增强

Virtual Observatory (VO) is a world-wide ecosystem of mutually compatible datasets, resources, services, and~software tools which use a common set of technologies and~standards. SPLAT-VO is a leading stellar spectra analysis tool that allows displaying, modifying and~analyzing astronomical spectra. SPLAT-VO also serves as a reference implementation of new VO protocols and data models and~is~being enhanced in a way of interaction with other tools and~collaboration, as well as user experience. Our enhancements of SPLAT-VO allows to send large data sets received from VO data archives to other tools via SAMP protocol, export spectral data to Big Data-friendly formats and to work with light curves in VOTable data cube format. There is also a preview of other enhancements that significantly improves the user experience with large data sets and lowers the memory consumption of SPLAT-VO.

Smile Veracity Recognition Using LBP Features for Image Sequence Processing 基于LBP特征的微笑真实性识别

Correct recognition of emotion veracity exhibited in facial gestures is troublesome for people. Yet, there is a belief that computer systems are able to perceive some tiny changes correlated to veracity expression, invisible for people, and therefore are able to improve proper perception of emotions. This work addresses the problem of spontaneous and posed smile recognition and suggests two approaches. The first one uses the visual cues, in which the feature vector describes the content of evenly sampled frames in the movie by applying uniform local binary patterns. The second one, describes the video sequence with smile intensity information derived from information extracted from each frame, where the feature vector is built using simple statistical measures calculated from this data. These two systems and a combination of them are tested on UVA-NEMO database and proved to deliver encouraging results.

Simulation-Based Experimental Research of Wireless Sensor Network Life Expectancy Reconfiguration Method in Transport Logistics Area 基于仿真的运输物流领域无线传感器网络寿命重构方法实验研究

Nowadays in cargo identification process are used different type of sensors (GSM, GPS, RFID and others) tocontrol and manage cargo data process. Existing technologies allow to identify container location on map or container Traffic load history. This technology has problems using it in limited area (board, train, container terminal) because of location services limitation. In case, if containers are located close to each other or placed one on one, location services will not give correct position of necessary item. Adaptive wireless sensor network can identify each with sensor equipped itemand display its location relative to other items in set position. In result adaptive wireless network in real live creates 3D items location map with from available sensors received information (item temperature, weight, radiation etc.). This article will discuss the simulation tool for the assessment of a wireless sensor network life circle that ensures the configuration of optimal network and projection/displaying of topology operations by using energy balancing methods.

Dynamics Study of Compass-Gait Biped Robot through Nonlinear Time-Series Analysis 基于非线性时间序列分析的罗盘步态双足机器人动力学研究

Passive dynamic walking (PDW) provides us better insight for understanding human walking, for developing prosthetic limbs and for designing superior bipedal robots. In this paper, we investigated the dynamics of a simple PDW, 2D compass-gait biped model that loosely look like human legs (without knees), using time-series analysis based on nonlinear dynamics. Previously, this passive biped model has been explored using only bifurcation diagrams and phase-space plots, but we studied it using nonlinear time-series analysis. The experimental results from walking experiments of prototype passive compass-gait biped validated the simulation results. These results can be useful for designing efficient bipedal robots.

3G Network's Performances Evaluation Challenges 3G网络性能评估面临的挑战

This paper summary whole research aimed to design and develop an application for assessment of performance of a third-generation network of mobile operators for a better treatment of the collected data on the network, a diagnosis more efficient of possible problems related to the degradation of the quality of service, for an effective analysis of network performance in view of an optimization or an improvement of these last. In order to evaluate the performances of 3G networks, we began by presenting the context and the motivations of our project, the problematic, the intended objectives and that our methodology of research.

Torque Estimation in Variable Stiffness Actuators 变刚度执行器的转矩估计

For the use in rehabilitation robotic devices, various types of actuators are currently being investigated. Variable impedance actuators seem promising concerning individualized training, comfort and safety. For the control of actuators, some sensors are required, however, to keep the rehabilitation device light, also the implementation of measuring instruments should be reduced. Thus, in this contribution, we introduce three different ways to observe the interaction torque of an electrical actuator. Using a detailed model of an actuator and mechanical system, the interaction torque is investigated through different sensor signals. In a real actuator, non-linearities appear. Thus, for an accurate estimation, an unscented Kalman filter is promising. For serial elastic actuators, the deflection can be directly quantified on the compliant element using strain gauges. Another way is to detect the deformation of compliant elements using two angular encoders. All ways to sense the interaction torque are analyzed for a sinusoidal excitation.

Fault Diagnosis of Discrete Event Systems under Time Constraints 时间约束下离散事件系统的故障诊断

This paper is about the fault diagnosis of discrete event systems (DES) under time constraints. The DES contains a series of tasks with well-defined time intervals for each, collected during repetitive runs of the system. The repetitive runs allowed us to calculate average function time for each task. The objective is to propose an algorithm that verifies the correct behavior of each individual task within the system. To illustrate the principal of the algorithm, we will apply it with two concrete examples. This algorithm is easy to implement and operate, and is very useful for all types of systems.

A Distributed Intelligent Traffic System Using Ant Colony Optimization: A NetLogo Modeling Approach 基于蚁群优化的分布式智能交通系统:一种NetLogo建模方法

As vehicle population continues to increase, trafficmanagement and issues related to congestion is an inevitable consequence. The path taken by drivers to arrive at their destination has the tendency of reducing the traffic within the network or increasing it. The choice of path, however, depends on how much traffic information is available to the drivers at the time of deciding the path to take. It is, therefore, the desire of most drivers to have information on the status of traffic on the candidate routes to a destination. A Distributed Intelligent Traffic System (DITS) which uses Ant Colony Optimization(ACO) to solve the traffic problem is presented in this paper. The DITS is implemented in NetLogo and simulated while studying traffic factors such as average travel speed, average waiting time of cars and the number of stopped cars in queue. Ten separate cases of the simulation have been considered for two scenarios of the DITS, one with ACO and the other without ACO. The average speed for the ACO case was found to be higher in all 10 cases and the average waiting time and the number of stopped cars were lower for the ACO case than the case without ACO, which is the preferred result.

Ten separate cases of the simulation have been considered for two scenarios of the DITS, one with ACO and the other without ACO. Performance Comparison of CAODV, SEARCH, and WCETT Routing Protocols in CRAHNs 网络中CAODV、SEARCH和WCETT路由协议的性能比较

Cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) can efficiently utilize the spectrum in an opportunistic way by dynamically accessing different licensed portions of the spectrum. In CRAHNs, which operate without centralized management, data routing is one of the most important issues to be taken into account and requires intensive study. This paper analyzes three of the most common CRAHN routing protocols, namely, Cognitive Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (CAODV), SpEctrum Aware Routing protocol for Cognitive ad-Hoc networks (SEARCH), and Weighted Cumulative Estimation of Transmission Time (WCETT). The analysis is carried out using NS-2 simulator to evaluate and compare the network performance in terms of packet delivery ratio (PDR), end-to-end delay, hop count, and routing overhead under the same environment conditions with varying number of nodes to study the effect of nodes density and traffic load. Simulation results show that the performance of SEARCH is better than CAODV and WCETT in terms of PDR with little increased overhead, average end-to-end delay, and hop count compared to CAODV because of its better route selection strategy in CRAHNs.

Fuzzy Analysis and Simulations for Emergency Hospital Performance in Post-Disaster 灾后急救医院绩效的模糊分析与仿真

In order to establish an effective collaboration between post-disaster management systems (PDMS) and individuals for data sharing, appropriate agreements with a timely response for the need of these individuals must be adopted. Such agreements will increase their willingness to participate in this process. Additionally establishing an appropriate relationship between governments, private and academic sectors will lead to better utilization of their capabilities (e.g. national mapping agencies) and allow PDMS to acquire plenty of data from the disaster response. Fuzzy factors analysis on matrix type dataset is to conduct a subdataset indexing by some indices using fuzzy transformation; the survey dataset in this paper were processed by fuzzy factors analysis, In order to conduct sub-dataset indexing by some indices using fuzzy transformation, it is necessary to use fuzzy factor analyst on matrix type dataset.
