For industrial applications, Bidirectional DC-DC converters (BDCs) are used in recent years. And also their efficiency results are improved to apply different control methods. ANN algorithms is one of the new control topic in literature. This paper attempts to improve the dynamic performance of bidirectional dc-dc converter. And it deals with a novel control scheme related with an adaptive input voltage control by using ANN algorithms based on SOM. Firstly, adaptive input voltages are classified by ANN algorithms (SOM, SVM, FF) and the best suitable and proposed ANN algorithm is SOM which is selected for this controller. The best efficiency case is selected in this algorithm. Then, the voltage values are predicted. This voltage values are used in simulation models. Thus, the proposed system works both effective and high efficiency. Theoretical analysis and simulation results obtained from an actual industrial network model in PSCAD verify the viability and effectiveness of the proposed Bidirectional DC-DC Converter (BDC).

In recent years, composite right left hand transmission line (CRLH-TL) metamaterials have been the subject of research interest for many applications. In this paper, a simple and efficient genetic algorithm method is adopted for tuning the LC-parameters of composite right-left hand transmission line (CRLH-TL) metamaterial unit cell. The genetic algorithm is used with the pseudo-inverse method to get optimum solutions of the LC-parameters. Two different designs are implemented to evaluate the proposed algorithm for composite right-left hand transmission line metamaterial unit cell. The first design represents symmetric T-network at the frequency of 10 GHz, and the second design represents symmetric π network at the frequency of 5.5 GHz. In this work we report exactly balanced designs obtained with simple computations.

Data characteristics stored in the database evolve over the time. Nowadays, it is inevitable to store all states of the objects over the time. Paradigms of conventional database are based on managing actual states, which are inappropriate. Therefore, temporal approach has been developed. In this paper, we deal with our proposed temporal solution based on attribute level architecture, which can be used effectively, if the granularity of the attribute change frequency is not the same. Another aspect of the data stored in the database is based on security, therefore, it is necessary to provide access to the data and perform changes only by privileged users. This requirement is mostly provided by the triggers. Multiple trigger characteristics influenced by individual clauses can be declared. Therefore, decision and development must be based on suitability and correctness to provide best performance. In this paper, we define clauses for triggers and compare performance.

Ultra Wideband has a long list of qualities, whichmake it an emerging transmission technology for the wirelesssensor network. In our previous work, it was used insimulation labs under Pilot Signal Assisted MAC algorithmwith prominent results. After the successful implementationunder simulation platform, it was decided to test itseffectiveness on real (hardware based) test bed so its actualperformance could be based line. In this paper, we haveevaluated framework's performance on the real test bed undera project "SMART Incubator". For the better performancejudgment, the results were compared with the simulationresults. The outcomes of practical implementation prove thatimpulse radio based PA-MAC framework is an effective andadaptable solution for wireless sensor network.

In this paper, we describe a novel game-theoretic formulation of the optimal mobile agents placement problem which arises in the context of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). In particular, we consider two classes of multistage games: sequential and simultaneous. For such games, the definitions of the Nash equilibria and the cooperative solution are given. The described games exhibit a number of interesting features. For instance, the Nash equilibrium may turn out to be unattainable in both a simultaneous and a sequential game. In this case, the game dynamics may exhibit the behaviour similar to that of a limit cycle albeit in a discrete space. A modelling environment for the analysis of different strategies of the players was developed in MATLAB. The programme generates various game situations and determines each players move by solving respective optimisation problems. Using the developed environment, two specific game scenarios were considered in detail.

Few trends in education in the last century match the sudden onset of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The modern MOOC movement started in late 2011, when the first standard MOOC was launched. In few years, MOOCs have received immense coverage in media, academia and industry. MOOCs have established one of the key facts that education is no longer a privilege but a basic right. Students can learn any imaginable subject from the world's top professors and industry experts. Massive online courses have also increased interest in online learning. Current online learning is a classic disruptive innovation as it is economical and of high quality. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the state of the art in MOOCs since the IEEE CS Report 2022 was made public.

This work presents a new topology for the matchingnetworks of an underwater wireless power transfer system.A class-D driver is used in resonance at fundamental and third harmonic frequencies. The double resonance helps reducing the reverse voltage stress at the diode rectifier. We present the analytical derivation of the proposed network and demonstrate the design procedure with an example. We also show that additional degrees of freedom can be acquired with the proposed topology, which improves the design space for time-varying operation conditions of our application, such as the load changing when a battery is being recharged. The performanceof our topology is compared to most conventional approaches, such as the series-series and series-parallel networks, revealing a good compromise between power delivery and efficiency across a wide load range.

In power systems, the intensive use of nonlinear loads causes several power quality problems such as current harmonic pollution. In order to reduce the current harmonic pollution, the shunt hybrid active filter (SHAPF) is the best solutions effectively. In shunt hybrid active filter systems SHAPFs, the design of dc link controller is a significant and challenging task due to its impact on the performance and stability of the overall system. The main contribution of this paper is that the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is applied gains for PI controller which can result in the improved response in terms of response time and overshoot. In proposed control method, the performance results of harmonic compensation are satisfactory. Theoretical analyses and simulation results are obtained from an actual industrial network model in PSCAD. The simulation results are presented for proposed system in order to demonstrate that the harmonic compensation performance meets the IEEE-519 standard.

The operation of insurance companies accumulates several risks that should be managed. One of the risk management and containment types is reinsurance. Risks related to reinsurance are the following: fluctuation risk, risk of errors, risk of change, risk of prediction and assessment, subjective risk, and premium delay risk. Reinsurance as the limiting type of fluctuation risk is a transaction, under which one insurance company (reinsurer) agrees to indemnify to another insurance company (transferor) all or part of the losses identified under the insurance policy or a group of insurance policies issued, and for risk mitigation the transferor pays the premium to the reinsurer. The object of the paper is the minimisation of insurance risks. The main overall goal of reinsurance is to protect the insurance company from considerable claims or a lot of claims and to maintain sufficient capital ratio of insurance companies. The goal is modelling of the insurance process and computer realisation of the algorithm for minimisation of financial risks in insurance

The paper presents both an intelligent approach to better management of pedestrian flows by means of a mobile application and a simulation model to asses this approach. The proposed concept is supposed to be used at heritage sites, which are overloaded by tourists, and which have a number of potential attractions within a walking distance. The proposed approach assumes to use data of a number of visitors at particular attractions to suggest application users the best attractions to visit next. To evaluate the proposed idea, an agent-based simulation model is developed. The model allows evaluating how introduction of such application among a number of visitors allows reducing waiting times in queues to frequently overloaded attractions. The structure of the simulation model and behaviour of agents in the model are described in details. The positive and negative sides of the proposed concept are determined through simulation experiments and discussed.
