All Optic Control in Si Photonics 硅光子学中的全光控制

We propose a simple concept of optical heater in Si photonics, which enables all optic control via thermo-optic effect. We confirmed that the heating efficiency of the optical heater is better than electrical heater.

We proposed a semi-supervised confidence-based learning approach (SCALA) to overcome the high-temporal-variability of multimode fiber (MMF) information channels, and experimentally demonstrated continuous transmission of high-spatial-density information with accuracy close to 100% over different MMFs.

We demonstrate 93-Gbaud PAM transmission with or without nonlinear differential coding in O-band experiment with 10-dB bandwidth of 32 GHz, in which the coding scheme realizes the lower Kullback-Leibler divergence and the higher NGMI.

We evaluate phase-noise tolerance of high-order modulation/demodulation methods assuming their use in intra-datacenter networks. We measure and analyze the bit error rates and eye diagrams of the optical stressed Si-Ge avalanche photodiode at 32 Gb/s NRZ operation. The results illustrate the requirements of the optical signal-to-noise ratio for high-density optical links.
