Comparison of two vehicle detection methods based on the oriented gradients histogram and the deep neural network 基于方向梯度直方图和深度神经网络的两种车辆检测方法的比较

In this article, we present two approaches to mobile object recognition in a real-time video scene. The first method is based on deep learning to detect moving objects. The second method is based on extracting the HOG characteristics associated with each object. The results obtained by these two methods are interesting in the detection of moving objects. For both approaches, the classification phase is done by the Alexnet neuron network.

Computer Graphics for Generating Islamic Geometric Periodic and Quasi-periodic Patterns 生成伊斯兰几何周期和准周期图案的计算机图形学

We present a simple method for constructing patterns of Islamic geometric art. The method allows creating a parameterized set of motifs within a fundamental region of a periodic pattern. The constructed template motif will undergo the inner symmetries of a chosen symmetry group to obtain the content of the unit cell. The whole pattern is obtained by applying several linearly independent translations to the generated unit motif. We show how this method can be adapted to construct Islamic quasi-periodic patterns.

Analyzing Factors that Affecting College Students' Choice of Online English Training Courses 影响大学生选择网络英语培训课程的因素分析

The application of online learning has changed the traditional English learning mode, in which college students are the percipient of this change. Taking the TOEFL and IELTS online courses as examples, this paper chooses the college students as the research subject. By questionnaire survey and statistical factor analysis, four key factors affecting students' choice of off-campus online English learning are found out and defined, which are ‘course demand and quality’, “communication quality”, “teaching support”, “learning cost and time” through. On this basis, this paper puts forward suggestions for the optimization of online English learning.

Feature-Extraction Methods for Lung-Nodule Detection: A Comparative Deep Learning Study 肺结节检测的特征提取方法:比较深度学习研究

Feature extraction has become a prerequisite step in computer vision problems, its importance resides in extracting significant hidden features from data, to help machine learning algorithms reach higher performance. Feature extraction techniques were behind the breakthrough in deep learning era, by providing relevant features. Deep learning architectures have overcome the state of the art in many different computer vision fields. In this work we are going to discuss and compare the accuracy of various global feature extraction methods, using deep learning for lung nodule detection. The experimental results show that feature extraction with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) outperforms the other methods including restricted boltzmann machines (RBMs).

Social Media Reputation and Political Popularity: Study of a Moroccan Case 社交媒体声誉与政治声望:一个摩洛哥案例研究

Popularity is one of the key reasons for the electoral success of a politician and his party. Discovering the reasons behind a political notoriety leads inevitably to the constitution of a stable and perennial political class. The present work seeks to measure, using a mixed method, the Facebook trust ratings of a political figure in Morocco, taking advantage of the huge amounts of information that big data are overflowing with, especially data arisen from social networking services, which have recently become a promising opportunity and an ingenious tool for extracting and exploring public opinion. This research has collected and examined 6 million of posts and comments about the head of Moroccan government in 2016. This study sought to identify the key reasons behind the Facebook popularity of this politician and his party. This contribution is intended to be multidisciplinary, both useful for policymakers, data mining experts and opinion analysts to explore public trends and inclinations.

Educational Approaches Of Simulation Learning In A Virtual 3d Environment Close To Reality 贴近现实的虚拟三维环境中模拟学习的教学方法

Distributed simulation with a virtual environment of quality is a qualified teaching solution, especially in the military field. A soldier's performance will be better if deployed preferably in a known combat space. This article deals, with a comparative study, the performance of two teams in training with two different simulation methods. One based on simulation in an imaginary virtual battlefield and the other on that existing in reality. The research and the results of this study represent the new approach of dynamic invention of real ground established, during the research carried out during the realization of a distributed simulator of combat for soldiers training on shooting techniques. This new method aims to provide trainees with a virtual combat space existing in reality and presenting the best results and performance and based on geographic information systems (GIS), some 3D modeling tools and 3D engines in this case the 3D Unity engine.

Band structure and photonic band gap in comb-like structure asymmetric with left-handed materials 非对称左手材料梳状结构的能带结构和光子带隙

We investigate the dispersion relations through an infinite structure and the transmission coefficient of an asymmetric comb-like structure composed of periodic waveguides with right-handed material RHM, along a finite waveguide with two different resonators of different lengths. These resonators composed of left-handed material LHM, grafted onto N equidistant sites. We study special dispersion curves, which do not cover the whole first Brillouin area, although some values of wave vector k are without propagative modes. We study also the effect of the number and the lengths of the asymmetrical resonators on the behavior of the band gaps. This considered structure provides good information for the design of adjustable wide band gaps filters with high performance.

Deep morphological gradient for recognition of Arabic alphabets 用于识别阿拉伯字母的深度形态梯度

The recognition of Arabic handwritten characters by deep learning algorithms has experienced a remarkable movement in the last three years. This change can enrich the field of optical character recognition (OCR). We present in this project a deep morphological gradient for the handwritten characters recognition problem of the Arabic language based on a multilayer perceptron architecture (MLP) preceded by the morphological gradient algorithm to detect the outlines of the alphabets. This model is applied to the database of Arabic manuscript characters available on Kaggle which consists of 16,800 images. The classification accuracy of the model was 99.9% with a very minimum loss of 0.3%.

The Learning Task Within Serious Games Simulation: Theoretical Model of Interactive Scenarisation 严肃游戏模拟中的学习任务:互动场景化的理论模型

The new purpose of the “teacher/accompanying person” at Hassan Ist University is to accompany the learner to be auto-effective regarding learning and communication according to his project of learning. The classic modes of teaching and the classic methodologies of researches on this topic are outdated. The present article so tells our experience in a contextualized way, our methodological repositioning before explaining the steps of a theoretical model which re-configures the phase of the production to favor an accompaniment stimulating the auto-efficacy of the learner. The Training Games and Simulation environment is a better solution for this circumstance. The scenarisation tasks in this type of game is a major issue for the development of self-efficacy; and that will be the goal of this communication.

Design and simulation of PV/electrolyser system for smart, green and efficient residential building in Morocco 摩洛哥智能、绿色、高效住宅光伏/电解槽系统设计与仿真

The aim of this study is to assess the feasibility of a PV/electrolyser system to satisfy the needs of a typical Moroccan house from an energetic point of view for a smart building. To this end, we conducted a simulation of the performance for a PV installation that can fit in the roof of a 100 m2 typical Moroccan house in order to satisfy its energy requirements. The excess of electricity is used for the hydrogen production, which is stored and then used to cover the demands for periods when there is no electricity available from the installation. The results show that an installation of a capacity of 11.5 kWp with an area of 71.4 m2 can produce 8.699 MWh under the climate of Benguerir, Morocco. In addition, an excess of energy of 1.972 MWh can be achieved. This excess if used by a smart energy system can cover the demand especially for days when the electricity from the PV installation is not enough.
