Marriage is a complex step in human lifecycle. This is not only a form of obligation to fulfill religious orders, but part of the culture and social layers of society that still need to regenerate and improve community development to stay vibrant. This article reveals the uniqueness of the Metu Telu tradition, which strongly upholds the values of marriage. There are two important points in interpreting the marriage tradition of Metu Telu; [1], how is marriage in the Metu Telu tradition prevailing in Tanjung, North Lombok Regency? [2], how is the marriage tradition of Metu Telu interpreted as a local tradition that has aesthetic values? Clifford Geertz, in his work ‘The Interpretation of Culture’ become an analytical tool in interpreting the wedding traditions of the Metu Telu community. This study uses qualitative methods in deepening and strengthening the data analysis. The result of the study shows that; tradition is a social action that includes symbols and gives birth to community identity. The meaning of tradition has historical value that will not be eroded by time. The meaning of wedding tradition of Metu Telu is a symbol of the cultural strength of the local community that is not affected by modern culture. Subjective meaning can lead to inter-subjects that have universal value if the interpretation process is based on local wisdom.

This study aims to determine the effect of metacognition and scientific attitudes of family partners in forming a sakinah family. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative, which is done by measuring each research variable, then analyzing and describing it so that it is easy to understand. The technique of collecting data is done by survey. Surveys were carried out on all samples in the study to measure metacognition, scientific attitude, and success in forming a sakinah mawaddah warahmah family. The population of this study is women who are grouped into two categories: 1) career women (who work in offices/employees), 2) unemployed women (especially those taking care of the family) in the city of Jambi with a total sample of 100 (50 people in each sample group) taken at random. The instrument used in this study was a set of 30 questions. The answers were measured by respondents using a Likert scale. Dataanalysis was carried out using SPSS 16 software. The results showed thatmetacognition ability significantly affects the ability to form a sakinah mawaddah warahmah family with a sig. 0.012 (career women group) and 0.000 (non-career women group). As for the scientific attitude test, career women obtained 0.031 0.05, and non-career women obtained 0.019 0.05. It shows that scientific attitude significantly affects their ability to form a sakinah mawaddah warahmah family. The F test also shows that the two variables jointly affect the ability to form a sakinah mawadah warahmah family

This paper aims to provide an explanation regarding the interpretation of religious radicalism, the dangers of religious radicalism in higher education, as well as the views of Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama on religious radicalism. This research uses a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach. This paper shows the results that in the results of the pretest understanding of religious radicalism in undergraduate students of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, UMY still have an insufficient understanding or around 66.3%. After being given an explanation regarding the material for understanding radicalism, the posttest showed different results, namely rising to 94% of students understanding the meaning and dangers of radicalism in the higher education environment. This shows that undergraduate students of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, UMY have a complete understanding of religious radicalism. It is hoped that students will have shields so that they are not exposed to the virus of religious radicalism that attacks the university environment. Several steps in efforts to prevent radicalism in the tertiary environment include understanding religious moderation in lectures, holding religious discussions, and preventive and rehabilitative measures.

This research aims to explore the belief system that serves as a disaster mitigation strategy in preserving the local wisdom of the Baduy tribe. It is a qualitative study conducted through data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the Baduy tribe, residing in the Kendeng Mountains of Banten, faces an uneven and disaster-prone environment, including landslides, floods, forest fires, and environmental degradation. The belief system embraced by the Baduy tribe is known as “Sunda Wiwitan.” It is characterized by the presence of “pikukuh” which serves as a guidelinefor the community’s interaction with the natural environment. These “pikukuh” consist of rules that emphasize the importance of preserving the natural environment without any alteration. The philosophy contained within the “pikukuh” includes statements such as “Lojor teu menunang dipotong, pondok teu meunang disambung”, “Gunung teu meunang dilebur, lebak teu meunang di rusak”, and “Buyut teu meunang dirobah, larangan teu meunang dirempak.” Each of these philosophies teaches the importance of preserving the environment as a form of disaster mitigation for the Baduy tribe.

This paper examines human integrity from the perspective of local religion of Sunda Wiwitan in Cigugur, Kuningan, West Java, Indonesia. We collected research data using qualitative research strategies through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and literature research. The complexity of humanity is explored and internalized by various groups, including indigenous peoples. Human integrity occurs when there is unity between the physical and spiritual aspects. The physicaland spiritual aspects of a healthy and harmonious human being are a marker for humanity that is human (homo humanum) and even has a divine dimension (homo religious). The core of the construction of human integrity in the Sunda Wiwitan Religious Ethics is when there is an attitude of “silih”, or “saling”, i.e, reciprocated acts of kindness toward each other. This attitude is further described as an attitude or behavior of making each other fragrant or silih wangi. This means that humans (must) protect each other’s reputation and do well to others, and that they are motivated to eliminate each other’s weaknesses or shortcomings; humans show themutual behavior of silih asah (meaning that humans educate one another, are willing to share knowledge, understanding, and skills); humans show a mutual caring behavior or silih asuh (humans protect one another, give to each other, help each other in need and distress); humans love one another or showing the behavior of silih asih. This local wisdom related to Sunda Wiwitan humanism is increasingly relevant for today’s global society in reflecting on the meaning and essence of humanity.

One principle in every Thareqah and deep flow understanding of Sufism that has not been discussed, though it has been attached to various Tarekat flows, both classical and modern, is solidarity social. The present study aims to investigate the solidarity social and identity religious order of Khalwatiyah Samman. By applying a qualitative case study, the data was collected through depth-interview, observation, and documentation review. The study participants applied a purposive technique by pre-determining the participants’ characteristics to obtain the data. The results show that the Congregation of the Khalwatiyah Samman, Maros, represents solidarity social-based Islamic spiritualism. The harmony between the members is the main characteristic of the community. Pilgrims’ submission to the caliph figure becomes socially fundamental for integrity and harmony to prevent disintegration. Two fundamental factors maintain this charismatic leadership, genealogy and scientific genealogy. Both give legitimacy to a caliph’s leadership in a Tarekat. People who want to join the community must pass the first and essential stage, Bai’at. Some stages follow it to maintain solidarity, such as congregational prayer, recitation, and other wider activities. The Congregation of Khalwatiyah Samman is symbolically characterized by wearing a Turban. The Turban has its own story and philosophical value itself. The study implies information on social integration from various stratum and public differences based on spirituality.

⎯ The increase in the achievement of the Human Development Index cannot be separated from the improvement of each of its constituent components. Currently, the components of the HDI also show an increase from year to year. To be able to participate in the development process, of course, Indonesian people are needed who are not only superior in terms of quantity, but also superior in terms of quality. HDI is used as a tool to achieve national goals, so that many things are related between humans and the development around them. This is to find out what factors can affect the HDI in East Java so that the provincial government can pay attention to several programs which can later be used to continue to maintain and improve development so that it can become an achievement for the Province of East Java. One of the analyzes that can be used is modeling, one of which is regression analysis. Nonparametric regression is a regression that is flexible in use because it can find its own data pattern. One of the truncated spline approaches to nonparametric regression can be used to predict the Human Development Index (HDI). HDI and several factors that influence it will be estimated at various knot points to get the best model. In the Spline Truncated nonparametric regression modeling which is applied to HDI data in East Java Province in 2021 several knot points are tried, namely 1 knot point, 2 knot point, and 3 knot point. The results obtained showed that the best model was found in the 3 knots experiment with a minimum GCV value of 5.40 and an R2 value of 89.875%.
