Computer animation based on artificial life and artificial intelligence: the research of artificial fish 基于人工生命和人工智能的计算机动画:人工鱼的研究

In this paper, self-reproduction characteristic of artificial life is introduced to computer animation. A self-reproduction model of artificial fish based on gene control is put forward and built. Based on artificial fish's phenotype, the contents of its chromosome are given. Based on this model, heredity rules are given. Artificial fish could reproduce and grow in the virtual marine environment freely controlled by the gene model and rules. Artificial behaviors include predefined behaviors and nondeterminate behaviors. Cognitive models based on Artificial Intelligence is put forward and built to control behaviors of artificial fish in high level. Simulation program is designed and developed based on all these models built above. These made groundwork to improve the efficiency and automatic level of artificial fish animation.

Strategies for multi-asset surveillance 多资产监控策略

This paper describes our "sandbox" for the study of multi-asset surveillance, and explores the performance of rule-based control strategies on this task. In order to maximize the probability of detection of targets of interest, it is assumed that the team of unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) must provide maximum sensory coverage of the terrain. We demonstrate, however, both through simulation and mathematical analysis, that this is not always the case.

Intelligent infrastructures in a changing environment: innovation and evolution of industry-infrastructure networks 变化环境中的智能基础设施:工业基础设施网络的创新与演变

In the past decades the advancement of measurement and control techniques have enabled 'intelligent' on-line control and optimisation of large-scale, complex industry and infrastructure systems. It appears, however, that these techniques predominantly have been developed and employed for systems with fixed boundaries, where system content and structure or system behaviour is relatively well-known or predictable. The continuity because of prosperity of many a company today depends on effective automation and control of single industrial facilities, on the optimisation of industrial complexes and the availability and reliability of responsive, flexible infrastructures for energy, utilities and information. Today, in many an industry ICT severely impacts the business environment and the development and design of novel industrial facilities and complexes. The evolution of industry at regional level increasingly is influenced by infrastructure availability. Modern ICT infra, for example, may enable completely new industrial and infrastructure organisation and design concepts, such as distributed generation and manufacturing. In the paper, a framework is presented for modelling and understanding industry-infrastructure coevolution, and implications for the development, design and use of intelligent infrastructure techniques employed.

PI/PID based multi-objective control design: an ILMI approach 基于PI/PID的多目标控制设计:ILMI方法

In many real world control problems, we have to follow several control objectives, simultaneously. At the same time, it is usually desirable to meet all specified goals using the controllers with simple structures such as proportional-integral (PI) and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) which are useful in industry applications. Since, practically these controllers are commonly tuned based on classical or trial-and-error approaches, they are incapable of obtaining good dynamical performance to capture all design objectives and specification. With regard to above problem, this paper addresses a new method to design of multi-objective PI/PID controller. For this purpose, first the multi-objective control design is reduced to an H/sub 2//H/sub /spl infin// static output feedback control synthesis, and then the control parameters are easily carried out using an iterative linear matrix inequalities (ILMI) algorithm. As a numerical example, the proposed method is applied to a multi-area power system to design a set of PI-based robust load frequency controllers.

Energy cost of coordination algorithms for wireless mobile sensor networks 无线移动传感器网络协调算法的能量消耗

Wireless mobile sensor networks are becoming increasingly popular. They mostly consist of low-cost mobile platforms equipped with sensors and an on-board battery. Energy consumption is therefore typically one of the main factors that needs to be addressed during the deployment. Communication accounts for much of the energy expenditures in a sensor network. The goal of this paper is to establish lower bounds on energy cost due to communication for several robot coordination schemes. In particular, we study how the energy cost changes with the number of mobile nodes in the wireless network, and we compare a peer-to-peer communication model with a multicast system.

The performance of index fundamentally affects the result of retrieval in search engine. An inverted index scheme is proposed to solve the frequent update in topic-focused search engine. Compared with the singularity of traditional index architecture, this scheme is comprised of main inverted index, append inverted index, and deleted file list, fitting for the frequent update problem of index.

In this paper, a new definition on degree of greyness of grey numbers is put forward based on an axiom system for the degree of greyness. According to the definitions of the "composed" grey number, several theorems on the relationship of degree of greyness of the "composed" grey numbers with the degree of greyness of each grey number that be used for composition have been proved.

Dynamic flow control and analysis on unicast and multicast architecture networks 单播和组播结构网络的动态流量控制与分析

With the proliferation of multicast service in the Internet, much attention has been put upon multicast congest control. Multicast traffic poses new challenges to the design of Internet congestion control protocols and system stability analysis. In this paper, we focus on the feedback-based sessions rate control problem on the combination of unicast and multirate multicast traffic architecture networks. Firstly, fairness problem is discussed in detail and reasonable consumption strategy is proposed. Scaling functions are adaptively adjusted based on relationship of session rates. Secondly, in the case of link capacities available for feedback-based unicast and multicast sessions, stability analysis of closed loop system under the modified rate mechanism is made based on Lyapunov stable theory. Finally, the simulations demonstrate the effectiveness and goodness of reasonable consumption strategy.

An iterative deadlock prevention policy for flexible manufacturing systems using Petri nets 基于Petri网的柔性制造系统的迭代死锁预防策略

This paper develops a deadlock prevention policy for flexible manufacturing systems, which is based on iterative control of elementary siphons of Petri nets. Elementary siphons are a special topology structure of Petri nets. The number of them is bounded by the smaller of the place count and transition count in a Petri net. Siphons in a plant net model are first divided into elementary and dependent ones. Then a control place or monitor is added, for each elementary siphon, to make it invariant-controlled, while making dependent ones controlled as well. This implies that not all of the siphons need to explicitly control by adding monitors. Compared with existing methods that need to explicitly control all strict minimal siphons, the deadlock-free or liveness-enforcing Petri net supervisor obtained is structurally simple and has a less number of additional places and arcs but with more permissive behavior. Finally, the method presented in this paper is illustrated with an example.

Siphons in a plant net model are first divided into elementary and dependent ones. Then a control place or monitor is added, for each elementary siphon, to make it invariant-controlled, while making dependent ones controlled as well. This implies that not all of the siphons need to explicitly control by adding monitors. Compared with existing methods that need to explicitly control all strict minimal siphons, the deadlock-free or liveness-enforcing Petri net supervisor obtained is structurally simple and has a less number of additional places and arcs but with more permissive behavior. Reconciling hierarchical control and open access in the changing electric power industry 在不断变化的电力工业中协调分层控制和开放访问

In this paper we briefly review the basic concepts and assumptions underlying hierarchical control of large-scale electric power systems. In the second part we pose the problem of open access electricity service. As the electric power industry restructures, and various disruptive technologies evolve, it becomes necessary to introduce new models for representing and managing the evolving systems. The emphasis in this paper is on basic information needs for implementing flexible and efficient open access electricity service according to well-defined objectives. In today's literature two extreme information structures are most often considered, i.e. either a fully integrated, or a fully decentralized information structures. Integrated structures do not allow for decentralized decision making, and the decentralized structures have a hard-to-predict performance. To overcome these fundamental problems, we consider in this paper a hybrid information framework which facilitates decentralized decision making by various industry layers; these decisions are then coordinated in minimal ways capable of guaranteeing performance of the system as a whole according to the desired criteria. Multilayered protocols for implementing such hybrid information framework are described. Some recent results are put in the context of the problem of interest, and further open questions are identified. The concepts presented in this paper are potentially generalizable to other network-type infrastructures.
