El vino tiene una larga historia y multiples facetas: religiosas, ludicas, sociales y economicas. En este ultimo aspecto se centrara nuestro trabajo, concretamente en la produccion y el comercio de esta exitosa bebida psicotropica, y en su consideracion como elemento cultural de primer orden enraizado en los pueblos del suroeste peninsular desde la mas remota antiguedad. Tratando de ofrecer una imagen forzosamente general de la informacion disponible, expondremos de forma sintetica y diacronica los conocimientos ya establecidos, a los que se sumaran las aportaciones realizadas en los ultimos anos, senalando las limitaciones (documentales y metodologicas) con las que aun se enfrenta la investigacion a la hora de abordar esta tematica. Abstract Wine has a long history and multiple facets: religious, recreational, social and economic. Our work will focused on this last aspect, specifically on the production and trade of this successful psychotropic drink, and its consideration as a cultural element of first order rooted in the southwest peninsular people from the remotest antiquity. Trying to offer a general image of the available information, we will present in a synthetic and diachronic way the already established knowledge, to which will be added the contributions made in recent years. Finally, we will point out the limitations (documentary and methodological) that research still faces in addressing this subject.

El Derecho romano durante el Bajo Imperio, compilado en buena medida en el Codex Theodosianus, contemplo numerosas sanciones que implicaban la utilizacion de este metal pesado de facil fundicion. Entre las mismas, destacarian especialmente los azotes con flagelos que incluian bolas de plomo y la ingesta de plomo fundido. El objetivo esencial del presente articulo reside en la indagacion sobre los procedimientos, las causas de las condenas y la naturaleza de los condenados, sin perder de vista el marco historico que determina toda esta documentacion de caracter juridico. Asimismo, se persigue una explicacion congruente sobre las consecuencias que podrian generar este tipo de torturas y ejecuciones, haciendo hincapie en su condicion disuasoria. Abstract Roman Law in the Late Empire, compiled to a large extent in the Codex Theodosianus, contemplated numerous sanctions that involved the use of this easily melted heavy metal. Among them, the scourging with lead whips and the intake of molten lead would especially stand out. The essential objective of this article will be the investigation about the procedures, the causes of the convictions and the nature of the condemned, without losing sight of the historical framework that determines all this legal documentation. Likewise, a consistent explanation is sought about the consequences that this type of torture and executions could generate, emphasizing its dissuasive condition.

En el Senado siempre hubo individuos que se opusieron a Octavio y varios de ellos llegaron a conspirar contra el. Tras el confinamiento de Lepido del ambito politico, lo cual hizo que quedaran Antonio y Octavio frente a frente, este ultimo fue objeto de varias conspiraciones. Esta forma de oposicion mas violenta es la que predomina en el relato de las fuentes clasicas, que recogen importantes datos para conocer las relaciones entre el Senado y el princeps. Sin embargo, de entre ellas, hay un hecho particular que llama la atencion, ya que se trata de un caso de oposicion no violenta y que llega a ser ensalzado en las fuentes (Tac., Ann., 3, 75), representado por el jurista Marco Antistio Labeon. En primer lugar, para abordar el tema recopilaremos los casos anteriores a Antistio Labeon que se opusieron a Augusto y haremos un breve perfil biografico del personaje. Finalmente, indagaremos en los casos en los que Labeon mostro su oposicion a la figura de Augusto. This form of more violent opposition is the one that predominates in the ensemble of the classic sources, which collect important data to know the relations between the Senate and the princeps. However, among them, there is a particular fact that attracts attention, since it is a case of non-violent opposition and that it becomes extolled at the sources (Tac., Ann., 3, 75), represented by the jurist Marcus Antistius Labeo. To address the issue, first, we will collect the cases before Antistius Labeo which opposed Augustus and make a brief biographical profile of the character. Finally, we will investigate the cases in which Labeo showed his opposition to the figure of Augustus.

En el presente estudio nos proponemos analizar como se relaciona el ambito de la guerra, elemento muy presente en la Historia de Herodoto, con la masculinidad y la feminidad. A priori parece que la guerra es un universo esencialmente masculino en el mundo griego, pero en la Historia distintas mujeres adoptan rasgos de la masculinidad e intervienen en la guerra asumiendo distintos papeles que las diferencian dentro del relato del historiador. Estos roles, ademas, responden a unos modelos arquetipicos que podemos encontrar en el relato mitico y/o tragico. En este caso, nos centraremos en el personaje de Artemisia, claramente asimilable a la diosa Atenea. Abstract In the present study we propose to analyze how the aspect of war, a very present element in the Histories of Herodotus, is related with masculinity and feminity. A priori it seems that war is an essentially male universe in the Greek world but in the Histories several women adopt traits of masculinity and participate in the war assuming different roles which differentiate them within the story of the historian. These roles, furthermore, answer to archetypal models which can be found in mythical or tragic tales. In this particular case, we will focus on Artemisia, clearly assimilated to the goddess Athena.
