Se pone de relieve, en base al estudio del original mosaico romano de los Amores de Cástulo, la existencia de un posible taller en Jaén durante el siglo II, como ocurre en otros lugares de la Bética, sin descartar el influjo que pueda tener de otras provincias romanas. Con ello lo encuadraríamos en la denominada «Escuela del Medio Guadalquivir» abriendo nuevas vías de investigación en este reciente y novedoso ámbito de estudio.In this paper we deal with the possibility of the existence of a mosaic workshop in Jaén during the second century, as it has been proved in other areas of Baetica. It could be inside the so called «Escuela del Medio Guadalquivir». In this way we contribute in opening new ways of studies in this recent research area of the local mosaic workshops.

El objetivo del artículo es profundizar en el modo en el que las comunidades hispanas construyeron la divinidad de los miembros de la dinastía Julio-Claudia mediante la consagración de sacerdocios cívicos de culto imperial. Concebidos los rituales en honor de la domus imperatoria como prácticas que reflejan la romanidad de sus participantes, se observa que, del mismo modo que la ‘romanitas’ de las provincias dejó de ser lo que los habitantes de la capital imperial entendían por dicha manifestación identitaria, el culto a la domus Augusta también se distanció del modelo que había nacido en la ciudad eterna con las consecrationes de los primeros divi y divae.The objective of the article is to delve into the way in which the Hispanic communities constructed the divinity of the members of the Julio-Claudia dynasty through the consecration of civic priesthoods of imperial cult. If the rituals in honor of the domus imperatoria are conceived as actions that reflect the romanness of its participants, it is observed that, just as the ‘romanitas’ of the provinces stopped being what the inhabitants of the imperial capital understood by this identity manifestation, the cult of the domus Augusta also distanced itself from the model that had been born in Rome with the consecrationes of the first divi and divae

Estudiamos una urna romana que se exhibe en el Museo Lázaro Galdiano de Madrid. Tiene una inscripción poética realizada en los primeros años del siglo XVII, inspirada en los poetas latinos de Re Rustica y de Historia Natural, texto latino considerado espurio por CIL 06, *3461. Hacemos un análisis iconográfico del monumento y un análisis filológico del poema, ofreciendo una nueva traducción del mismo. Se ofrecen imágenes inéditas de la urna.We studied a Roman urn that is exhibited at the Museo Lázaro Galdiano in Madrid. It has a poetic inscription made in the early years of the seventeenth century, inspired by the Latin poets of Re Rustica and Naturalis Historia. The Latin text of the inscription was rightly considered spurious by the CIL editors. We make an iconographic analysis of the monument and a philological analysis of the poem, offering a new translation of it. Unpublished images of the urn are offered, especially the epigraphic text.
