A study dedicated to Iulia Flavia, daughter of Tito Flavio through both literary, epigraphic, numismatic and iconographic sources. The evolution of his personality and image is analyzed in the three fundamental stages of his life: adolescence, youth in his evolution to maturity and, after his death, his consecratio as diua. Its possible projection and transcendence as a nexus and link between her predecessors, especially Livia, and the later ladies of the Aelia Antonina dynasty are also examined.

Desde el establecimiento del llamado «Edicto de Milán» en 313, el emperador Constantino pone en práctica un modelo de política religiosa basado en la tolerancia en la que su intervención, personal o delegada, desempeña un papel esencial en su mantenimiento. Los numerosos conflictos religiosos y desavenencias doctrinales protagonizadas por diferentes grupos cristianos precipitan el fracaso de la tolerancia y obligan a buscar nuevas soluciones. El empeño en lograr un consenso doctrinal que no menoscabase las atribuciones del emperador en la gestión y en el arbitraje de los asuntos religiosos, así como la intervención del poder civil en ámbitos de tradicional jurisdicción eclesiástica planteará un enfrentamiento con una parte de la Iglesia que, fiel a los principios doctrinales emanados del concilio de Nicea y al reconocimiento exclusivo de la autoridad episcopal, no se mostrará sumisa ante la estrategia del emperador para lograr el deseado consenso en materia religiosa.

espanolEl objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los contactos que tuvieron lugar desde la primera parte de la Edad del Bronce en el Egeo, el Mediterraneo oriental, el Levante y el Oriente Proximo con la isla de Creta y que incluyen la movilidad de gentes, objetos e ideas. Para ello es esencial rastrear en el registro arqueologico los hallazgos de la cultura material y las influencias que se detectan dentro de este sistema de redes de relaciones que se inicia en ese momento e incluso antes. Creta presenta determinadas caracteristicas que favorecen el desarrollo de un crecimiento sostenido, que permite la generacion de excedentes por encima del nivel de subsistencia a lo que se anade una situacion geografica unica al sur del Egeo y en el centro de un sistema de redes que conectan Anatolia, el Oriente Proximo, Egipto y Grecia continental. Por lo tanto, este sistema de redes favorece la movilidad de gentes y el intercambio de objetos, materias primas, innovaciones tecnologicas e ideas que llegan a la isla e impactan en sus elites favoreciendo el surgimiento del sistema palacial. EnglishThe aim of this paper is to analyse the interactions that took place from the Early Bronze Age onwards within the eastern Mediterranean, the Levant and Near East with the island of Crete including the mobility of people, objects and ideas. In this regard, it is essential to scrutinize the material culture and influences coming through these interactions in order to evaluate the data available as to date. The island of Crete, in the Bronze Age, presents several characteristics that favoured the development of a sustained growth: agriculturally advantageous territory capable of regional intensification and generation of surplus plus an excellent geographical situation, in the centre of an interaction network between Anatolia, Near East, Egypt and the Aegean. Thus, the interaction network, the mobility of people and the exchange of objects, undoubtedly had an impact in the inhabitants of the island, especially in the different elite groups producing the transmission of ideas and creating a form of cultural transmission.

La antigua Rusaddir ha sido objeto de una intensa investigación desde el descubrimiento y excavación del Cerro de San Lorenzo por parte de Rafael Fernández de Castro entre los años 1908-1916. A partir del rescate de una necrópolis con características únicas en el Mediterráneo antiguo, la identificación de referencias literarias en escritos clásicos y el descubrimiento de nuevas realidades arqueológicas en Melilla la Vieja, la antigua Rusaddir se ha convertido en un tema de reconsideración en el mundo académico, el cual trata de buscar su lugar y significancia histórica a partir de una labor historiográfica y arqueológica que ha dado sus frutos durante los últimos años. Rusaddir ha quedado, así, identificada como un asentamiento portuario en la Mauritania occidental que, en un momento dado, superó un determinado umbral de visibilidad arqueológica gracias a una serie de circunstancias en época romana alto-imperial que permitieron la integración económica y comercial de la ciudad en el Círculo del Estrecho.

The present work aims to analyze the political events that occurred in the Cyrenaican region in the last three decades of the 4th century BC, that is, the period between the Asian expedition of Alexander III of Macedonia and the incorporation of the Greek cities of the Cyrenaica in the Ptolemaic Kingdom. The geopolitical role of these border communities, between the Hellenic and the Punic worlds, in this context has not been analyzed in depth by historiography, beyond specific episodes prior to the Ptolemaic annexation at the end of the century. Therefore, our objective is providing an overview of the events without falling into generalities.

Siguiendo esta linea de trabajo, en el presente articulo incluimos tambien la formula carus (in) suis para ofrecer un panorama completo sobre el uso y funcion de estos epitetos en la epigrafia funeraria, asi como aportar relevantes datos sobre su aplicacion a determinados colectivos sociales, tanto por razones de estatus como por razones de edad. Asi mismo, se tratara de determinar la procedencia de estas formulas y si pueden ser empleadas o no como marcadores de identificacion estatutaria entre el colectivo de serviles.
