Yhann Pool Angelo Vallenas-Sánchez E-mail address: yvallenass1@upao.edu.pe The present study focuses on the use of phage cocktails as a substitute for antibiotics in companion animal dermatology. For this purpose, a systematic search was carried out in the Scopus database, with the search criteria: "veterinary" and "bacteriophage" and "dermatology" in article title, abstract and keywords during the period 20102021. Seven in vitro studies and one in vivo study in companion animals, for which those carried out in laboratory animals were added. In this review, the use of non-transducing lytic phage cocktails as therapeutics for pyodermas is discussed and projected, as well as the resistance to phages and the strategies to overcome it, the comparison with antibiotics, the use of cocktails in other animal species, as well as the use of individual phages and cocktails in veterinary dermatology, and autochthonous phages as a strategy when phage collections from previous studies do not have the desired effects. It is concluded that non-transducing lytic autophage cocktails are an alternative against antimicrobial resistance in companion animal dermatology. Finally, it is recommended to compare the use of these cocktails with other antibiotic substitutes and evaluate their possible synergism to reduce pathogenic bacteria on the skin.

The objective of the research was to identify the presence of larvae of the parasite Anisakis sp. in muscle of jack mackerel fish ( Trachurus symmetricus murphyi ) marketed in the city of Cajamarca - Peru. A total of 120 samples of different sizes and weights were collected from three main markets in the city of Cajamarca between May and July 2016, which were transported to the Laboratorio de Parasitología Veterinaria y Enfermedades Parasitarias de la FCV-UNC. Of the 120 samples analyzed, one larva (L 3 ) of the nematode parasite (0.83%) was found in one sample, which according to its morphological characteristics identified by microscopy corresponded to Anisakis sp. Therefore, we can conclude that positivity to Anisakis sp larvae is relatively low in jack mackerel fish marketed in the city of Cajamarca.

The objective of the research was to describe quantitative genetics and breeding principles in animals destined for livestock production. Economically important characteristics, such as body weight gain, egg, milk, and meat production rate are quantitative or metric typologies, traits with continuous variability. The action of addictive genes tends to originate a normal phenotypic distribution between the means of two progenitor populations, while multiplicative genes create geometric series governed by genes with multiplicative action. In addition, it should be considered that the most important factor in the creation of effective breeding techniques to optimize the genetic quality of animals is heritability, as they contain all types of gene action. In addition, parametric and non-para-metric methods offer us a solution that becomes helpful or appealing to the questions that arise from the research and testing of hypotheses that are presented, we should also mention the models that explain the action of genes, such as breeding value and selection and production ability. Animal producers apply selection following several criteria in parallel as mating methods (panmixia, inbreeding, and heterosis). Finally, the application of breeding processes leads to a sensible selection by mating with special intentions without restrictions
