There is now a growing need for improvement in health services provided in all health institutions. One possible strategy with this aim is to identify factors that may directly interfere with the quality of care and, therefore, determine the satisfaction of the user of this service . The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of satisfaction of postpartum women admitted to a maternity ward, taking into account the existing structure and services provided by the institution. This is an exploratory, descriptive research of quantitative nature developed at the Deodato Cartaxo maternity hospital, belonging to the Regional Hospital of Cajazeiras, located in the municipality of Cajazeiras, Paraiba State in Brazil. The population was composed of hospitalized puerperal women and the sample of 100 woman was performed for convenience, systematic of the proportional type with a sample error of 5%. The data collection period was between the months of august and september 2015. The instrument of data collection was SERVQUAL, evaluating its five quality indicators (tangibility, reliability, attendance, safety and empathy). The results were presented in table form with their respective absolute and relative frequencies. Among the indicators studied, reliability, care and security were the ones that generated the most satisfaction among the puerperal woman and tangibility was referred to as an indicator of dissatisfaction among the users. Keywords: Evaluation of health services; consumer satisfaction; maternities.

Vitamin D, conceptually, is a pre-hormone. Many studies have shown that the vitamin D deficiency may be associated to a higher incidence of autoimmune diseases, including Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. So, this work’s purpose is identify what the scientific literature approaches about the vitamin D, highlighting its immunomodulatory role with the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. We used the article survey that ran upon the subject in the Medline, Scielo and Lilacs databases with the descriptors: vitamin D, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and autoimmune disease. The selected articles pointed out higher prevalence in the vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency in Lupus patients. In these, the supplementation appeared to improve the disease activity and inflammatory markers and shows a tendency for subsequent clinical improvement. However, there is a lack of adequate intake guidelines. In this way, researches about the best dosage of vitamin D are needed for these patients in order to improve their condition.

Breast cancer is a very common pathology in the female environment, being the second largest cause of neoplasia in Brazil. Surgical treatment with mastectomy is seen as resolving in most cases, but breast reconstruction is crucial for improving the psychological aspects of the patient, since the removal of the breast without the oncoplastic can trigger emotional, stress and sadness problems. Breast reconstruction may be immediate, when performed in the postoperative period of the mastectomy, or late, when performed at any time postoperatively. The mastectomy, in isolation, can leave the patient with visible scars, aesthetic deformities in the breasts, causing greater psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, panic syndrome, distortion of body self-image, as well as sexual dysfunctions. Thus, there are still gaps in knowledge in the analysis of the psychological impact and, of course, new researches that analyze the psychological factor in mastectomized women with and without immediate breast reconstruction are crucial to better work the moment of vulnerability that these patients are going through. Keywords: Mastectomy; Breast cancer; Oncoplastic; Breast reconstruction; Psychological problems.

Currently, music therapy, as a low-cost therapeutic approach, has been successfully applied in palliative care patients, aiming to improve emotional stress and mood. Besides these advantages, the music therapy can influence the patient to have a better social interaction. In cancer patients, especially, music therapy associated with massage therapy is very cost-effective, pointing to the need for the formulation of other non-pharmacological methods. Music is intrinsically related to the reduction of pain, anxiety and stress, as well as a direct relationship with spiritual improvement and quality of life. Music therapy reinforces multidisciplinary care for the patient in palliative care, and may even reduce pain in those affected.

Studies on the biology of cancer are multiplying and have been giving significant repercussions on the care of cancer patients, and there is a growing need to evaluate the biology of the tumor. Conventional tissue biopsies currently represent the gold standard in the diagnosis of cancer, but they are not suitable for serial analysis because of the need for invasive procedures, besides being able to present a high risk of life and also impossibility of reaching surgical in some tumors. To solve this obstacle, the use of the Liquid Biopsy, which analyzes the presence of biomarkers released by cancer cells, such as circulating tumor cells (CTCs), tumor cell DNA (ctDNA) and exosomes is being discussed. These techniques are non-invasive or minimally invasive and collect their samples from peripheral blood, plasma and serum, urine, saliva and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). As they are already being used in the treatment of several histopathological types of cancer, these new techniques generally represent a revolution in the understanding of early diagnosis, choice of personalized treatment, follow-up of the treatment response in real time, detection of minimal residual disease and prognosis for malignant neoplasms. The objective of this study was to present a literature review to clarify the fundamental molecular and clinical aspects involved in this revolutionary diagnostic technique by extracting the data from the sample. Since the twentieth century, humanity has been experiencing a public health reality marked by numerous mosquito-borne diseases (belonging to the arthropod class), known as arboviruses. The Zika virus has become in recent years a risk to Brazilian and international public health due to its devastating effect due to its pathogenesis but also to fetal neurological development, causing serious health problems such as microcephaly and Guillain-Barré Syndrome, but also myelitis and meningoencephalitis. However, scientists studying the Zika virus have been trying to use the agent's ability to cause infections in healthy cells to attack and destroy cancer cells, such as the case of grade IV astrocytoma known as Gliobastoma Multiforme (GBM), which is a tumor of the very aggressive central nervous system and worse prognosis among primary cancers. As a result of effective therapy for GBM and the tropism of this etiological agent for brain cells, the hypothesis is that this virus would cause cell death in glioblastomas through metabolic alterations induced by the induced viral infection, but further studies must be carried out to demonstrate this therapeutic advantage in using the virus for the treatment of this malignant disease. Keywords: Zika virus; Gliobastoma Multiforme; Tumor of the Central Nervous System.

Hansen’s Disease is a chronic, infectious and slowly evolving disease caused by the etiologic agent Mycobacterium leprae, or Hansen's bacillus. The contagion is by secretions of the upper airways and droplets of saliva. Although it is a basically cutaneous disease, it can also affect peripheral nerves, eyes and eventually other organs. Its presentation is manifested in four clinical forms: indeterminate, tuberculoid, borderline or dimorphic and virchowian. And the operational classification for therapeutic purposes consists of two groups: paucibacillary and multibacillary. Objective: To characterize the epidemiological profile of leprosy cases in Cajazeiras - PB. This is a quantitative study, exploratory and descriptive, based on the collection of secondary data contained in the leprosy notification sheets of the Aging and Notification Information System (SINAN), in the period from 2012 to 2016. The work was carried out with the data obtained in the macro-region of Cajazeiras, which gathers about fourteen municipalities. A total of 468 cases of leprosy were reported in the period from 2012 to 2016. Regarding the sociodemographic characteristics, it was identified that the majority are male, brown, age group between 30 and 39 years old and schooling with incomplete elementary school. In relation to the clinical characterization of leprosy, the data show a predominance of the dimorphic form and multibacillary operational classification. It is concluded that it is important to reorganize the work process in order to integrate the control actions to the primary care services, especially in the Family Health Teams, with emphasis on the collective approach.

Abstract: Postpartum depression can reach up to 15% of pregnant women in developed countries, 25% in underdeveloped countries and up to 40% throughout the perinatal period. Depressive mothers interact less with their children, they show less love and affection, and this may have an impact on the lives of these infants in the future. Babies who lived in this context had problems with language acquisition, cognitive impairment, delay in achieving developmental milestones, attachment insecure, low self-esteem. It is essential that the diagnosis of depression be made as early as possible so that therapeutic and preventive measures are implemented in a timely manner in order to provide healthy child growth and ensure the good mental health of these mothers.Keywords: Postpartum depression; childish behaviour; mother-child relationship; diagnosis; pharmacological treatment; combination therapy;
