This article discusses abaout the elements of factual narrative text at Sosok section in Kompas newspaper 2018. The results of the study of factual narrative text in sosok section is expected to be used as a source of teaching material in writing factual narrative text at school. The subject of this research is sosok section in Kompas daily newspaper 2018. The objects of this research are intrinsic elements of narrative text including background, series of events and characterizations in the sosok section. This study aims to describe background, series of events and characterizations and the results will be used to compile teaching materials in learning to write inspirational story. The method used was a qualitative research method. To collect data, the technique used was document study. The data were analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of analysis, the results show that social background of the figure, educational background of the figure, and the natural environment in the rubric were very diverse. Social background of the figures in this rubric are from academia, artists, and common people. Their educational backgrounds also vary, from a professor to a high school graduate. The age of figures also vary, from 22 to 70 years old. Even the genders are various. The natural environment in which the figures are located is various, starting from urban areas, rural areas and even inland and disaster-prone areas. The series of events in the sosok section are interwoven chronologically and based on cause-effect.Keywords : factual narrative, sosok section.

This article will describe the effectiveness of the problem based learning approach in improving exposition text writing skills. The method used in the study was an experiment with the design Randomize Pretest-Posttest Control Group with test techniques and questionnaires. The result shows that the average value of the experimental class pretetst 59.97, and posttest 85.76, while the average value of pretest in the control class 58.91, and posttest 67.53. To see the increase in each class, an N-gain test is performed. Based on the test results it was found that in the experimental class there were 18 students who had high writing skills, 12 students with moderate writing skills, and 4 students who had low writing skills, while in the control class there were 3 students who had high writing skills, 16 students with abilities moderate writing, and 15 students who have low writing skills. Based on this, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning approach is very effectively used in learning activities in exposition text writing. This article will examine one of Cianjur's local wisdoms, namely beluk art, its context and rumpaka. The data were obtained by descriptive analytical method,that is to examine and describe seni beluk qualitatively. Seni beluk is a type of art that is closely related to wawacan literature that uses pupuh rules. Commonly, seni beluk is performed at the 40 days old-baby birth ceremony, but gradually the pattern of life of society develops so that seni beluk is not only presented at the 40 days old-baby ceremony but also at a ceremonial event related with circumcision , wedding and religion ceremonials. Considering its presentation, seni beluk still holds the tradition and culture the of ancestors.Keywords:beluk, local wisdom, lyrics

This paper is motivated by the lack of students' interest in learning to write poetry and lack of interest in literature. In addition, teaching materials based on local wisdom are still rarely used in learning Indonesian. In connection with this, this paper will describe the utilization of the skills and abilities of students in writing poetry. The method used in the research is descriptive. The research technique used is content analysis, interviews, and tests. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the average value of kakawihan's poetry writing ability in class VII of SMP N 3 Cianjur is 77.9 is in a good category with 76-85 mastery interval. The highest score of students in writing kakawihan poetry is 87 obtained by one student (4%), and the lowest value is 73 obtained by 5 students (20%). Thus, kakawihan kaulinan barudak can be used as teaching material in learning Indonesian language based on local wisdom.Keywords: writing poetry, kakawihan kaulinan barudak

The communicative approach and use an iamege media without pictorial picture books can be used to improve students' skills in writing essays. The research was conducted using a classroom action research design. Subjects in this study were third grade students of Cinangsi Elementary School, Cikalongkulon District. The study was conducted in two cycles. Data collection uses test and non-test techniques. The test used is a test of action in the form of assignment writing essays, while the non-test technique used is observation, journals, interviews, and photo documentation. The results showed that the average learning outcomes in the first cycle was 73.79, and in the second cycle increased to 88.12. Thus, there was an increase from cycle I to cycle II of 14.33%. This increase in student writing skills is also followed by changes in behavior, from negative behavior to positive behavior. In cycle II, students who were previously less enthusiastic about writing essays became enthusiastic, happy, and interested after participating in learning to write essays with a communicative approach and media without textbooks.Keywords: communicative approach, writing essays
