Nicolae Iorga’s life and works contain several examples of cultivating responsibility towards the national cultural heritage. The great historian published articles in the written press and held radio conferences about different sites bearing historic and artistic value. Their preservation, considered the author, could contribute to maintaining the spiritual link between generations and the formation of national consciousness. In Valenii de Munte, where he lived, Iorga founded the School of Moral and National Missionaries “Queen Mary” and the School of Forgotten Arts. The school programmes included excursions to historical sites, courses in pottery, icons restoration, carpet weaving and artistic binding. Many of Nicolae Iorga’s ideas in the field of artistic education, continue to be up-to-date models that deserve to be followed.

The article is a study of the historical evolution of the communication process and some theoretical reflections on the definition of the term. It describes the development of the communication process in different historical periods, being emphasized the connection of the phenomenon with the history of human evolution. The content of the concept has been researched by scientists from the perspective of several sciences: philosophy, sociology, psychology, computer science, mathematics, semiotics and from other fields, and most of them defined the term communication. The article contains a series of definitions to better understand the issue of defining the term. Up to the present, there is no accepted definition as one that encompasses all the features of the phenomenon. This is due to the polysemantic and complex nature of communication which it has obtained during the historical development.

The author discusses the issue of preserving and relocating / reassembling a monumental work of art, included in the list of national heritage values – the mosaic panel „Art (Attributes of Art)”, made by the artist Mihai Burea (1972) on the facade of the former Palace of Culture of Trade Unions, Rascani sector in Chisinau, dismantled in 2018, following the demolition of the block. The importance of the mosaic panel is enhanced by the status of the image, as a product of an interaction between the sender and receiver and, at the same time, as a place of transition to the mentality that generated it, as an object of representation and as an object-means of transmission/communication of a written message/implicit to the genre.

The creative youth needs a wide range of skills to realize their potential, both in their professional activity and in society. Civic competences are among the key competences, which have not yet found their well-established place in the education system of our country, as well as at European level. Contributing to the growth of the democratic culture of the creative youth, the civic competences can be fully developed in the study process of the socio-humanistic disciplines in the university education. The aim of the study was to examine the experience of training European civic competences in higher artistic education in order to contribute to the rethinking, appreciation and improvement of forms and methods, enriching the content of these experiences in modern conditions in accordance with the new realities.

Emotional intelligence is the personal ability to identify and effectively manage one’s emotions in relation to personal goals (career, family, education, etc.). Even if a person has enough knowledge and intelligent ideas, if he does not know and fails to manage his emotions and feelings, he may encounter difficulties in trying to build relationships with others. The COVID-19 pandemic created fear, anxiety and depression among the population, but the most exposed were those who already suffered from a mental disorder. All these changes could but affect human behavior in the management of interpersonal relationships. Social distancing, meeting bans, hygiene measures, lockdown, closed schools and kindergardens, technical unemployment – for most people life has suddenly changed after March 2020. The consequences are visible especially in mental health and interpersonal relationships.

The article contains a theoretical study, which reflects the monuments of exterior and interior architecture, being a part of the cultural and historical heritage of a people, and one of the fundamental elements of national identity that connects contemporary society with its valuable and historical past. And their preservation and restoration is the duty of specialists in the field, architects and interior designers, who at the same time, adapting it to modernity, must preserve the grandeur and restore the beauty of the old building, a legacy for future generations. The author comes with the analysis of such a forgotten architectural edifice – Vladimir Herţa Urban Villa (also called Casa Herţa), a true „baroque architectural gem” monument registered in the Register of monuments of national and municipal importance, Register of Monuments of the Republic of Moldova protected by the State. Both the concept and the architectural form of the building, the facade and the interior spaces attracted the public’s attention for its artistic qualities.

The content of the article deals with an important element of the sculpture – the pedestal/ plinth. On it are inlaid all the main data related to the theme of the sculpture, the technique of execution, the time when it was executed and the name of the author. Pedestals can differ in shape, size and proportion. The ways of interpreting the pedestal/plinth in sculpture require knowledge of the purpose of its placement in a particular architectural or landscape environment. Some pedestals from the works of the great Romanian sculptor C. Brâncuşi are also analyzed as examples.

Admirer of troubadour poetry, Arcadie Suceveanu (b. November 16, 1952, Suceveni, Chernivtsi region, Ukraine) pays close attention to the image of the woman. The feminine includes admiration and fear, desire and meaning. The woman is delicate in his creation, a beauty without body in which the realities of imagination and the everyday are transparent. The lyrical self takes on the role of Pygmalion with a few differences: it does not turn the statue into a woman, but turns Galatea into poetry; love does not perfect, but constitutes the game of acceptance without external transformations, it has the power to give essence to creation itself. Respectively, the transformations are supported by the artist. In this article we have analyzed the aesthetic concepts that also have tangents with ancient myths.

The composer Alexandr Mulear was born on May 18, 1922 in the Ukrainian city of Savran, Odessa region, and died on June 17, 1994 in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. Throughout his life he distinguished himself as a talented composer and musician, a skilled pedagogue, and last but not least as an energetic cultural activist. A. Mulear bequeathed works that manage to stand out by their uniqueness and clarity, based mainly on the Moldovan folk art, treasury and folk melodies. His composition activity can be divided into three periods: the first period of musical creativity (1949-1955), the second period (1956-1970), and the third, last period of creativity, from 1971 to the end of ofhis life.
