The advent of the Internet era has given rise to a large number of online sales platforms. In this paper, the author analyzed the marketing approach of Taobao, a company owned by Alibaba (especially during shopping festivals), in the Internet era through SWOT analysis. According to the analysis result, the strength of the marking strategy of Taobao is its rapid development of the Internet, suitable geographical environment and the accuracy of big data analysis. Its weakness are the price differentials and system stability. Besides, the opportunities of Taobao are the gradual expansion of the market size and the improvement of the young group's consumption power. At last, competitors and consumer privacy issues are the threatens that Taobao is facing. The results show that although Taobao's online marketing in the Internet era has certain weaknesses and threats, its strength is an important reason for Taobao's huge profits.

This paper explores the relationship between economic policy uncertainty (EPU) and corporate investment cash sensitivity. We find that economic policy uncertainty has a significant impact on the investment-cash flow sensitivity of firms. Moreover, these results were still robust after a series of robustness tests and endogeneity treatments. More importantly, this paper finds that EPU impacts firms' investment-cash flow sensitivity mainly by affecting financing constraints (information disclosure, operational risk). Finally, compared with large-scale enterprises, EPU has a more significant impact on the investment-cash flow sensitivity of small-scale enterprises. Compared with enterprises with a high state-owned share ratio, EPU significantly impacts enterprises with a low state-owned share ratio. Moreover, we also find that institutional investors have no significant mitigating effect on the sensitivity of investment cash flow of enterprises impacted by economic policy uncertainties. The data we used was from the Wind data system, and the fixed effect panel was used, and the measurement method was LSDV.

Digital platforms have made a dramatic impact on the modern economy. Firms with business models anchored on digital platforms are generating unprecedented value. Much of this value comes through unlocking the power of data. Exemplars are companies such as Didi, WeChat and Alipay. Previous research has illuminated many aspects of such digital platforms and how they unlock the value of data. However, we have more to understand on how traditional companies, built on value chain-based business models, can create similarly unlock the value of data. In this paper, we study a traditional product, namely sanitary pads, to demonstrate how traditional firms can unlock the value of data similar to what digital platforms can do. This paper will discuss the role of sensors and how sanitary pads can be extended into digital platforms.
