This article explores the relationship between social pedagogy and social work in Greece. The search begins with the identification of their philosophical roots, which, although they are common and start from the Ancient Greek philosophers, have led the course of each discipline in a different direction. What follows is the presentation of the most important defining elements of the development of the studies of social work and social pedagogy in Greece, which include features and historical landmarks. The different trajectories can be seen from the development of studies, where social work has a long tradition as an academic discipline, whereas the academic tradition of social pedagogy is much shorter. A similar differentiation is found in the professional frameworks of social work and social pedagogy in Greece, that is, in the institutionalisation of the profession of social worker and social pedagogue. Indicative data from the field of research of each discipline are then presented. Despite the differences and the autonomous trajectories, remarkable commonalities and similarities between social pedagogy and social work in Greece are identified, such as some basic principles, priorities, epistemological and methodological dimensions and some common areas of interest and action. Therefore, the autonomous trajectories of these disciplines do not separate them, but as potentially complementary, are able to make interdisciplinary connections between them, so that prevention and intervention programmes, especially in the fields of education and the community, can be developed.

Social work and social pedagogy in Colombia are disciplines and professional fields of special relevance for social and educational action. This article analyses what has been the evolution of these fields of knowledge and practice in the Colombian context, from historical, disciplinary, professional and academic standpoints. For this, a documentary analysis has been carried out methodologically in the two areas of knowledge, with a historical and theoretical review of the disciplines in the country, as well as of the relevant national undergraduate and graduate programmes. This article concludes by establishing that social work has a longer historical trajectory in the country to provide social responses to complex problems and violence, with vocational professionalisation, scientific intervention and wide academic recognition in careers present in the country’s universities. In contrast, social pedagogy has had some attempts at being instituted into careers in the country and presents a great diversification of professions from popular or community education, and has struggled to become professionalised due to the prominence given to social work by public policy and education. Nonetheless, our analysis demonstrates that with the historical influence of critical pedagogies and recent global contributions, there is currently a significant upward trajectory of social pedagogy in Colombia, with two Master’s degrees existing since 2019 (which train educators and social workers in socio-educational action).

The now-emerging development of social pedagogy in the US continues to benefit greatly from better understanding how social pedagogy has evolved as a profession in countries where it is well established, such as Germany. The necessity for a unified definition of ‘social pedagogy’ appears to be desired increasingly by countries around the world in regard to social pedagogical theories and methods. Building such a definition requires an understanding of the development of the practices inherent in social care work as a whole, from which social pedagogy has emerged. This article proposes that the praxis and philosophies which formed social care work in Germany and the US, and which remains as Sozialpädagogische Arbeit (social pedagogical work) in Germany, had at one time in history experienced similar and complementary growth in the US. The article also explores concepts of ‘individualism’ as one area in which said philosophies began to diverge.

This study investigated the socioeconomic determinants of livelihood choice among farmers in Pakistan. Using a multistage sample technique, 160 rural inhabitants were selected for this study. Using an organized interview schedule, a focused group discussion, and personal observation, data were gathered and then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, such as the mean, frequency counts, and percentages. Using a multivariate regression analysis using ordinary least squares, socioeconomic factors influencing the choice of livelihood in the region were found. The majority of participants were male (57 percent), married (95 percent), older than 40 years (87.5%), and older than 40 years on average (54 years). The average number of years respondents spent in school was 10, their average household size was seven, and their average monthly income was 21,000 rupees. With corresponding means of 3,7 and 2,9, agriculture and commerce were assessed to be the principal means of sustenance for rural dwellers in the region. Age, years of education, and monthly income were most significant socioeconomic factors influencing livelihood activities in the region.

The wheat crop is one of the most important strategic crops to which the state pays great attention, However, it is characterized by weak productivity to meet its consumption needs of it. Therefore, the study aimed to estimate the efficiency of the technological levels used in the production of wheat crops to raise the efficiency of the exploitation of its resources. To achieve the research objectives, a field study was conducted in Faqous city in Sharkia Governorate during the agricultural season 2020/2021. The results of the research indicate that the fifth technological level is considered the best technological level in the sample in the efficiency of the exploitation of productive resources and the achievement of the targeted productivity thereof, It also showed its positive impact on feddan productivity when measuring the impact of technological change using the Malmquist index as an alternative to the first level that is not used for technology, And that the generalization of its application at the level of the area planted with wheat in both the Faqous city and the Sharkia Governorate will increase the total production of wheat and save hard currency. The study advocates the necessity of Expanding the use of modern technology, Activating the role of agricultural extension in the diffusion of technological innovations while providing agricultural associations with production requirements and the necessary equipment at appropriate prices and wages and the appropriate dates for agriculture.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the exchange rate's effect on economic development. Utilizing panel data from 1990 to 2019, and using the autoregressive distributive lag test. All data was gathered from the World Development Indicator (WDI) (exchange rate, population growth, government consumption, broad money, and trade), the Reserve Bank of India (India's exchange rate), and "Crude Oil WTI Futures Historical Data" (Oil Price). Economic growth (GDP), exchange rate, crude oil price, trade, government consumption, board money, and population growth are some of the variables studied. The ARDL technique was used to calculate the exchange rate. We discovered that the rate of exchange influences economic growth positively, Trade, Population Growth, Govt Consumption, and the price of oil were also positive. impact on Economics Growth and the Broad Money has a Noxious impact on Economics Growth.

A new interest in social pedagogy has arisen internationally since the beginning of the twenty-first century. This new development is accompanied with considerations on how to translate abstract notions such as social pedagogy to fit new social contexts. The umbrella term ‘social professions’ helps to gain an international and transnational outlook, as it does not solely focus on a single profession that has become dominant in the social sector of a single nation state. This article aims to show that there are important interconnections in the histories of social professions in the various nation states which have influenced both social work and social pedagogy. Instead of focusing on the distinctions between the various social professions, this approach aims to reveal the boundary objects which have facilitated the links between the different developments without causing the social professions to become homogeneous. During the progressive era in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, there was a transatlantic discourse that influenced those professions’ further development. It is argued specifically that the settlement house movement and its understanding of and work with the community affected the development of social pedagogy, as these ideas and practices were adapted to comply with the changing face of social pedagogy in the second decade of the twentieth century.
