A realistic study of the sensitivity to signals of strong electroweak symmetry breaking at Tesla energies using ee→WWνν and ee→ZZνν processes is presented. Limits on α4 and α5, parameters of the electroweak chiral lagrangian, are given and discussed.

Electron-electron collisions at TESLA 特斯拉的电子-电子碰撞

Electron-electron collisions at the future TESLA linear collider is a promising complement to e+e− collisions. A critical issue for the physics potential of this option is the achievable luminosity. For e+e− collisions, the pinch effect enhances the luminosity, while due to the repelling forces for e−e− collisions, the luminosity is significantly reduced and is more sensitive to beam separations. This report discusses the e−e− option for TESLA and the expected luminosity.

We summarize the current status and future developments of the North American Group’s Java-based system for studying physics and detector design issues at a linear collider. The system is built around Java Analysis Studio (JAS) an experiment-independent Java-based utility for data analysis. Although the system is an integrated package running in JAS, many parts of it are also standalone Java utilities.

Heavy Majorana neutrinos may well provide key features for the understanding of the Standard Model neutral lepton spectrum. The Electron Linear Collider can give critical evidence towards their discovery. No presently available data exclude their existence at the TeV mass level.
