PCs and cell phones have physical buttons such as a keyboard and call buttons, but a touch screen device usually does not. Since there are no tactile marks such as braille, it is difficult to operate through a capacitive touch screen without seeing and just after a quick look at the screen. We have proposed a new operation method called inverse tap (iTap) for capacitive touch panels [1]. iTap is judged as a tap operation when the finger leaves the screen and touches it again. User can find the point of operation by the tactile marks without looking at the screen, and perform operation equivalent to tapping. In this paper, we propose a new additional method called “two-finger inverse tap”, and attempt to diversify the operation options for a single operation point.

The purpose of this research is to investigate how people view posters in order to find out the rules of graphic design in posters for research presentations. Such rules may include layout and color choices that researchers can refer to when creating posters. Poster presentations need to help the viewer understand the research in a limited amount of time. Even if one thinks they have created a poster with all the right elements, one cannot be sure that the people viewing the research poster will see it in the order that was intended, or that the points meant to be emphasized will be viewed carefully. We prepared research posters created by a graphic designer, analyzed how people viewed them using an eye-tracker, and conducted an interview survey. As a result, we found out that it is possible to guide the eyes depending on the layout and that people who are familiar with viewing research posters only look at the elements that interest them.
