The project consists of the installation of an environmentally sustainable habitation module for a vulnerable sector (In this case “Kyrios”, Rehabilitation Center); the module was built with waste plastic materials from different companies' packaging processes. A photovoltaic system and a solar collector were included as well to meet electricity and thermal energy demands respectively. To guarantee housing conditions, different tests were performed to material, such as Mechanical Resistance, Thermal and acoustic Conductivity.

Advanced SVC intelligent control to improve power quality in Microgrids 先进的SVC智能控制改善微电网电能质量

There are certain problems within Microgrids related to the reactive power, due to the installed Distributed Generation (DG) and the non-linear loads. A Microgrid is implemented with PSCAD/EMTDC software and three study cases, or operational modes of the Microgrid, are simulated. Initially a characterization of the power flows through the Microgrid is done, using the P-Q Theory, which facilitates the recognition of the main power issues that have to be compensated in the Microgrid. Then an SVC is implemented, using a control strategy based on fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms, in order to mitigate those power issues identified in the power flow characterization. It is important to take into account that all the simulations (the characterization and the compensation) are made for the three study cases running PSCAD and Matlab simultaneously.

Stability analysis of a photovoltaic system with DC/DC flyback converter using Filippov's method 基于Filippov方法的DC/DC反激变换器光伏系统稳定性分析

This paper presents stability analysis of a photovoltaic (PV) system with DC/DC flyback converter. Traditional methods of stability analysis have limitations due to the non-smooth nature of the converter, but it is possible to analyze a piecewise smooth system with the Filippov's method. Functions are presented for each of the surfaces defined by different switching states. Simulates the behavior of the converter using nominal operating parameters. Finally, we analyze the stability of the system, through a phase space diagram, varying the load resistance.

Load estimation of power transformers using an artificial neural network 基于人工神经网络的电力变压器负荷估计

This paper presents a methodology for load estimation of power transformers by means of an artificial neural network. To implement the proposed methodology the data of two power transformers, located in different places and with different operational conditions, were considered. Real data from a data base was provided by utility Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. (ISA). To forecast the load curves a neural network was trained using MATLAB, being able to fit a load curve with daily and weekly prediction times. The proposed method allows the estimation of load curve values in power transformers with an average percentage of relative error around 10%. The method described in this paper can be applied to other equipment with similar operating characteristics.

Optimization of an analog controller for a solar tracker using genetic algorithms and particle swarm optimization 基于遗传算法和粒子群优化的太阳跟踪器模拟控制器优化

This paper shows the design and implementation of an analog controller for a solar tracker. The kind of controller implemented consists of a pole, a zero and gain. The calculation of controller parameters is performed by bio-inspired optimization algorithms. In particular are used Particle Swarm Optimization and Genetic Algorithms. This seeks to observe the performance that these two types of algorithms has for this class of applications. The comparison of results for the algorithms is performed statistically.

Development of prototypes and scale models of renewable energy systems in the Instituto Tecnologico de Soledad Atlántico - ITSA 在Soledad技术研究所Atlántico - ITSA开发可再生能源系统的原型和比例模型

On October 3rd of 2001, Congress of the Republic of Colombia made official Law 697 of 2001 which encourages rational and efficient use of energy, promotes the use of alternative energy and other provisions. This initiative of the government has strengthened very significantly the decision of higher education institutions and even secondary schools to advance the training of their students on the topic of renewable energy sources. ITSA has been carrying out projects, developing prototypes, scale models and simulations related to the subject, since its inception as an institution of higher education, mainly solar energy photovoltaic and solar thermal, wave energy systems and innovative initiatives such as utilization system for vehicle flow to generate electricity, or water reuse systems in shopping centers to save energy and water. Taking into account the importance of this research, teachers and students have participated in internal project samples, departmental events and national events, achieving important recognitions. This article is the result of the selection of the most outstanding projects for the past eighteen (18) months of work in the seedbed of the Rational Use of Energy ITSA.

Modeling uncertainties in the harmonic distortion calculation in power systems, due to wind farms 风电系统谐波失真计算中的建模不确定性

This article presents and develops main aspects to be considered when harmonics have to be modeled in a power system including wind farms in its generator fleet. In particular, uncertainty involved in the analysis, because the wind speed variations, is considered and included in a more complete methodology, that is capable to compute the possibility distributions of the harmonic voltage distortion at all buses of the power system. Such a methodology, developed by the authors, is the possibilistic harmonic load-flow. Simulations to test the proposal are developed in the IEEE 14-bus standard test system for harmonic analysis, but replacing the generator at bus two, with a wind farm.

This paper outlines the analysis of the concept in the implementation of distributed generation systems focused on the city of Bogotá. Different experiences of adoption of this type of generation, that could be located in various parts of the city, with special emphasis on the economic, environmental, and improved reliability of electricity supply, reported by different authors. Similarly, it also presents a characterization of Colombian electricity sector, through a historical overview of its evolution to its current state, applying the concept of distributed generation. Finally, define benefits and disadvantages of the implementation of distributed generation in Bogota, to be applied to obtain an effective and permanent positioning of these technologies in power schemes in other regions of the country. The conclusion, about the possibility of implementing distributed generation systems under conditions of government stimulus for the development of technologies based on renewable energy generation and cogeneration.

Instrumentation and design of a supervisory system for an Anaerobic Biodigestor 厌氧生物消化器监控系统的仪器仪表与设计

This paper presents the design of a supervisory system of an Anaerobic Biodigestor pilot plant located at Universidad de Ibagué in Colombia to produce Biogas. This contribution includes the design of a reliable low-cost instrumentation; whereby, the correct selection, implementation, and calibration of sensors of temperature, pH, CO2, CH4, and gas flow play an important role in accomplishing a good design. The supervisory system is used to perform tasks of fault-detection and on-line measuring; where the last one is essential for modeling by extracting kinetic information of the degradation process and automatic control. Labview® was chosen as the software platform to develop the supervisory system.
