Stadiony piłkarskie stanowią przestrzeń artykułowania przekazów przez najbardziej zaangażowanych kibiców – ultrasów. Platformą ich komunikatów są przede wszystkim transparenty, banery oraz flagi. Treści tych opraw dotyczą zarówno zagadnień tożsamościowych (klubowych, narodowych, odnoszących się do wspólnych wartości), jak i stanowią komentarz do bieżącej sytuacji społecznej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zatem analiza i systematyzacja całokształtu przekazów formułowanych przez ultrasów Lecha Poznań za pomocą analizy treści opraw, uwiecznionych na fotorelacjach ze 177 spotkań meczowych Kolejorza. Tekst skupia się na treściach wszystkich banerów, transparentów, flag oraz sektorówek przedstawianych w „Kotle” (sektorze ultrasów Lecha Poznań) podczas rozgrywek piłkarskiej Ekstraklasy w latach 2017–2021. Materiał badawczy służy do wskazania głównych obszarów tematycznych aktywności komunikacyjnej kibiców oraz kategoryzacji tworzonych przez nich treści. Artykuł wskazuje, iż stadion pełni rolę medium komunikacyjnego oraz miejsca autoprezentacji kibiców, podkreślając wewnętrzną spójność świata najbardziej zagorzałych fanów piłki nożnej.

Przedmiotem rozważań w artykule jest idea uczenia się przez całe życie (lifelong learning) oraz tworzony w ramach UE europejski obszar edukacji. Oba przedmioty badań są „wytwarzane” w ramach UE za pomocą odpowiednich dokumentów strategicznych (traktowanych w sensie analitycznym jako teksty preskryptywne), które stanowić mają wytyczne dla krajów członkowskich w zakresie wdrażania konkretnych rozwiązań edukacyjnych w postaci legislacji, programów, projektów itd. Dokumenty wybrane w drodze selekcji badawczej stanowią podstawę badania empirycznego, prowadzonego w duchu refleksji postfoucaultowskiej z zastosowaniem wybranych narzędzi typowych dla analizy ramowania oraz jakościowej analizy treści. W szerszym ujęciu artykuł służy ukazaniu sposobów problematyzowania i instrumentalizowania edukacji w polityce UE, która z kolei jest efektem przyjęcia określonego modelu gospodarczego.

Śpiączka to zjawisko, które dotyka niewielki odsetek członków społeczeństwa. Jej konsekwencje mogą być bardzo poważne, zarówno w aspekcie zdrowotnym, jak i psychologicznym oraz społecznym. O zjawisku tym dużo pisze się w ramach nauk o zdrowiu, natomiast nauki społeczne nieszczególnie interesują się śpiączką. Celem mojego artykułu jest analiza tekstów naukowych, które poruszają temat śpiączki i jej skutków, oraz wyodrębnienie tematów poruszanych w dyskursie naukowym o śpiączce. Stawiam sobie także zadanie wskazania, jak wiele wniosków o psychospołecznym wymiarze śpiączki płynie z nauk o zdrowiu dla nauk społecznych. Aby zmapować wątki obecne w literaturze, buduję bazę publikacji, którą kolejno poddaję analizie treści. Jak wykazała analiza, wśród wyodrębnionych tematów w ramach problematyki śpiączki i jej konsekwencji znajdują się m.in. tożsamość osób wybudzonych, codzienność po wybudzeniu oraz przedstawianie śpiączki w tekstach kultury. Przeprowadzona analiza potwierdza, że śpiączka i jej konsekwencje to obszar wymagający eksploracji przez nauki społeczne, a szczególnie socjologię.

This paper seeks to contribute to debates about the negative consequences of inequality, by examining the resilience of the failed and damaging doctrines of neoliberal supply-sidism in terms of the powerful hegemony of economic and political interests allied to the financial services sector, focussing the role of the UK in facilitating that hegemony. It deploys the concept “permissive neoliberalism”, signifying both the formal embedding of property rights over financial assets as the legal encoding of the short-term predatory hunt for “yield”, and the political toleration of criminal and criminogenic activity. The description of some of the most egregious examples of predatory financialisation illuminates the sanctification by the neoliberal state of ruthless value-extraction and the toleration of an increasingly chronic dependence on of the UK political economy on the City of London and its archipelago of secrecy jurisdictions. The shorter second part of the paper charts the growth of a mindset of entitlement on the part of economic and political elites and the role of psychopathic narcissism in crafting a legitimating narrative of their hegemony. The chronic disorder in the allocation of humanity’s material and financial resources invites a strong conclusion that financialised capitalism is not simply “killing the host” qua sustainable economic order, but is threatening the very survival of humanity’s biosphere by blocking the deployment of financial and human capital at sufficient scale to rescue the world’s climate from catastrophe.

The aim of the article is to present the results of qualitative research into the ways women and men show love in heterosexual relationships and to indicate gender similarities and differences in this area. The analysis is based on references to traditional and modern models of femininity and masculinity. The respondents’ opinions were divided into two main areas – widely defined communication (gestures of tenderness, emotional support, behavior during misunderstandings) and specific activities (helping perform household duties or other activities for the partner, buying gifts, organizing free time, initiating sex). The analysis of the empirical material showed the interpenetration of patriarchal and modern models of femininity and masculinity in how women and men behave lovingly towards their partners. Both men and women draw inspiration from the repertoire of behaviors, as well as from traditional masculinity and femininity, evolving towards a modern model of femininity and masculinity that becomes more androgynous. In this way, they definitely expand the ways they show love, combining the more emotional, feminine ways with the more active, more traditionally “masculine” ones.

Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie postaw wobec jedzenia osób określających się jako zwolennicy dobrowolnej prostoty, a także dyskursów uzasadniających te postawy. W pierwszej części rozważam rolę i status jedzenia w intencjonalnym upraszczaniu życia, w drugiej analizuję konkretne praktyki świadomego jedzenia, w trzeciej natomiast omawiam strategie przeciwdziałania marnowaniu żywności. Kontekstem wywodu jest chęć odzyskania poczucia sprawstwa i kontroli nad własnym życiem, szczególnie doświadczana w sytuacji obecnej niepewności i braku stabilizacji. Materiałem analitycznym są publikacje książkowe i blogi, których twórcami są osoby upraszczające życie.

In 2020, as part of the municipal “mikroDOTACJE”, we conducted a study of the #SzczecinPomaga campaign on how local government and non-governmental institutions dealt with helping the inhabitants of this city during the lockdown forced by the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the elements of this research were interviews with coordinators of institutions involved in aid activities undertaken as part of this campaign. Most of the questions that we’ve asked our respondents concerned broadly understood volunteering. We asked about the methods of searching and recruiting volunteers and the methods of organizing their activities in the difficult coronavirus reality. In May 2021 (exactly one year later), we repeated these interviews and found out how the coordinators assess the situation of Szczecin’s voluntary service after two consecutive waves of the pandemic and holiday “lockdowns”. We look at the problem from the point of view of the practice of coordinating aid activities, relations with volunteers, as well as opinions on their commitment and willingness to help.1

This article aims to present selected aspects of everyday life of people who define themselves as followers of simplifying life in view of the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland. The article comprises three parts. The first, in a synthetic form, gives an outline of the idea of a simple life, its main beliefs and manifestations, whereas the second describes the degree and types of changes in the organisation of everyday life of simplifiers at the given time. The third part investigates whether the pandemic-triggered experiences have the potential to modify current consumption attitudes. This point is a reference to voices appearing in the public debate signalling – especially in the initial phase – such a possibility on a wider social scale. The research material was blog entries, fragments of podcasts on the simple life, and other sources (reports, scientific and journalistic texts).

The article presents selected results of qualitative research indicating an attempt of self-construction by alumni of creating institutional and family forms of care in relation to experiences, autonomy and risk (including the risk associated with the COVID-19 pandemic). It appears that not the pandemic but adaptation to life outside institution affects the vulnerable life balance which, in light of lack of possibilities and resources necessary to overcome difficulties, sets the direction life course of the research participants. These difficulties lead to the implementation of certain functioning strategies which translate into life choices. The empirical data comes from quality in-depth interviews which make it possible to examine the world experienced and perceived by individuals.
