The Current Status of Arabic Language Teaching in Nigeria: Challenges and Developments 尼日利亚阿拉伯语教学的现状:挑战与发展

We discuss in this paper the teaching of the Arabic Language in Nigeria in the 21st century, considering the challenges that face this language and the developments it gains from its lovers and scholars in this country. Therefore, we started by narrating the history of Nigeria and emergence of Arabic Language therein, as we mentioned the means through which it arose in the country. We discussed the role of the colonialists in the weakness of the standard of Arabic Language and the contribution of some Arabic scholars in translating many English texts into Arabic. We also investigated the conditions of Arabic education in Nigerian universities and into the benefits for some students of Arabic Language with modern technological education.

This study aims to identify linguistic communication and its role in developing language skills “listening skill as a model.” The research included an important problem with educational dimensions in achieving effective linguistic communication between the teacher and his students, and the ability to know the strengths and weaknesses that students suffer from when communicating with others. We have referred to the concept of linguistic communication through which information and ideas are transferred between individuals, considering communication an essential part linked to human life. Without linguistic communication, we cannot achieve any specific goal or goal, in addition we touched on the skill of listening as the first of the important language skills, which is a receptive skill, the role of this skill in the linguistic communication process and the role of the teacher in it, and the steps and methods of teaching this skill, in order to enrich the students’ language from using this skill in the communication process. daily.

Kajian ini merupakan kajian mengenai tahap penguasaan fi‘l amr terhadap para pelajar Akademi Pengajian Islam Universiti Malaya, Nilam Puri, Kelantan. Matlamat utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti pengetahuan pelajar prauniversiti terhadap fi‘l amr terutama berkaitan wazan fi‘l amr serta mengetahui masalah yang dihadapi oleh para pelajar pra-APIUM berkaitan fi‘l amr. Sampel kajian yang akan dipilih adalah seramai 50 orang pelajar pra-Akademi Islam Universiti Malaya, Nilam puri. Kajian ini menggunakan borang soal selidik dan ujian bertulis untuk mendapatkan data dan maklum balas daripada responden. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data yang diperolehi dianalisis dengan menggunakan perisian Statistical Program Social Science (SPSS) versi 13.0 manakala dapatan kajian dibentangkan dengan bantuan jadual dan rajah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tahap penguasaan pelajar terhadap fi‘l amr di tahap sederhana. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan pelajar mempunyai masalah dalam menguasai fi‘l amr.Hasil daripada kajian ini diharap dapat memberikan manfaat dan panduan kepada pensyarah agar dapat membantu meningkatkan penguasaan fi‘l amr dalam kalangan pelajar khususnya pelajar di pra-Akademi Islam Universiti Malaya, Nilam Puri.

Deletion is one of the most important means of mitigation in the Ha’il dialects, and the hamza in the Ha’il dialects is permissible in which three rulings are permitted: it be reduced, omitted, or replaced by Ya. Most of the deletion of the mitigation in the Ha’il dialects goes as far as deleting the hamza; Because it is from the extreme of the throat, and it is one of the strongest letters, and the substitution of the hamza ya or wawa in the chapter of mitigation is the second level of mitigation in the Ha’il dialects. The research revealed the confusion between the deletion of the hamza and its reduction in the lexicon (Faseh al-Ami in the north of Najd by Abd al-Rahman al-Suwayda). Aspects of mitigation appeared in the Ha’il dialect in five ways: 1- Deletion 2- Reducing the hamza 3- Facilitating the hamza 4- Substitution of a letter with a weaker letter such as ya and waw 5- Expansion of use in the spatial heart section 6- Elimination of convergence of homologous in the chapter on immersion 7- Substitution of a letter of the gender of another letter in the chapter on the heart The slur. This research proceeds according to the descriptive approach, which is based on the analysis of texts in the Hail region. The organic intellectual, in the expression of Gramsci, carries a great concern towards the society to which he belongs. This is because he is committed to harnessing his culture and literature that he writes to raise the issues of his society and its problems. Therefore, this study comes to adopt a model for this educator, which gives an ideal image of a sense of responsibility for this person towards his community, and the need to engage in his issues and the problems that he answers in all cases in which this educated is, even in the case of imprisonment and negation, through the form of Abu Al -Ala Al -Maari poetry. This was a milestone among the writers and poets of his time. He was an active model from within the society to which he belongs, even though he remained trapped in the darkness of the blindness that afflicted him from a young age, and remained a prisoner from inside the cage of the walls of his house in which he lived until his last age. Despite all this, he contributed to the criticism of the customs and pests that inhabited his society, and became involved in advocating its reform and reform Based on an investigative approach, this study examines the motives for Al-Maarri's imprisonment and the most important social issues that he raised in his poetry from his own prison.

The aim of this research is to reveal the existence of Arabic grammar in the pre-Islamic era and the era of Islam, contrary to what some researchers argue that Arabic grammar appeared at the end of the second century AH, and we mentioned in this research examples of the phenomenon of expression in ignorance and the issue of Islam, and the emergence of terms (Arabic, grammar, melody, power) in an advanced era, and this means the existence of rules and compositions of this science at that time. This fact can be shown by the Arabs' knowledge of the Qur'an, which began to descend at the beginning of Islam, they understood his words and verses and did not object to a mistake and a mistake in it. If it had been different, he would have attacked those who rejected the Islamic call, as well as we can say that the Arabs knew the grammatical rules and composition naturally without the need to learn them, and the learning of Arabic becomes active with writing grammar and writing in Arabic at a later stage when the non-Arabs began to enter Islam and because of they have no knowledge about the language that they start studying Arabic to learn the new religion, Quran and Islam.

A total of 317 university level Arabic learners from Year 1 to Year 4 participated in this study. The quantitative research approach was utilised by using Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) and the Self-Regulated Online Learning Questionnaire (SOL-Q) as instrument of the study. SPSS analysis of the data indicated a high level of metacognitive skills and self-efficacy. Metacognitive skills and self-efficacy correlated with each other significantly predicted academic performance. Subsequent data analysis also yielded a significant difference in metacognitive strategies and self-efficacy beliefs among Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, and Year 4 learners. The implications of the results for language learning and educational practice are discussed.

This study is an attempt to examine the hypothesis that, compared to plains, emphatics negatively affect the bleed-through of indexical information associated with the gender of male and female talkers for Arabic listeners. In a preliminary experiment, Arabic male and female participants were asked to identify the consonant type of the auditorily presented CV(V) and (V)VC fragments/monosyllables as either plains or emphatics. The participants were generally able to identify both types of consonants successfully and accurately. In the main experiment, Arabic speakers and non-Arabic speakers (both male and female) were asked to classify the gender of the male and female Arabic native talkers from the stimuli used in the first experiment. The results of this second task varied between non-Arabic speakers, who surprisingly committed fewer errors in classifying talker gender, and Arabic speakers, who committed more errors. The errors committed by the Arabic speakers were observed in the emphatics condition, especially when the talker was female. These two patterns can be taken as collective evidence that the acoustic characteristics of emphatics may bias listeners’ perception of indexical information towards the male voice, which makes talker gender classification more difficult, especially in critical scenarios such as in forensic phonetic casework. Through the current article, we seek to address one of the important problems facing the process of teaching and learning Arabic as a second language, mainly related to the vocabulary component. In order to defend the proposed proposition, which is to highlight the role of features in building the lexical ability of the learner of Arabic as a second language, we divided the article into three main axes. In the first axis, they discussed the role of traits in building entrances (listening and reading), in the second axis their role in storing vocabulary, and in the third axis their role in the production process (writing and speaking). Through all of this, we concluded that traits play an important role in building the lexical destiny of the learner of Arabic as a second language. This research seeks to reveal the ways in which the Moroccan learner determines the meanings of vocabulary, in addition to determining the extent of the development of his lexical knowledge from the first level to the fourth level. Through a lexical knowledge test, a sample of 80 male and female students was divided into the following primary levels: the first level, the second level, the third level, and the fourth level. The test is based on a number of vocabulary taken from the reading texts found in government textbooks that are used in teaching Arabic at the elementary levels in Morocco.
