The main purpose of that article was justification of diveristy and mulitiplicity of meanings of the word „truth” by many examples from Cyprian Kamil Norwid’s poetry (his literature in general Bibliography). Giving a meaning by appropriate function of „truth” is connected with many issues which about is Polish Romantic Poet’s literature. Activities in according to collection of many meanings of „truth” were selected by Author for the reason of philosophical, axiological, mental, ethical, sociological and religious senses. A result of researching was based on theoretical and scientifical information from specialized and professional literature. Self-knowledge and self-esteem are important components of personality. They are formed during the acquisition of experience and self-knowledge as part of the social-emotional development of each person. Self-knowledge and self-esteem are aspects that influence each other. This article is an attempt to answer the question: what is the level of self-knowledge and self-esteem of third-grade elementary school students as perceived by their teachers? The study of this area seems to be particularly important for two reasons, firstly – taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic, and the resulting long isolation of children at home, and secondly – the media reality, in which even the youngest children are increasingly immersed. The study involved 190 third-grade pupils from elementary school in Podkarpackie voivodship. The following areas were diagnosed: coping strategies, coping with assessment, self-knowledge, self-evaluation, internal motivation and localization of control.

The modern core curriculum assumes educating a young child with the use of activating methods. During educational activities, it is important that children listen actively, think, experience and perform practical activities on their own. Modern school should ensure that students report problems, design research, conduct them, analyze and verify their results. One of the tasks of the school is also introducing students to the world of art, encouraging them to express themselves expressively through artistic, musical, literary and theatrical activity. It is closely related to developing students' abilities and interests. One must not forget about rewarding independence in thinking, cognitive curiosity, and reporting one's own initiatives. The main part of the article discusses the teaching-learning methods used in educational activities in primary school classes, with particular emphasis on those that favor the development of creative activity of children.

The COVID-19 pandemic led to a situation where older adults, the group most at risk of contracting the virus and at the same time the most digitally excluded in society, had to either give up all activity or make a greater effort to engage in various activities online. This was the case of learning a foreign language, which is one of the most popular educational activities chosen by this age group. The article analyses the potential of remote language learning with the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the context of challenges that older adults face in the digital world. Through the analysis of ten criteria for technology adoption, the study shows that the main obstacles preventing older adults from learning a foreign language online can be eliminated if third parties (family, peers, web developers, course organizers) engage in promoting and facilitating online learning experience.

Parental responsibility brings important values and feelings to life for both mother and father. New experience combines with giving and commitment. Parenthood becomes particularly difficult when a child is incapable of living alone. In such situations, parents refer to the perspective of love and concentrate on the progress in a child’s development. Writing this article, the author aimed at describing parenthood, performed by people who bring up wholly dependent children, in the context of seeking to define this process’ stages as well as actualised values. The studies use qualitative strategies (as the aim was to describe a socially constructed reality), with open interviews as a method. Collected narratives were categorised into four basic steps in the process of parenthood towards children incapable of living alone. They were as follows: opening up to a child, getting to know the child, understanding and acceptance. All these steps direct parental actions in terms of love and concern.

The problem of discipline in classrooms is a substantial element of everyday school life. It affects in equal ways both teachers and students and is an important factor affecting not only the effectiveness of teaching, but also the atmosphere in a classroom. The article shows the results of a research conducted among 529 elementary school teachers from podkarpackie voivodship. A diagnostic poll and a questionnaire were used as a method of research. The results have shown, that problems with discipline in schools are a common occurrence. Questioned teachers declared, that they handle them well using various methods, and with the help of fellow teachers, management and parents. Methods of discipline were also addressed as well as the causes of discipline issues as identified by the teachers.

The article attempts to analyze the conditions of the systemic implementation of professional development in the Polish education system. The legal basis of the teacher training system and the elements of this system in Poland were discussed. The development trends of the system were shown both in the area of gaining qualifications by teachers and improving the knowledge and skills already possessed. The specificity of teachers’ work in the aspect of socio-economic changes and the need for continuous improvement were emphasized. An analysis of the research in the area of educational needs of the educational environment was carried out in the aspect of preferences regarding the forms of in-service training within the functioning of the poviat public teacher training institution, which allowed to indicate the tendencies and preferences of teachers in the area of in-service training.
